Ed ecco anche un serie di info sempre su The Lost Child

Today’s issue of Weeekly Famitsu included a spread on The Lost Child, the new game by Takeyasu Sawaki, who is well known for El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.
First of all, we learn about the struggle between angels and devils named “Tenma Conflict” (“Tenma” is constructed with the kanji for “heaven” and “demon”) In the game there are beings named “astral bodies.” Among them there are angels, fallen angels and three different tribes of devils. The angels are trying to capture the devils, and the devils are resisting that intent, causing the Tenma Conflict to spread.

In the middle, the fallen angel try to quell the conflict between angels and devils in order to restore peace in the world. The protagonist is involved in this war.

Michael is the leader of the angel faction who instructed the mysterious and beautiful Parcia to deliver the demon device Gangaur to the protagonist Hayato Ibuki. He observes the world, and his intentions are unknown.

The base of operations of the protagonist is the editorial department of the magazine “lost” for which he is a writer. Hayato will use the office to prepare before exploring the “layers” that exist between the material world and the astral world. He can receive quests by reading the memos that include details on rumors, and use the desk to save the game and organize his inventory. The editor in chief of the editorial department (depicted in the gallery) is the one tasking Hayato with investigating those mysteries.

There are four “Obeliks” in the material world, where the king of the devils collects the souls that are to be sent to the world beyond. One of them is located in the layer under Akihabara. Hayato will have to collect information and clues to locate it.

After doing his interviews, he will find the layer and the obelisk, and will have to face its protector Hasuta, a powerful snake-like devil able to control the power of the wind.

Hayato can use an attack called “Astral Burst,” that infuses a bullet with an astral body by using the demon device Gangaur delivered by Parcia. Astral bodies can be captured and controlled, becoming allies.

In order to capture the astral body, it’s necessary to hit them with an astral burst, which changes powers according to the race and attributes of the astral body infused in the bullet. After captured, the astral needs to be bound into service via “purification.”

Astral bodies that are captured and bound into service can be improved in a dedicated place. By satisfying certain conditions, it’s possible to transfer skills between different astral bodies and evolve them. Strengthening the astral bodes is an important element in improving Hayato’s battle power.

To transfer skills between astral bodies, Hayato will have to use the “spirit scale” keeping in mind the spiritual balance between the skills.

We also learn that Enoch, protagonist of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will return to the game in the form of an early purchase bonus. He will fight for Hayato as an astral body. His appearance is different because Lucifel interfered when he was forcibly summoned, causing him to lose his original form. During Hayato’s adventure this “Dark Enoch” will evolve like the other astral bodies, and will regain his original look and power.

The Lost Child is the new game by Takeyasu Sawaki, creator of the cult classic for PS3 and Xbox 360 El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron. Incidentally, fans of El Shaddai will appreciate what we’re going to see today.
There are three early purchase bonuses for the game in Japan.

The first is the Nephilim: Sally Boy Version. They’re Astrals that will fight for the game’s protagonist Hayato Ibuki, and they come directly from El Shaddai. They’re seven creatures are creatures born from the unions of humans and fallen angels. This angered God, since he forbade the contact between humans and angels.

In order to avoid the furious gaze of God, one of them named Sally Boy searched for his fellows and formed a band named “Nephilim Seven.” To this day they sing fighting against their destiny.

The second bonus is a booklet by by Takeyasu Sawaki himself, named “Mythology Directory” (tentative name). It’s a must-have item for those who want to enjoy a deeper view of the world of The Lost Child, explaining the connection with El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.

Last, but not least, we get Dark Enoch/Enoch Demon Version. He’s the legendary hero of El Shaddai. After completing his role, he was scattered around the world in 72 fragments.

He was forcefully summoned due to the interference of Lucifel, who was concerned aboutr Hayato’s fate. While he appeared in a dark and warmed form, he still says “it’s all right, it’d no problem.” By fighting alongside Hayato, he will regain his original form and power (he can evolve from his first form to a second intermediate one with no armor, and then to his final, original form). Could this be because Hayato himself might be one of Enoch’s fragments?

You can check out all the screenshots below, and you can also watch the original teaser trailer, a second gameplay trailer, and more screenshots and information explaining how Astrals will work.

Incidentally, if you want to see more from Takeyasu Sawaki, earlier today Kadokawa Games released more of his art for God Wars: Future Past.

Today Kadokawa Games released with a press release a large batch of screenshots of The Lost Child, the new game by Takeyasu Sawaki, who is well known for El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron.
First of all, we get the introduction of a batch of characters.

Samael is a fallen angel who works disguised as a human doctor. He always holds a pocket watch. Ye-Kun is also a fallen angel acting together with Samael. He has a cheerful personally and likes to hit on girls, but he’s also a steady friend. Unfortunately, he seems to be unable to remember the faces of men. Mastema studies under Samael, and is the third of this trio of fallen angels. She fell pout of grace due to her love for Samael himself, that became distorted.

Rion Danda is the owner of the “Witch’s House” Bookstore in Shinjuku, where the player can also buy and sell rare items. He always talks about business. He lacks self-awareness and speaks overly bluntly, but he loves cats.

Gagachi Awashima is the proprietress of the local public baths. She is weak to flattery and tends to forget little details. By using the public baths, the player will be able to receive buffs like increasing experience earned and HP. It’s useful before exploring a Layer. Incidentally, the artwork in the gallery also shows protagonist Hayato Ibuki and his angel companion Rua as they will appear when they enjoy the baths.

Yoshitaka-san is the manager of Pandemo Camera, a store where Hayato can have the artifacts found in the Layers appraised, find out the stats of armor and even improving his weapon. Yoshitaka-san is not exactly a friendly person, but he will help his customers who like his craft.

We also get a look at the second Obelisk, found in Minamikamiyama in Nagano prefecture. Hayato and Parcia hear about the existence of a Layer there from Ye-kun, located in an abandoned military facility from World War II. There they will have to face the firey demon Kutugua.

Lastly, we get a look at the retailer specific bonuses. Amazon Japan will get a item pack named “Light of Blessing.” GEO customers get another titled “Fruit of Wisdom.” SevenNet customers will get the “Heavenly7” pack. Sofmap is the only retailer that gets a physical bonus in the form of a B2 tapestry featuring Rua, drawn by Takeyasu Sawaki.

Of course, like most bonuses of this kind, it’s barely safe for work, and you can see it at the end of the gallery.
