Best yet to come with GTA 5 multiplayer
Back towards the end of March we reported on how GTA 5 will be able to integrate with Max Payne 3, and it seems that the best is yet to come concerning the multiplayer aspect of Grand Theft Auto V because Rockstar has been detailing how these crews will work within both games.
We knew that Rockstar were going to do something special and learning that you will be able to integrate multiplayer crews consisting of thousands of people is a prospect that fans will be eager to try out for themselves. This will mean that both public and private groups will be able to fight it out in a more believable arena, and what makes it even better is the fact that this can be done in both games.
Looking over an article here there will be two types of crews, these are private and Rockstar-created crews. The former will allow you and your friends to create and to customize your crews to your own personal taste and will consist of up to 250 member, while the latter is open to all and the numbers will be unlimited.
That’s not the only good news here, fans will also have the opportunity to grab themselves some in-game bonuses, such as HUD identifiers, dedicated crew assist-style awards, customizable emblems and much more. However, the one that appeals to us the most has to be the Crew feud mechanic, as this will create feuds automatically between the crews, which is certain to spice things up a little.
This does show that Rockstar is now starting to think out of the box and trying to ensure that fans of both Max Payne 3 and GTA 5 will want to buy both games in order to get the most from each other – what a great way to increase sales of both games.
While there is no guarantee that GTA V will make an appearance during E3 2012, there’s no reason not to believe that it would not. However, if it does then there’s a fear that any news regarding this game during the event could upstage other games that will be showcased – although we are uncertain if the 20 games Sony said they plan to share with us next month will be affected?
