Due nuovi acquisti questo mese, Little Nghtmares e Mario 3D World Switch.
Entrambi titoli che volevo recuperare da secoli, per il primo mi sono finalmente deciso vista anche l'uscita del secondo capitolo qualche giorno fa, e per il secondo inutile dire che aspettavo questo porting su Switch da quando l'ho presa praticamente
Ho rimosso dalla lista acquisti Control Ultimate Edition, in quanto dopo l'annuncio sul Plus sono riuscito ad ottenere il rimborso da Sony e a riscattarlo "gratuitamente" tramite il servizio.
Tra i titoli terminati ci sono proprio Control (replay + espansioni che sto facendo ora), un giocone che grazie a PS5 risplende ancor di più e Destruction All Stars (terminato per modo di dire, vista la natura di GaaS)

Per gli Acquistati dalla prossima volta non metto più la piattaforma, tanto ormai compro solo su Switch.
Utilizzo lo stesso metro di giudizio anche per i titoli più piccoli e sperimentali che ho provato, anche se è chiaro che uno stesso punteggio ha un significato differente per un gioco da una mezz'ora sviluppato da una persona sola, rispetto a titoli commerciali di dimensioni più convenzionali.
Sacrifices will be made in realtà è più una demo che un gioco. È un gioco di carte non particolarmente originale, ma comunque piacevole nella sua semplicità. Curioso di sapere come verrà sviluppato.
Islands: Non-places ha un'interattività minimale per usare un eufemismo, ma ne ho apprezzato, oltre alla qualità estetica dei diversi diorami che lo compongono, il senso di sfuggente coerenza nell'insensatezza delle scene presentate. Prende giusto un'oretta, ed è di piacevole compagnia.
La mia esperienza con Night of the consumers purtroppo è stata in parte compromessa da alcuni problemi tecnici (l'impossibilità di saltare la sequenza introduttiva ad ogni nuova partita, forse qualche bug anche se non ci giurerei, soprattutto l'impossibilità di regolare la sensibilità del mouse che ho trovato troppo bassa per la reattività richiesta dal gioco) e per questo non me lo sono goduto quanto avrei voluto. Trovo però che il soggetto sia esilarante, e il gameplay loop non solo divertente, ma anche sinceramente promettente per un eventuale ulteriore sviluppo. Indubbiamente spigoloso, ma nel breve tempo che ci ho passato ha saputo conquistarmi.
Spring falls non è probabilmente il miglior puzzle che abbia mai giocato (a volte non è intuitivo prevedere le conseguenze di una determinata azione, e alcuni livelli possono essere risolti quasi per caso) ma è molto rilassante e piacevole anche solo da guardare.
Bird of passage ha un'idea di base interessante, ma non altrettanto direi dello spunto narrativo che dovrebbe sorreggerlo. Anche il sistema dei dialoghi è abbastanza approssimativo e costringe a ripetere le stesse battute più e più volte senza una chiara indicazione di cosa ci si aspetti dal giocatore. Prende comunque poco tempo ed ha un'estetica molto suggestiva per cui comunque non lo sconsiglio affatto, anzi.
The space between è un'esperienza narrativa profondamente suggestiva, graziata da una presentazione a tratti sublime se una certa estetica lo-fi è nelle vostre corde. Dura meno di un'ora, ma sa quello che vuole fare e lo fa pregevolmente.
Metal gear solid ha un gameplay indubbiamente rudimentale, ma la presentazione è semplicemente impressionante per un titolo di quasi venticinque anni fa – e non solo. Personalmente l'ho trovato sinceramente bellissimo da vedere. Sarà che l'estetica PS1 sta tornando di moda proprio di recente, ma ogni inquadratura, ogni texture o animazione trasuda una cura al dettaglio che trascende le limitazioni tecnologiche. Faccio presente che la semplicità del gameplay per me non è necessariamente un difetto, e sicuramente non in questo caso, in quanto probabilmente una maggior complessità avrebbe finito per appesantire l'esperienza e generare frustrazione in determinati frangenti. Mi ha colpito molto, e dopo aver giocato tutti gli altri capitoli principali fino a Peace walker sinceramente non me lo aspettavo. Pietra miliare del medium tutto.

Civilization VI l'ho comprato con un po' di scetticismo visto che non gioco uno strategico da non so quanto, e invece si è rivelato una graditissima sorpresa, ci ho passato su almeno una sessantina di ore senza nemmeno accorgermene.
Per Hellblade incollo il commento fatto nel topic ufficiale:
Intanto l'ho finito, alla fine nonostante i difetti posso dire che mi è piaciuto, è un gioco coraggioso che non scende a compromessi con il giocatore: mettere il gameplay al servizio della narrazione in fondo significa anche trascurarne la godibilità, per fare degli esempi, spesso il gioco ti porta ad affrontare dei veri e propri tour de force di combattimenti diventando anche frustrante a tratti, ecco in questi casi sembra voler sacrificare il divertimento per calarti ancora di più nei panni della protagonista, avvicinandoti in qualche modo ai suoi tormenti, insomma sembra quasi intenzionale la cosa; anche gli enigmi per dire sono tutti fondati su illusioni ottiche, passaggi da una dimensione all'altra ecc.. e lo scopo alla fine è lo stesso, farti immergere nella dimensione allucinata di Senua.
Ad un gameplay in fondo poco piacevole però fa da contraltare un comparto artistico veramente originale, che riesce a creare un'esperienza più unica che rara nel panorama videoludico attuale, da questo punto di vista il gioco è assolutamente riuscito e gli si possono fare veramente poche critiche, la recitazione di Senua poi è senza dubbio tra le più impressionanti viste in un videogioco.
Quindi alla fine il bilancio è positivo per quanto mi riguarda, al di la di tutto poi non si può non apprezzare il coraggio di portare un soggetto così difficile e insolito.
Va detto però che mantenere la stessa formula anche nel sequel credo che stancherebbe e non so quanti la vorrebbero, secondo me sarebbe meglio rendere il tutto più convenzionale a favore di un gameplay un po' più strutturato e vario.

Primo aggiornamento dell'anno, dopo aver finito un gioco enorme in tutti i sensi come P5R (160h) mi sono dedicato a titoli insoliti. Conto di cominciare qualcosa di serio verso fine mese.
Per quanto riguarda gli acquisti mi sono dedicato al recupero dei pochi titoli che ancora non avevo preso su ps4/nsw.
Cyberpunk invece l'ho preso giusto perché lo tiravano davvero dietro (30euro lisci), ma ovviamente lo giocherò in versione ps5.
Unico nuovo gioco che posso commentare è A mortician's tale, molto didascalico e ripetitivo pur nella sua breve durata. L'esecuzione è abbastanza mediocre ma ne apprezzo comunque l'intento e la sincerità, per cui non mi sento di bocciarlo del tutto.

L'ho giocato in ethernet, la qualità dipende dalla connessione, c'erano momenti in cui filava liscio per 1 ora/1 ora e mezza e altri in cui andava a scatti anche per qualche minuto, ho avuto una singola disconnessione.

Ok, non tanto per le cutscene che nel caso me le riguardo sul tubo se lagga troppo ma per quel "Poco" di gameplay che ha. Lo ho letteralmente giocato settimana scorsa su PS3 ma dato che la sto pensionando se dovessi rigiocarlo almeno so che posso tra PS4/5.Grazie mille!
