Mickey Mania
In 1994, after the success of the first game, Travellers Tales was beginning development of a sequel to the game titled "Mickey Mania 2".
The game was quietly scrapped, as the team decided to focus more on developing a video game based off of the then upcoming Pixar movie Toy Story.
Only one prototype of the game exists, and it only has one level.

Some never before seen concept art for the game was released on February 13th, 2015 about 15 years after the game's original release. Some of the more interesting concepts include Jill Valentine as the protagonist instead of Claire Redfield and the Ashford family (known as the Krueger family during this point) being Nazis.

The 3rd Birthday
There is a custom outfit for Aya that makes her look like Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. When her outfit is damaged, you can see the l'Cie brand on her chest. The inclusion of the outfit in the game is likely due to the fact that both characters were voiced by the same actress in Japan, Maaya Sakamoto, who also switches to using Lightning's voice when the outfit is on.

Director David Jaffe wanted the game to have a fairy companion, similar to Navi in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The fairy would accompany Kratos, but halfway through the first level, he would have grown annoyed with the fairy and killed it. This idea was ultimately scrapped.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
In one of the sewer sections of Wall Street, there is a small gap in the NES version where a short jump must be performed in order to cross over and avoid the sewer water. In the DOS version, this same gap is now larger, and the ceiling is lower, making the game impossible. There is no way to cross over, none whatsoever. The only way to pass over is to use a password to skip the entire level.

Anna Williams' ending shows her and her sister Nina on the beach sunbathing, when 3 men try to impress them. In the Japanese release, Nina gets jealous of Anna as she revels in the attention, so she unclips Anna's bikini top and walks away with a smile. In the international release, this scene was changed to have Anna simply walk away with the men while Nina is left on her own sunbathing, due to the original scene being considered inappropriate. Similar scenes of nudity in the series include Tekken 2, where Anna's ending features a scene of her covering her breast while taking a shower, and in Tekken 5, where Anna's ending had Nina's body armor become dismantled, exposing her body.

In an early trailer for the game, there is a scene showing Riku on top of Big Ben in Neverland. This scene does not appear in the final game, nor does Riku ever go to Big Ben in any way. Despite this, it is considered canon as a cutscene in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded shows that this is where Riku and Kairi went after leaving Captain Hook's ship.

Kyūyaku contains a number of "easter eggs" and bonuses not present in the original titles. Typically many of these involve actions taken in the first game (Megami Tensei I) affecting possible side adventures and rewards in the second game (Megami Tensei II). Though possible to play the games in reverse order, these exclusive features require starting MTII from a completed MT save (after the credits roll after finishing MT, MTII immediately starts).
