Atlus ha comunciato che la data europea di Etrain Odyssey V sarà la stessa della versione USA: il 17 ottobre.

Questo però vale per la versione digitale. Ci sarà anche una versione fisica europea, ma bisognerà attendere il 3 novembre.

Qui potete vedere un video di unboxing della launch edition americana, che consiste in un artbook di 24 pagine, un cd con 6 tracce musicali e una scatolina in cartone a contenere il tutto.

In Europa invece, si troverà l'artbook in allegato con la prima tiratura del gioco. Niente cd (e scatolina) però.

Esce oggi in Europa e America Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth.

In Europa è ora disponibili solo la versione digitale. Per quella fisica bisognerà attendere qualche settimana, ma arriverà comunque il 3 novembre.

Nella primavera del 2018, Atlus annuncerà un nuovo Etrian Odyssey per 3DS.

Ha già confermato che NON si tratterà di Untold III.

Komori said that it will not be Etrian Odyssey 3 Untold, but rather a “true culmination” with “map drawing to the point that it’s unpleasant” (this was likely a joking way to say it has a lot of map drawing), and “completely unexpected content.”

Alcuni nuovi dettagli sul prossimo (e ultimo) Etrian Odyssey che uscirà su 3DS.

Ricordo che non si tratterà di Untold 3, l'hanno già detto e ribadito.

– The game will not be a numbered title nor a new series, as a festival-like project representing a culmination of the series thus far– It will be the last Etrian Odyssey game on the 3DS

– Series character designer Yuji Himukai, monster designer Masao Nagashima, sound composer Yuzo Koshiro and other familiar people from the Etrian Odyssey series are in charge of development

– Komori wanted to emphasize elements of the new game based on a criticism from Etrian Odyssey V that the quantity of events in the second half of the game was decreased

– The number of staff members involved with the game’s scenario has been increased to strengthen weak areas, along with cooperation from scenario writer Yo Hazuki (Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Devil Survivor Overclocked, etc.)

– Himukai is glad he had the opportunity to participate in this kind of project

– He says it’s like a “bonus stage” and that the character illustrations he is working on have a different approach and concept than that of the traditional series

Il 10 aprile, alle ore 5:00 italiane (mica vorrete dormire, eh?) ci sarà una diretta streaming in cui annunceranno il nuovo titolo di Etrian Odyssey.

The new Etrian Odyssey title, which was first confirmed in September 2017, is said to be a “festival-like” culmination of the series. In December 2017, series director Shigeo Komori said that it will not be Etrian Odyssey 3 Untold, but rather a “true culmination” with a lot of map drawing and “completely unexpected content.”

Etrian Odyssey V was positioned as a culmination title created under the direction of “challenging new things.” On the other hand, however, Komori felt that there were many fans who expected a direction that compiled the best parts of previous entries in the series. So, they decided to make Etrian Odyssey X as another culmination title.Lemuria, the setting of Etrian Odyssey X, is a land isolated from other continents. A sea of trees familiar to adventurers of previous Etrian Odyssey games is spread out around the Yggdrasil Tree at its center.

However, caution is necessary as knowledge of previous dungeons may backfire. Elements that will put a grin on the faces of experienced Etrian Odyssey players are also being prepared.

Etrian Odyssey X implements a world map, which Komori has wanted to do since previous Etrian Odyssey games. It is dotted with various labyrinths, and meeting specific requirements will unlock new places and cause events to occur.

The game has the largest volume of the series yet, including labyrinths that are not required to clear the game.

While having a newness not buried within existing classes, the new “Hero” class was set to be a class full of protagonistic sense. It is an all-purpose type that can easily handle attacks, defense, and even recovery.

Force Boost and Force Break systems are being introduced to better bring out the strong points of the main class.

The New “Hero” Class
Vanguard: Attack and Defense Type

A soldier who fights with a sword and shield, and never gives up even when in critical condition. In addition to many skills that assist party members, the Hero class also has strong wave attacks unseeming of a single person.

A Look at the Hero’s Force Burst, Force Break, and Representative Skills

Force Burst: Brave Heart

Drastically increases your afterimage rate of occurrence and the total attack power of your afterimages for three turns.

Force Break: Miracle Edge

Performs a close-range cut attack on all enemies, then recovers the HP of all allies beyond the maximum value.

Skill: Mirage Sword

Performs a distant cut attack on one enemy, and has a high probability of creating an afterimage.

Skill: Regiment Rave

At the end of your turn, performs a close-range cut and fire (combined attribute) attack on one enemy. (The more damage your party dealt to the target this turn, the higher the power of the Regiment Rave attack.)

The Hero Battles Using Afterimages

What is an afterimage?

By learning the passive skill “Traces,” when the Hero attacks an enemy using an attack skill, there is a fixed probability an afterimage will appear in party slot.

The turn following an afterimage’s appearance, it will attack using the attack skill that was used when it appeared, and when that turn ends, the afterimage will disappear. A characteristic of the Hero class is cooperating with both party members and afterimages. But that is not the only effect of an afterimage. There are various methods in combination with skills in terms of what you can do with the afterimages that appear.

More Adventurers Appear

More than 20 NPCs will appear in Etrian Odyssey X. What will your various encounters bring about? Today we will meet six new adventurers.

Marco (voiced by Kengo Kawanishi)

An intelligent adventurer with a sharp, observant eye. He formed a guild with Oliver. Unlike Oliver, who tends to run wild, he is the thoughtful type who moves through labyrinths with caution.

An adventurer with a well-trained body. He formed a guild with Marco. He came to Lemuria seeking its treasure. He has a lively and sportive personality.

A young man of little words who came to Lemuria as an adventurer and gives off an intense aura. He seems to worry about Charis.

A cheerful and bright woman who came to Lemuria as an adventurer. She is a tank, but her abilities still have a lot more to grow. She also seems to worry about her relationship with Rob.

A boy who came to Lemuria as an adventurer. He has a gloomy, somewhat blunt manner of speech and conduct. He explores the dangerous woodlands on his own, but there seems to be a reason related to his past for that…

A novice adventurer who you meet at the beginning of your adventure. She gets in trouble when shes goes into the forest to gather medicinal herbs, and asks for your help.
