Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Anime's BD/DVD Volumes Delayed

The official website for the television anime of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga announced on Friday that the staff has delayed the anime's four Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes due to "production circumstances." The new release dates for the volumes are now as follows:
Volume 1: September 12 (originally July 25)

Volume 2: October 10 (originally August 29)

Volume 3: November 14 (originally September 26)

Volume 4: December 12 (originally October 24)

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Live-Action Film Casts Mitsuki Takahata, Kento Yamazaki

The staff of the live-action film adaptation of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku(Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga announced that Mitsuki Takahata (Napping Princess' Kokone Morikawa) and Kento Yamazaki (live-action Death Note series' L) are starring in the film as Narumi and Hirotaka, respectively. The film will mark the two actors' first time as costars.

Filming will take place between October and November, and the film will open in 2019. Yūichi Fukuda (live-action Gintama) is directing the film.

7th Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Manga Volume Bundles Anime BD in March

Ichijinsha revealed on Tuesday that Fujita's seventh Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku(Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga volume will have a special edition that will bundle an anime Blu-ray Disc. The new anime will center on Kabakura and Hanako's high school days and will be about 20 minutes long. Ichijinsha revealed the below rough illustration drawn by Takahiro Yasuda, the character designer for the television anime. The completed illustration will appear as the jacket illustration for the volume.

Eromanga Sensei OVA Reveals Details, January 16 Release

Aniplex revealed the details of the Eromanga Sensei original video anime (OVA) on Wednesday. The OVA's two episodes will be titled "Yamada Elf no Love Song" (Elf Yamada's Love Song) and "Izumi Sagiri no First Kiss" (Sagiri Izumi's First Kiss), and they will run for a total of about 48 minutes. Aniplex began streaming the second promotional video and 15- and 30-second versions of the third commercial for the Eromanga Sensei original video anime (OVA) on Wednesday. The videos preview the second episode, "Izumi Sagiri no First Kiss" (Sagiri Izumi's First Kiss), and features the songs "adrenaline!!!" by TrySail and "Hitorigoto" by ClariS. (Note: the official videos streaming on Aniplex's YouTubechannel are region-locked to Japan.)







The two-episode OVA will run for a total of about 48 minutes and ship on January 16. The title of the first episode is "Yamada Elf no Love Song" (Elf Yamada's Love Song). The OVA was originally slated for release in 2018.

Wotakoi Anime's New Episode Previewed in Video

Ichijinsha began streaming a new video on Saturday that previews the new anime episode that will ship on Blu-ray Disc with the limited edition version of the seventh volume of Fujita's seventh Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga.

In the 14-minute video below, the anime clips play from 3:15-4:10 and 6:00-6:15.



The new anime will center on Kabakura and Hanako's high school days and will be about 20 minutes long. The volume will ship on March 29.
