Hi Score Girl Anime Casts Kōhei Amasaki, Sayumi Suzushiro, Yūki Hirose

The July issue of Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan magazine revealed three main cast members for the anime adaptation of Rensuke Oshikiri's Hi Score Girl manga on Friday. Kōhei Amasaki will play Haruo Yaguchi, Sayumi Suzushiro will play Akira Ōno, and Yūki Hirose will play Koharu Hidaka.

Hi Score Girl Anime Reveals 11 More Cast Members, New Visual, July 13 Premiere

The show will premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 13 at 24:30 (effectively on July 14 at 12:30 a.m.), before airing later that evening on MBS.

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rensuke Oshikiri's Hi Score Girl manga revealed two more cast members on Saturday. Yūichi Nakamura will play Numata-sensei, and Hiroki Yasumoto will play Guile-san.

Etsuko Yakushimaru Performs Hi-Score Girl TV Anime's Ending Theme Song

Singer Etsuko Yakushimaru is contributing her song "Hōkago Distraction" (Afterschool Distraction) as the ending theme song for the television anime of Rensuke Oshikiri's Hi Score Girl manga. The song also features Yakushimaru's close friend Seiichi Nagai from the band Sōtaisei Riron, and Matoki Yamaguchi. The song's single will go on sale on both CD and seven-inch analog vinyl record on August 22, Oshikiri is drawing the artwork for the single's cover jacket.

Hi Score Girl Gets 3 OVA Episodes

The 12th episode of the anime adaptation of Rensuke Oshikiri's Hi Score Girl manga announced on Friday that the anime will get a three more episodes. These episodes 13-15 will debut in March 2019 as original video anime (OVAs) and via streaming on Netflix.

Warner Bros. anime streamed a teaser that ends with the line, "Everything is for the sake of someone important to me."

Hi Score Girl Anime Gets 2nd Season in October

The official website for the anime of Rensuke Oshikiri's Hi Score Girl manga announced on Thursday that production on a second season titled Hi Score Girl II has been green-lit for an October television premiere. The announcement was first made earlier in the day at the "Hi Score Girl Round 13-15 Screening & Cast Talk Show" in Tokyo. The site is streaming an English-subtitled video.

The visual above emulates the Akira Yasuda's (Akiman) famous brochure art for the Street Fighter II: The World Warrior game.

The staff of the previous season will return, but Yūya Hatano is replacing Eri Sekido as character modeling director. The cast is also returning from both the first season and the original video anime.

The promotional video teases the return of the love triangle as the story heads towards "the final fight in both love and games." The video also features the new opening theme song "flash" by sora tob sakana.
