FFXV_06-23-16_001.jpg
The Titan Astral, which carries a huge rock on its back, lives quietly somewhere in the world. But the Niflheim army plots to use its military might to kill the Titan. Noctis and crew will rush into this battle between the Niflheim army and the rampaging Titan. And if the group exhibits their strength to the Titan as expected, they’ll be able to borrow its power.

FFXV_06-23-16_007.jpg

■ Battle / Shift

The Lucis royal family have an exclusive ability called “Shift” that allows them to move by warping. While this ability can be freely utilized in battle, it will consume MP.

Map Shift

During battle you can throw your weapon and instantly Shift to where it lands. Places you can Shift to are indicated with an icon, and a Shift can be performed instantly with the single press of a button. You can use Shift to take cover in high places to quickly restore HP and MP, which will prove effective when outnumbered.

FFXV_06-23-16_008.jpg

Shift Break

You can also Shift to attack enemies that you’re locked on to.

FFXV_06-23-16_009.jpg

■ Battle / Assault

You can automatically assault (attack) the enemy with the single press and hold of a button. A speedy battle will unfold as you switch between weapons in real time.

Assault

Press and hold the attack button to continue attacking.

Weapon Summon

You can set a variety of weapons in advance that will switch in and out while fighting.

D-Pad Weapon Switch

There are dozens of weapons in Final Fantasy XV. You can instantly switch between weapons based on the enemy and situation. There are also mysterious weapons that still haven’t been revealed.

Weapon Types

—One-handed Sword

Its quick movement allows you to continuously attack the enemy. The one-handed sword is an extremely easy to handle weapon made for maneuverability.

FFXV_06-23-16_010.jpg

—Great Sword

A really heavy sword. Its movement is slow due to its size, but it can mow down several enemies in a single swing and deal great damage.

FFXV_06-23-16_011.jpg

—Daggers

Wield daggers in both hands to quickly attack and damage the enemy. While daggers do less damage than other weapons, you’re lighter on your feet so you can quickly move around the enemy.

FFXV_06-23-16_012.jpg

—Spear

Damage the enemy with the long, pointed spear. The power from a Shift Break spear attack might make you think you’re a Dragoon.

FFXV_06-23-16_013.jpg

—Shield

A shield can be equipped with a one-handed sword. By equipping a shield and guarding against enemy attacks, it’s possible to break the enemy’s stance.

FFXV_06-23-16_014.jpg

—Magic

Magic attacks, like “Fire,” are treated as weapons in Final Fantasy XV. By throwing the spherical magic weapon in the direction of the enemy, its associated magic attack will be triggered.

FFXV_06-23-16_015.jpg

—Phantom Sword / Shuriken

You can equip a large, two-handed shuriken, which can be used to attack enemies at a distance. These attacks consume MP, however.

FFXV_06-23-16_016.jpg

■ Battle / Guard Mode and Dodge Roll

You can automatically guard with the single press and hold of a button.

Guard

When holding the guard button, you’ll automatically enter Guard Mode. Though you may still receive damage when defending against a strong attack.

FFXV_06-23-16_017.jpg

Evasion

If you have acquired the “Evade” ability, you’ll automatically evade attacks when in Guard Mode, which will consume MP. Additionally, if you evade the enemy’s attack with proper timing, you’ll be able to avoid the attack without consuming MP and trigger a “Just Guard.”

FFXV_06-23-16_018.jpg

Dodge Roll

With a quick press of the guard button, you can perform a dodge roll to leap away and avoid an attack.

FFXV_06-23-16_019.jpg

■ Battle / Parry

When you successfully guard against an attack, an indication to parry the attack will immediately follow. By triggering the parry with proper timing, you can perform a powerful counter attack, which could deal great damage.

FFXV_06-23-16_020.jpg

■ Battle / Link

Depending on the situation, you can perform cooperative “Link” attacks with your allies.

Link Attack

By successfully parrying an attack and performing a parry counter, a Link Attack can also be triggered. There are various conditions to trigger a Link Attack.

FFXV_06-23-16_021.jpg

Back Attack Link

When you successfully strike the enemy from behind, which deals 1.5 times the normal damage, you may be able to trigger a “Back Attack Link” with your allies to deal even greater damage.

Ultima modifica da un moderatore:
Wait mode was well received, specially by Japanese fans. The picture that was drawn of the chocobros in the Altissia trailer includes a secret.

The Regalia changes form depending on the altitude, but will remain in that form until landing.

The Regalia skin dedicated to Cidney is really popular with the US Square Enix staff.

DLC weapons include from previous titles, Gae Bolg, Blaze Edge, Masamune Katana, Mage Master.

The Lucis Suit DLC is Only for Noctis.

Tabata-san feels that, after watching Kingsglaive in full, he wants fans to really watch the movie then the game as the experience will two-fold.

Despite that, Tabata-san also mentioned that each product is standalone and he is fine with people just experiencing one.

Justice Monsters V will be released at around Gamescom

Justice Monsters V has micro-transactions and a gacha system. Golden balls are required to spin, but you can get many just by playing.

Tabata-san will not be present at Japan Expo.

Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV Episode 3 dedicated to Gladio is planned for around the time of Japan Expo, on July 7th.

Next event will be at Gamescom. Demos will be available.

Tabata-san is pretty sure that there will be a day 1 patch for Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy XV‘s final release build might be ready for Tokyo Game Show.

The footage for the DLC starts at the 32:40 mark.
