Alien: Isolation - 6
Forse il voto per Alien è un po' stretto ma lato gameplay l'ho veramente odiato, a difficile è lo stealth più severo che abbia mai giocato, e fin qui ci può anche stare, il fatto è che spesso bara spudoratamente: l'alieno si teletrasporta ogni 3x2 prendendoti ovviamente alla sprovvista, le molotov funzionano quando gli pare, la storia degli armadietti è ridicola ecc..., insomma mi è sembrato il classico gioco studiato apposta per farti saltare i nervi, probabilmente a normale me lo sarei goduto di più.
Atmosfera e ambientazione sono su alti livelli ma non bastano a risollevarlo, tra l'altro è anche fin troppo lungo, nella seconda metà diventa abbastanza ripetitivo.
Per Days gone copio il commento fatto nel topic ufficiale:
Finito, per fortuna nella parte finale si riprende abbastanza... nel complesso è un buon gioco che sa però di occasione mancata: tra i difetti sicuramente l'IA umana e la lunghezza ingiustificata, con quella parte centrale molto noiosa che poteva benissimo essere accorciata; anche la trama onestamente è abbastanza anonima, un po' ci riesce a farti affezionare ai personaggi, però si poteva fare di più da questo punto di vista.
Un'altra cosa che non mi ha convinto è la difficoltà, a normale il gioco è in generale troppo facile però contro le orde e i boss ha dei picchi di difficoltà inaspettati che ti prendono anche alla sprovvista.
Tra i pregi invece metterei sicuro le ambientazioni e gli eventi atmosferici resi molto bene, che vanno anche a compensare la scarsa varietà (che a me non è comunque pesata), il gameplay tutto sommato piacevole e le orde che sono senza dubbio la parte più riuscita del gioco, e quella che in fondo riesce a distinguerlo dagli altri giochi a tema zombie.
Bella anche la colonna sonora che mi ha ricordato un po' quella di certi film anni '90, anche se nei momenti più cinematografici hanno usato quelle canzonette folk/hipster che proprio non sopporto.
Come voto direi che un 7,5 ci può stare.

What Remains of Edith Finch veramente un bel walking simulator, breve ma intenso.
Certi gameplay di alcune storie dei componenti della famiglia sono bellissimi, ma in generale tutti lo sono.

Negli acquisti ho barato perché ho messo anche titoli che in realtà avevo ottenuto l'anno scorso con l'epocale Bundle for racial justice and equality su Itch, ma che ho scoperto solo adesso di avere. Non è nemmeno escluso che prima o poi ne scopra degli altri.
Recuperati a prezzo pieno Silent hill e Metal gear solid su PSN, rassegnato all'idea che non li sconteranno mai più. Segnalo che l'edizione scaricabile di MGS è quella italiana con il solo (imbarazzante) doppiaggio italiano, per cui consiglierei l'edizione disponibile su GOG che a quanto ho letto in teoria è leggermente inferiore, ma che perlomeno ha un doppiaggio dignitoso. Ho chiesto il recesso, non ci spero ma a questo punto non ho niente da perderci, se me lo rifiutano me ne farò una ragione. Certo è un peccato.
Capitolo giochi giocati, molto brevemente.
Resident evil è una delle opere esteticamente più compiute della storia del medium. Compiutezza che si estende anche al gameplay, un favoloso gioco esplorativo a incastri che è piacevolissimo risolvere, e che fortunatamente evita le frustrazioni che una simile formula avrebbe potuto portarsi dietro. È anche sorprendentemente longevo e, anche se nelle ultime battute si comincia a intravedere la ricorrenza di certi schemi, la qualità dell'esecuzione resta costantemente altissima per tutta la durata del gioco. Fra l'altro è abbastanza impressionante il numero di finali ottenibili, considerando quanto poco invasivi sono i bivi narrativi. Considerando anche la presenza della doppia campagna, il contenuto offerto è decisamente abbondante. Non ho amato la meccanica dell'inventario limitato, ma è difficile criticare quella che è a tutti gli effetti una meccanica integrante del sistema. L'idea dei salvataggi limitati è molto affascinante e dà un grandissimo contributo all'atmosfera del gioco, ma per quanto la apprezzi nel mio caso ha introdotto un elemento di stress per così dire extradiegetico che ha reso la mia esperienza generale meno piacevole di quanto avrei sperato. In ogni caso una pietra miliare del genere e non solo, nonché una delle operazioni di remake più pulite di sempre.
Yakuza kiwami 2 è il mio secondo approccio con la serie dopo lo 0. L'ho apprezzato di più in praticamente ogni aspetto, salvo la presenza di un solo stile di combattimento, peraltro piuttosto elementare, che sulla lunga durata tende a farsi molto ripetitivo. In generale ho trovato più piacevole anche la storia e la focalizzazione sul solo Kiryu, anche se sinceramente il finale ha una quantità di colpi di scena talmente ridicoli che me lo hanno fatto scadere abbastanza.
The last of us: Part II narrativamente per me è un mezzo buco nell'acqua, ma per quanto mi riguarda ciò non ha tolto nulla all'esperienza di gioco che è in grado di regalare. Presentazione di livello eccelso, direzione artistica sublime, meccaniche semplici ma con miriadi di possibilità di applicazione grazie ad un level design dal respiro tale da sfiorare il sandbox per la quantità di approcci offerti, ed integrate da un'intelligenza artificiale che probabilmente si pone come nuovo standard del genere. Per non parlare della longevità al di là di ogni più rosea aspettativa, per un titolo con una simile portata tecnologica e ricchezza di dettaglio. Molto apprezzabile anche la possibilità di impostare a piacimento i diversi parametri di difficoltà, nonché l'impressionante velocità di caricamento dei checkpoint. Appena finito la voglia di ricominciarlo da capo per continuare a sperimentare con le meccaniche imparate nel corso della storia è già tanta, ed è una cosa che non mi capita spesso e in particolare per titoli con una durata non trascurabile come questo.
Frog fractions in realtà non l'ho finito, ma dubito che il mio giudizio sarebbe cambiato nel giro di qualche decina di minuti. Apprezzo l'approccio e ne capisco il successo, ma personalmente dopo un po' ho perso interesse nel continuo nonsense, al punto da non portarlo a termine nonostante la brevissima durata.
