The pair have so far said nothing about the game they're building for Sony, and in an interview with Eurogamer, head of PlayStation Studios Hermen Hulst said it's still "a little while out".

But, Hulst revealed, PlayStation has been working with Deviation on this new game for over a year already.

"Obviously we're not announcing a game, but a partnership today, which means it's a little while out," Hulst said.

"But at the same time we've been working together for a while now. It's not like we signed the deal yesterday.

We've been working together for about a year, a year-and-a-half. And it's going really well. We have our guys who are actively involved in the development, that play the stuff that we're making."

"First of all, regards the studio, we're actually well over 100 people right now," Anthony said.

"Make no mistake: this game is gonna be big in scope. There's no question about it. And we're gonna need a lot more people to make that game. Deviation Games, we're growing at the pace we believe is responsible to rise to that challenge. Because the talent density in the team - there's nothing more important to Jason and I than having the right talent density and having the right culture.
 
 
Here's all Hulst would say about this new IP:

"Together we're bringing a new IP that's bold, that stands on the shoulders of what these guys have learned over their careers that speak for themselves. And that is inevitably going to lead to a new addition in the PlayStation portfolio that I'm really looking forward to sharing with you in more detail."
 
Comincio ad avere grande interesse, sembrano puntare davvero in alto con questa nuova IP. Sono già più di 100 nello studio, ma hanno detto che gli servirà "molta più gente" e continueranno ad assumere. E continuano a parlare di una nuova IP dalla grandissima ambizione :morris2:

Peccato se ne parlerà non prima del 2024 :asd:

Non riesce ad uscire un caxxo. E ciò che esce è praticamente connesso a pochi Third (SQEX, e KojiPRO). Non mi stupisce che non voli una mosca sugli eventi :asd:
 
A quanto pare, il periodo dell'anno in cui Sony stringe questi accordi è lo stesso: Q1, probabilmente a ridosso della fine dell'anno fiscale

Main points from the video:
  • 2021 was spent building the team, and pre-production
  • 2022 will be the year where full production begins (so probably looking at 2024-2025 release?)
  • They want screenshots of their game to be a situation where people know that screenshot came from their game, so sounds like they might be aiming for a unique art style
  • They want the game to have really fun core mechanics/gameplay and a great narrative/story (said a great narrative is pointless if the gameplay isn't fun)
  • "The holy grail we are looking for is the marriage between game design and story-telling, that's where you are really hitting Game of the Year, and that's what we are going forward"
