The official website for the television anime of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga announced on Friday that the staff has delayed the anime's four Blu-ray Disc and DVD volumes due to "production circumstances." The new release dates for the volumes are now as follows:
Volume 1: September 12 (originally July 25)
Volume 2: October 10 (originally August 29)
Volume 3: November 14 (originally September 26)
Volume 4: December 12 (originally October 24)
The staff of the live-action film adaptation of Fujita's Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku(Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga announced that Mitsuki Takahata (Napping Princess' Kokone Morikawa) and Kento Yamazaki (live-action Death Note series' L) are starring in the film as Narumi and Hirotaka, respectively. The film will mark the two actors' first time as costars.
Filming will take place between October and November, and the film will open in 2019. Yūichi Fukuda (live-action Gintama) is directing the film.
Ichijinsha revealed on Tuesday that Fujita's seventh Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku(Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga volume will have a special edition that will bundle an anime Blu-ray Disc. The new anime will center on Kabakura and Hanako's high school days and will be about 20 minutes long. Ichijinsha revealed the below rough illustration drawn by Takahiro Yasuda, the character designer for the television anime. The completed illustration will appear as the jacket illustration for the volume.

The OVA's two episodes will be titled "Yamada Elf no Love Song" (Elf Yamada's Love Song) and "Izumi Sagiri no First Kiss" (Sagiri Izumi's First Kiss), and they will run for a total of about 48 minutes. In the 14-minute video below, the anime clips play from 3:15-4:10 and 6:00-6:15.
