Hardest version

The Hidden Mansion mode in the European version was heavily altered and is much harder to complete compared to the Japanese and North American versions: • Everything is mirrored from left to right. • The mansion is much darker compared to the main game. • Some of the ghosts that normally appear later in the game appear earlier. • Boos have more health and are more difficult to be sucked up by the Poltergust. • Chauncey's rocking horses are harder to avoid, since they are larger, zig-zag towards Luigi, and travel faster than in the normal mansion. • In the Bogmire battle, there is time to capture him before he disappears. • During the Boolossus battle, there is a small cutscene where Luigi must hop on the Poltergust and ride around on it while trying to pop him, making Luigi harder to control. • In the King Boo & Bowser battle, Bowser's bombs have a shorter fuse.

Carmelita's eyes

During the ending cutscene, when Sly and Carmelita are discussing music, a pink record of Neil Diamond Live can be seen next to Carmelita's chair. This could be a subtle joke on the fact that Neil Diamond made a song called "Carmelita's Eyes."

Strange order

The order that your rival Brenden or May sends out their Pokémon during battle is determined by which gender they are and, thus forth, is also determined by which gender the player chose for their own character before their adventure started. However, for reasons unknown, this only works if the starter the rival choose was Treecko.

Friendly reminder: Rita is OP

If the player uses Rita's Thunder Blade spell against Time Traveler/Dhaos when his health is below half during the Coliseum 200 man battle, Rita will instead perform Indignation and finish him off instantly. This references the intro of Dhaos' home game Tales of Phantasia, where said spell forced Dhaos into retreat. Rita will also be able to use Indignation freely from that point onward. This only applies to the PlayStation 3 version of the game.

Anime first

The Pokemon Audino's design was created for the Pokemon Anime first and foremost. Artist Ken Sugimori stated he wanted a Pokémon that would look good alongside the series' Nurse Joy just like Chansey did, as he knew the Anime would go the same route as Black and White, and would feature an entirely new roster of Pokemon.

In a 1996 interview with the game's director Kouji Okada published in Dengeki PlayStation magazine, he stated that the demons are voiced by the staff from Atlus, including those enlisted from all over the company rather than just the game's developers, while also singling out that the female demons were voiced by female staff members.

In 2016, an American livestreamer discovered that the boss of the Forbidden Woods, Kalle Demos, could be killed in one hit by pouring a bottle of the Forest Water found in the Forest Haven onto its exposed flower head, after a user in her chat jokingly suggested using the Forest Water to water the plant monster. While this trick was performed while playing The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, NintendoLife tested and confirmed that this secret exists in the original GameCube release.

Amazing chest ahead, origins

According to director Hidetaka Miyazaki, Gwynevere's character design was inspired by a group of female characters from the 1974 Fujiko F. Fujio one-shot manga "Yasuragi no Yakata", about a stressed CEO who is directed to a members-only club by his doctor where men are dressed in children's clothes and cared for by giant motherly women who treat the men like infants as they regress further into baby-like states. Gwynevere's extremely large breasts were added by the artist who designed her, who was reportedly so proud of his work that despite Miyazaki's standards, he did not have the heart to tell him to change the design. Miyazaki also originally wanted to include a mouth on Gwynevere's palm and created animations for it, but this element was scrapped from her design.

Frustrante come pochissime altre cose

The boss fight with Mz. Ruby is a rhythm based mini-game. In the HD Sly Collection, the music in the fight is remixed. Because of this, the music is no longer synchronized with her attacks. This make the boss fight much more difficult in comparison to the original version.

There are a few glitches that were fixed when the game was localized overseas, mostly involving pressing opposite directions simultaneously. •When using Jet Kirby and doing a semi-charged or fully-charged boost in midair, pressing up and down while flying sends Kirby flying diagonally. If Kirby bumps into a wall after a semi-charged boost while holding up and down, Kirby will bounce upwards very fast. •When using Fire Kirby while doing a running boost in midair, pressing up and down will cause Kirby to shoot down very fast, passing through floors. •When using Plasma Kirby while holding left and right and pressing up will charge Kirby's plasma beam to the maximum immediately, allowing you to fire fully-charged shots right away. •When using Yo-Yo Kirby, pressing up, down and Y in midair will cause Kirby to disappear from the screen. If this is done with a helper, the game will act as if the helper doesn't exist. •Pressing up and down on a ladder causes the game to crash, or could possibly send you to the credits of Milky Way Wishes.

In the level "Blood Bath Bay" is a poster that says "Dev & Karin wedding Aug 05". This presumably refers to Dev Madan and Karin Yamagiwa Madan, two Sucker Punch developers who got married during the creation of the game.
