CONTIENE SPOILER
CONTIENE SPOILER
-The dog is slightly buggy in that sometimes it lags behind you or has a hard time finding a spot to jump over a fence or stays in one location and runs in circles but that is fine because a real dog does that also. Otherwise the dog is wonderful.
-I can't find a way to command the dog to do specific dog tricks. On the expression wheel there is a selection for "dog" but that only has a few things you can do like heal the dog or praise or punish it. Perhaps when I get farther in the game an option will open up where I can tell him to do specific tricks he has learned.
-When you buy weapons it doesn't show you the stats of the current weapon you have equipped for comparison so you have to remember what they were when trying to buy better ones.
-The music and voice work are amazing.
-The graphics are G o o d [Good] however not as polished as they could have been. Specifically the water doesn't look very real at all and has either no or a very poor reflection. I also found times when I am wearing a sword or axe on my back and the graphics of the two overlap and it looks like the sword is going into my clothing.
-Each area of the game has a different and unique atmosphere which you really find yourself getting involved with.
-The NPC interaction with the player is excellent with many phrases and it is genuinely fun to start doing expressions and watching a crowd gather. BTW the bards are great and there are more bards than just the one from Bowerstone.
-The pub game glitch consequences merely make you corrupt which is what happens from ANY gold you import from the pub games. You can fix this by doing pure deeds or eating pure foods like tofu and celery (don't laugh).
-I love the food and drink system. Food and drink can heal you but also makes you more/less fat, pure, etc. So if you are corrupt you can eat "pure foods" like celery and water and tofu however if you start eating pies and cheese and meat you will tend to become fat and corrupt.
-I am somewhat disappointed at the relatively low number of clothing items and weapons. There are maybe a dozen different outfits worth of clothing you can wear.
-Although the game has been described as "free-roam" I always find rocks and short cliffs I cannot jump off or over but for the most part you can roam all over the place.
-Also regarding "free roam" there are a number of "locked" doors or gateways which prevent you from going in certain buildings or dungeons or going into a certain area of the game until you finish a specific area of the quest/quests. Early in the game I found an exit from Bowerstone which was not available to me unless I did something in the main quest. I was not in childhood at that time.
-The quests are great and very engrossing which has a lot to do with the quest itself but also the voice work and ambient sounds and music.
-PM mentioned you could buy every building however I have found a few where there isn't an obvious "buy" board near it. As I get further in the game hopefully I will figure out how to buy those items.
Overall I would give it a 8.5-9.0 out of 10.
Ok back to Fable 2, I just wanted to give my impression of the game.
