Although the English version also allows Play Coins to be used in order to evolve Nemechi (rather than solely relying on StreetPasses), the Japanese version initially did not have this option. However, a Japanese patch released a few months after the international release on August 7th 2013 added this option.

Banjo-Kazooie

A poster featuring an early design of Berri from Conker's Twelve Tales can be found in Rusty Bucket Bay. This would be replaced by a poster of Conker from from the game it would be reworked into in the Xbox Live Arcade version.

In the opening cutscene, just as Crash starts to break through a window and out of Dr. Cortex's lab, Cortex's model (still in a running animation from the prior scene) can be spotted floating in the air in the far distance for a few frames before vanishing entirely.

Un po' di numeri

The game contains a total of 21 prehistoric creatures, of which 18 made it into the final game. Three are playable (Compsognathus, Velociraptor and T-Rex), 14 are enemies or bosses and 1 is only used as ambiance (Pteranodon).

Jak II

In the North American release, the cover art is reversible, with the back side featuring a map of Haven City. The front of the game's manual points this map out as a tip to players, but the Greatest Hits re-release of the game did not include this map, with the manual not being updated to reflect this change.

Test room

Multiple test rooms can be found in the games data. One of these is actually the 1st boss arena from Ninja Gaiden 2, where the player fights Rasetsu. The background tower is no longer part of the model, but the structure is mostly intact.

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete

The game's first PlayStation release came bundled with a bonus disc containing "Making of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete", a 30 minute documentary on the development and localization of the game. At any time the documentary is playing, pressing Up/Down/Left/Right/Triangle/Start will trigger a secret minigame produced by Timon Marmex Trzepacz from the game's North American publisher Working Designs. The game, titled "Lords of Lunar: Silver Star Story", is a clone of the 1980 Atari arcade game Warlords that can be played with up to 8 players through two PlayStation Multitaps.

Yoko Taro's original idea for the final boss was to have the Queen-beast take the form of J-Pop Artist, Ayumi Hamasaki, and challenge the player to a singing contest. This idea was unanimously shot down by his team.

Super Mario World

If you stare at a Boo for around 13 seconds, the Boo will make a funny face back. If you stare at a Big Boo for around 25 seconds, the Big Boo will briefly peek out from hiding in its hands to see if you are still looking.

Cameo di lusso

Vash the Stampede, the protagonist of the anime and manga series Trigun, makes a cameo appearance on a poster in Marina's bedroom. The creators of Wild Arms have cited Trigun as a direct inspiration for the setting of Wild Arms.

Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped

In the Egyptian-themed levels, there are hieroglyphs of black dogs on the wall that are speculated to represent Morgan T. Dog (now deceased), a pet mascot of Naughty Dog. N. Sane Trilogy kept this reference intact.

Sgridato

If Mei Ling is called multiple times and the player chooses "Do Not Save" each time, she'll begin to chastise Snake. On the third time, she'll say "C'mon Snake. Don't call me for no reason." On the fourth call, she'll say nothing at all. On the sixth call, she will not give the player a chance to save and will instead stick her tongue out.

Excalibur:

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

The Master Sword being a sword that would get pulled out from its pedestal by those chosen appears to be derived from the Arthurian Legend of Excalibur, also known as the "sword in the stone". Similar to how King Arthur was divinely chosen to be able to pull out Excalibur, Link was given the power by the Goddesses to pull out the Master Sword. Because of these similarities, the Master Sword was renamed to "Excalibur" in the French localizations of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Gavin Moore was originally going to voice every character in the game and you can hear his voice acting in about half of the game's trailers. However, he eventually decided to use professional voice actors after he and his producers decided that hearing his voice constantly got annoying after a while.

Fire Emblem Awakening

In Frederick's A-support with the avatar, he says the line "my body is ready (avatar's name)! The next sample, if you please!", this is a reference to the E3 2007 Wii Fit demonstration where Reggie Fils-Amié said "my body is ready".

Mistake

The European version of Um Jammer Lammy and the US version of Dino Crisis mistakenly use the Japanese version of the generic PlayStation anti-piracy screen.

Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko

In 2023, a previously undiscovered Easter egg was found in the secret level "The Abyssmal". However, while it is possible to activate this secret legitimately, the steps to do so are uncertain as to how many are really needed to activate it. In order to make it appear, Gex needs to whack all 6 pearls, whack all 7 mines in a specific order, whack every fish, whack the turret without activating it, and whack the target inside of the sunken ship. Another possible step is going inside of the ship's funnel, but it's still unknown if this is supposed to be an invisible trigger for something or if it's unnecessary for triggering the Easter egg. When all of these steps are completed, a spinning cube with pictures of three family members of the developers will appear on top of the Deep Sea Explorer. Destroying the cube will award you with a Star Token for the Vault.
