- Uncharted 4 l'ho finito a maggio ma ieri sono riuscito a platinarlo! Con fatica soprattutto per colpa dei trofei del multiplayer (non gioco online) e perché a giugno ho potuto giocare solo nei fine settimana. Per il trofeo speed run ho approfittato del bug o glitch, non conosco questi termini. Si poteva fare anche per la conclusione a difficoltà devastante ma me ne sono accorto dopo che l'ho concluso così.
- Lego DC Supercriminali è stato il primo gioco "lungo" che ho platinato, prima lo avevo fatto solo con gli indie. Parliamo di marzo.
Iniziati:
- God of War che in realtà ho solo scaricato, lo comincerò nel fine settimana, quello che hanno dato col Plus a maggio.
In sospeso:
- Horizon Zero Dawn, iniziato un anno e mezzo fa... raramente un titolo mi è stato così sulle palle, voglio concluderlo e cancellarlo dalla memoria! E ho preso anche la Complete Edition col DLC
- Dying Light Edizione Migliorata, un titolo stupendo ma ho un problema con gli open world, alla lunga mi stanco e li accantono. Mi manca solo la missione finale e i DLC ma mi sono bloccato nella missione nella prigione e non posso abbandonarla... ho un vecchio salvataggio ma con qualche ora in meno di gioco, dovrei rinunciare a varie bandierine e statuette trovate.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales (7.5) - Bella parentesi nel mondo dello strigo, solo un pò troppo pesante.
The Gunk (7-) - Esteticamente sublime, il resto è semplice e funzionale. Piacevole se preso per quello che è.
Unpacking (8+) - Narrativa ambientale brillante, e loop di gioco insolitamente piacevole. Per i maniaci compulsivi è una droga.
Eastward (9-) - Capolavoro di worldbuilding. Estetica e direzione artistica strepitose, dungeon e boss battle stimolanti. Pacing osceno.
Backbone (6.5) - Bellissimo da vedere, con un gusto sopraffino. Da giocare proprio no, ma la sua narrativa nichilista lo rende interessante fino alla fine.
Inscryption (9.5) - Indescrivibile. Sovversivo. Brillante. E la parte deck building è divertentissima.
Moonlighter (8-) - L'accoppiata dungeon crawler + negozio da gestire appassiona e dura il giusto per non venire a noia. Pixel art e OST deliziose.
Yakuza Like a Dragon (8-) - La nuova struttura Jrpg diverte ma non convince, Ichiban bel personaggio ma la trama esplode solo nel finale.
Hyper Lighter Drifter (8+) - Pixel art favolosa, gameplay fulmineo e mondo di gioco denso di segreti. Spesso parte l'embolo.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (8.5)- Degna conclusione della Kiryu saga, con i soliti assurdi plot twist. Onomichi è fascinosa, ed è teatro di una storia umana ed appassionante.
Sifu (9+)- Il nuovo Re dei beat 'em up, una visione superba del concetto di disciplina che sta alla base delle arti marziali. Tutti possono finirlo, basta dare la cera, togliere la cera.
Gran Turismo 7 (9) - Alcune lacune croniche, ma quello che fa lo fa con un' eccellenza assoluta, il paradiso dell'automotive e dei fan del Kaz.
Elden Ring (10-) - Sono a quasi 80h, non l'ho finito perchè me lo voglio gustare nel resto della mia vita. Non si torna più indietro negli OW.
Tunic (8+) - Avventura splendida, il focus sul manuale di gioco è un colpo al cuore. Comparto artistico di pregio.
Minchia, non credo di aver mai incrociato utenti con gusti tanto lontani dai miei! La maggior parte neanche li conosco!
FFVII remake ho giocato solo la demo, per la paraculata del dividerlo in episodi, se lo possono pure dare in faccia.
DMCV idem, solo demo e forse un giorno lo prenderò ma prima voglio recuperare i precedenti per PS4 (ho giocato solo ai primi due per PS2).
Windjammers 2, da anziano videogiocatore, prima o poi lo recupero!

menzione d'onore per disc room che mi ha intrattenuto per una quindicina d'ore tra la normal e la hard mode,

menzione d'onore per disc room che mi ha intrattenuto per una quindicina d'ore tra la normal e la hard mode,

il buon iaCCHe mi pare lo avesse preso e ne fosse partcolarmente entusiasta
E ne verrai ripagato appieno. Tutto il contesto del gioco è bellissimo e imparare i trucchi con le carte per non finire ammazzato (che poi son qte ma non è solo memoria) appagante.
Dura un 5/6 orette facendo tutto credo, meno di 10, ma son molto ma molto ben spese.

E ne verrai ripagato appieno. Tutto il contesto del gioco è bellissimo e imparare i trucchi con le carte per non finire ammazzato (che poi son qte ma non è solo memoria) appagante.
Dura un 5/6 orette facendo tutto credo, meno di 10, ma son molto ma molto ben spese.
Finito il gioco di gran lunga più "anziano" nel mio backlog. Comprato addirittura nel 2017 ingolosito da un mega scontone del 80% o giù di li, ma giocato solo ora perchè il mio vecchio PC non ce la faceva a farlo girare. Con Deux Ex Manking Divided ho completato il mio backlog di Steam. Un'impresa che fino a qualche anno fa sembrava titanica
Ho appena finito Deux Ex Manking Divided con tutte le sue espansioni. Devo dire che concordo con l'opinione generale sul gioco. E' una spanna sotto il suo predecessore. Le meccaniche, come lecito aspettarsi, sono un (leggero) miglioramento rispetto ad HR, ma le location sono meno affascinanti e soprattutto la trama è molto meno ambiziosa. Volevo scrivere un parere sul titolo, ma è venuto fuori un mega-papiro Dopo le 140 ore di gioco che mi segna Steam, me ne sono venute in mente tante di cose da scrivere
Il gioco parte subito con una nota di tristezza: nella schermata iniziale compare un messaggio che ti dice che l'app Deux Ex Universe è stata dismessa e quindi i contenuti esclusivi sbloccabili con la sinergia app-gioco bisogna andare a vederseli su youtube... Insomma, il gioco ti accoglie con i cocci di quello che doveva essere il franchise multi-mediatico di deus ex e che adesso, dopo il suo fallimento, si è rivelato per quello che era: un passo più lungo della gamba che ha mandato in ibernazione la saga fino a data da destinarsi.
Questa velleità di creare un universo multi-mediale si traduce in un'eccessiva tirchiaggine nello svelare avvenimenti e pezzi di lore all'interno del gioco. Ad esempio, in più punti del gioco si accenna in modo super vago ai fatti avvenuti nel lasso di tempo tra HR e MD, ma non vengono mai narrati in modo chiaro, nemmeno nei contenuti extra. Per sapere cosa è successo, bisogna comprare il libro Deus Ex Black Light. Questo risulta particolarmente irritante, perchè da una sensazione di incompletezza alla trama del gioco. Ed a proposito di trama principale: quella di MD ha il sapore di un filler, concentrata al 90% sulle indagini sull'attentato alla stazione di Praga, come in una puntata di un poliziesco. La storia del mondo deus ex, poi nemmeno fa grossi passi avanti, l'unico sviluppo è l'apartheid tra potenziati e naturali, ma questo si vedeva già dai trailer, anzi addirittura dal titolo del gioco. Probabilmente Eidos non voleva sprecare troppe cartucce di lore in MD, ma voleva conservarne un bel po per il sequel o per altri libri o giochi per cellulare. Le ambizioni più ridotte della narrativa si traducono anche in un cattivo meno memorabile rispetto agli altri capitoli.
Si tratta di un semplice mercenario, le cui intenzioni poi non sono nemmeno cosi approfondite. Non si capisce se è un sincero combattente pro-potenziati manipolato dagli Illimunati o se è semplicemente un mercenario infiltrato nell'ARC. L'unico aspetto che lo rende memorabile è extra-videoludico, ovvero che si tratta di un ucraino che in gioventù è stato coinvolto nella guerra civile tra filorussi e nazionalisti. Una coincidenza pazzesca per chi come me ha giocato MD nel 2022 in piena invasione russa dell'Ucraina.
Riguardo il gameplay, si tratta di un more of the same di HR, con qualche aggiunta sfiziosa tipo i potenziamenti sperimentali. Il che non è assolutamente un male, anzi. Come gli altri capitoli della serie, offre vari approcci per affrontare il gioco. Io ho scelto quello ossessivo-compulsivo da completista, ovvero puntare a completare tutte le side-quests, collezionare tutti gli ebooks, software breach e praxis sparsi in giro e massimizzare il guadagno di esperienza. Quindi in sostanza spolpare più contenuti possibili del gioco. Questo si è tradotto in: approccio stealth, focus sul hacking, esplorazione di ogni angolo sperduto del mondo di gioco, un tempo incalcolabile dedicato alla lettura di mail, palmari e qualsiasi testo presente nel gioco ed un abuso smisurato del vero super-potere di Jensen, ovvero il save spam. Col senno di poi, questo modo di giocare forse non è proprio il migliore per affrontare un titolo dispersivo come MD. Praga rispetto a Detroit ed Hengsha è più grande e più densa. Dopo il prologo, quando ho potuto iniziare ad esplorare la città, ho speso decine di ore a depredare appartamenti, magazzini e cubicoli vari, il gioco si è trasformato in un "topo d'appartamenti simulator". E spesso il loot non è stato proprio soddifacente, specialmente se si opta per un approccio stealh. Tutta la mole di armi letali che si trovano, conviene venderla o stasharla nell'appartamento di Jensen a muffire. Il godimento del titolo nel mio caso è aumentato di molto durante le missioni, in cui gli ambienti sono meno dispersivi e c'è più focus sull'azione e sulle strategie per eludere guardie e misure di sicurezza.
Le location del gioco le ho trovate meno ispirate rispetto ad HR, ma comunque fanno la loro figura. Come nel predecessore, anche qui si sente che sono "vive", grazie ai dialoghi degli NPC e al materiale che si legge in mail e palmari. Ad esempio a Praga si respira forte il senso di oppressione verso i potenziati.
La parte migliore del titolo poi sono di gran lunga le side-quests, ne sono una decina, e tutte ben sviluppate. Quasi tutte hanno storie anche più interessanti rispetto alla trama principale e nessuna di loro è una mera fetch quest. Si tratta di missioni con vari sotto obiettivi che portano alla luce aspetti oscuri della città di Praga (spacciatori, serial-killer, sette occulte, giornali clandestini, ecc...) e spesso costringono il giocatore a delle scelte che influiscono sullo svolgimento della missione.
Per quanto riguarda i DLC/Extra:
Desperate Measures sembra ne più ne meno che contenuto tagliato dal gioco base. Si svolge nel mezzo dell'indagine sull'attentato alla stazione ed il "cattivo" non è niente meno che un anonimo ufficiale della Tarvos...
System Rift invece è molto bellino. La location in cui si svolge è una parte molto suggestiva della Praga di MD e finalmente ci fa ammirare le famose Lame della Palisade Bank, che "hanno trasformato la skyline di Praga" secondo la lore del gioco, ma che nel titolo principale non ci è dato vedere. Il gameplay ha un maggiore focus sull'hacking e sull'affrontare trappole e nemici meccanici. Anche la trama è carina, introduce un personaggio interessante come ShadowChild ed è un ottimo prologo per la modalità Breach.
Modalità Breach che a parte un po di spaesamento iniziale si è rivelata una piccola perla, affossata però in parte dalle meccaniche free-to-play inserite a forza nel titolo. Essendo divisa in piccoli livelli, offre ancora più libertà rispetto al gioco base. Non c'è bisogno di focalizzarsi su un solo tipo di approccio per tutto il gioco, ma si può scegliere di affrontare i livelli in modo stealth, aggressivo o facendo un mix di entrambi. Nel mio caso non ho disdegnato l'uso di armi letali, che per tutto il gioco base ho trascurato. La lore, che poi è il nettare della saga deus ex, qui viene dispensata tramite missioni in cui bisogna estrarre i segreti sporchi delle grandi multinazionali. E l'interazione con gli altri NPC è gestita tramite chat simil-skype, un modo economico e geniale da parte di Eidos di sviluppare le trame delle missioni. Purtroppo come si diceva, ci sono alcune meccaniche che rendono frustrante il gioco specialmente nelle fasi finali. Non si possono comprare strumenti base tipo biocelle o kit salute, perchè questi si trovano solo acquistando loot box, cosi come le armi. Già contro i primi boss, le armi comuni si rivelano degli sparapiselli in grado di fare soltanto il solletico. Le armi più potenti si trovano solo nei loot box più costosi, da comprare farmando denaro in-game oppure con soldi veri. Per fortuna avevo collezionato tutti i softawere breach nel gioco base, che mi hanno fatto sbloccare alcuni loot box avanzati ed in uno di questi c'era un revolver classe S che mi ha spianato la strada per gran parte del gioco. Salvo poi arrivare alle fasi finali, in cui anche il mio revolver ha iniziato a fare danni ridicoli agli avversari. A quel punto la libertà di approccio va a farsi benedire e bisogna tornare di prepotenza allo stealth e usare principalmente atterramenti o hacking per i nemici meccanici. Alla fine ho tirato a chiudere gli ultimi darknet files ed ho abbandonato breach senza puntare all'impossibile 100%
Criminal Past: altro ottimo DLC. Il super-carcere come location non è niente male e anche la trama nelle fasi iniziali sembra promettere molto. La particolarità di questo DLC è che (specialmente nelle fasi iniziali) si ha a che fare con una maggiore ristrettezza di risorse rispetto agli altri contenuti, sia dal punto di vista dei potenziamenti che di di armi e strumenti. Anche un multi-tool può rivelarsi prezioso. Il finale è un po meh, ma il DLC rimane tutto sommato solido.
Insomma, tirando le somme, Mankind Divided è un ottimo titolo, molto soddisfacente dal punto di vista del gameplay, anche se potrebbe risultare troppo dispersivo per chi opta per un approccio da esploratore/completista. Purtroppo la mancata volontà di far fare un deciso passo avanti alla storia della serie ha tarpato le ali al titolo, che a questo punto ha il sapore di un filler. I punti forti del gioco sono le sue side quests e due DLC su tre. La modalità breach invece può rappresentare un ottimo passatempo o un'esperienza frustrante a seconda dei loot box che si ottengono.

- Trine: Ultimate Collection. In verità avevo ordinato Until Dawn al GS ma a casa mi hanno mandato edizione Hits (le odio, se le possono ficcare pure...) e ho cambiato con questo, aggiungendo 8 euro. Ho adorato i primi 2 su PS3 e non potevo non mettere in lista questa collection su disco.
Finiti:
- God of War. Tre settimane di ferie dedicate solo a 'sto gioco... ma è l'unico difetto degno di nota. 36 ore e devo ancora fare la metà delle missioni secondarie e tutte le Valchirie. Mi ci vorrà un'altra settimana intera ma lo alternerò con altro. Platino rimandato a settembre.
