DOOM 3 with Vulgars (1.0) (NESUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

Mod Features:

- vulgars only replace imps that spawn/teleport into the map

- when an imp spawns/teleports, there is a 75% random chance it will be replaced with a vulgar

- vulgar placement will be different each time a map is played

- includes all vulgar effects, sounds, skins, ai and animations from D3:RoE

- works with any D3 map

Known Bugs:

- when an imp is replaced by a vulgar, you may hear the imp's death cry

Additional:

- this mod should not conflict much with other basic mods

- as far as i know, D3:RoE is not required for this mod to work

- the only real work i did was scripting, the rest is from id and nerve

Description:

Description:

This submission is based on two successful mods i.e. DOOM 3: Reloaded by TheVoodoo and Trent Reznor's Sound Pack. Unlike them, it heavily concentrates on the gameplay aspect of the game reviewing most weapons stats and visual effects. Some monster classes are also adjusted thereby making them more challenging to fight.

The list of changes is impressive and - btw - this the first time this mod is featured on DOOM3Files

GHOB's Combo Mod (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

What's in the MOD:

- All none melee weapons have been modified so that the muzzleflashes now emit more light than before. This basically lights up the room as long as you are firing your weapon.

- The hand grenade has been modified so that it no longer acts like a rubber ball. When you throw it, it bounces once and stays still before exploding.

- Nothing else has been changed in terms of weapon power or ammo count and the such.

- For those interested in Coop, I tried to come up with the next best thing, until the SDK comes out. You can summon a special sentry that will follow you around the game defending you. This sentry is based on the MOD released by Michael Knight (UAC Sentry Robot Mod) as

well as information I got from a post by PDQ 7779473 on http://www.forumplanet.com. The key difference between mine and Michael Knight's is that mine doesn't affect all the sentries you see in the game. It also does not cause problems with saves and quicksaves. You can summon the sentry by doing the following:

(1) Bring down the console by pressing Ctrl+Alt+~

(2) type the following in the console:

Bind "x" "spawn char_guardsentry"

Where x can be any key. From this point on, as soon as you press the x button, a guard sentry will appear in front of you, ready to defend you till death.

InstaOwn Mod (V1.0) (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

Playing Doom3 made my life feel empty, incomplete even. There was a void in my gaming experience. One that can only be filled with Instagib.

So I give you, InstaOwn, the instagib mod for Doom3. Things changed:

*Flashlight and hands do twice damage. Punches can steal weapons normally, so this is an incredible effective feature now instead of worthless

*Pistol instakills, and has the rate of fire of a shotgun, and a higher kickback to compensate for the extreme badassary of the weapon.

*Faster run/walk.

Super-Doom 3 Mod (V0.4a) (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

This mod does the following changes to Doom 3:

-Working ThirdPerson View: Press "Z"

Using this keys for move Camera (GREAT FOR SCREENSHOTS!!!):

"U"= Up

"J"= Down

"H"= Left

"K"= Right

"N"= x+

"M"= x-

-Working thirdPerson View with AIM Scope: Press "X". This has two bugs in the camera. But Works.

-Increased dynamic lighting for muzzleflashes for all weapons. (Lights up about 10 ft.)

-Restricted gibbing to only the Shotgun, RL, Plas Rifle, BFG, and Chainsaw.

-All melee zombies (Not demons or commando zombies.) come back to life after a short period of time unless gibbed. (Which means to keep them dead after shooting them you have to pull out the chainsaw and dismember them. )

-Doubled the refire rate for the pistol and machine gun. (Didn't double the ammo pickup for them so use short bursts with the machine gun.)

-Increased the clip size for the Chaingun from 60 to 120. (60 just didn't seem to justify a "chain")

-Increased the kickback of the shotgun by 5x. The enemies now fly back about 10ft when killed with it.

-Increased the shotgun damage slightly.

-Halved the bounciness of the grenades so they don't act like a "superfunball."

-Added a blue aura eminating from the Plasma Rifle extending about 5ft.

-BFG explosion now has dynamic lighting that would brighten up a warehouse as it should. (Before it didn't brighten at all.)

-Flashlight for Pistol, Shotgun, Machinegun and Chaingun.

-New sounds more realistic for Pistol, Showgun, Machinegun.

-Remove the BEEP from Multiplayer Games.

-A new SentryBot for help player, for call him press "E"

-Preliminary version of COOP (not the official COOP!)

-New AI for a few commando zombies.

-Now you can see the bullets but is too fast!.

Description:

This is a group of very neat mods I have seen and played all bundled into one tight little package, which includes some modifications of my own!

Features:

- Changes Weapon, demon, and main menu skins and sounds

- The bullet shells will stay

- Demon bodies do not gib(meaning they dont burn away) for a ver long time

- The enemies are a bit more aggresive and will attack each other if one hits another

- The chaingun now has a neat effect when you run out of ammo and you still hold down the trigger

- Includes a modified version of my Uber-Shottie mod, cause I know you all loved it...

- And just for the hell of it I changed the pistol into a magum, making it more powerful, but smaller clip size

DOOM: True Survival (1.0) (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

While I (like many others) enjoyed Doom3 immensely, I felt that something wasn't quite "right" in the gameplay experience. Too often I was passing up armor and ammunition because I was already loaded down with enough ordinance to give Satan himself a nasty flesh wound. As a fan of "survival horror" games, I've loved the tension of dwindling ammo stores, making every shot count because I wasn't sure if I'd have enough bullets to face the next unholy creature that craved my flesh.

That's the atmosphere that this Mod seeks to create. In effect, it looks to create a "Nightmare"-like experience without the rather cheesy trick id Software resorted to. The weapons are a bit more fairly balanced (no more riding the shotgun for all it's worth); the monsters are tougher and require more careful aiming to take down easily; and available ammunition is reduced- carelessly blasting away at enemies will, more often than not, leave you with less ammunition than demons to fire it at.

This time, you're not a walking armory. This time, every opponent is dangerous. Hell itself waits to see if you are a true survivor.

Graphical Tweaks: PAG 1

A taste of Rsjrv99's upcoming skin pack



Description:

What is this Mod:

This mod changes the Bumpmaps of the soulcube, Cyberdemon and the pinkydemon to be more detailed.

It makes the edges much sharper and increses the height differences.

Mod qualitiy:

The new bumpmaps realy look very good and much more detailed than the original Doom3 bumpmaps.

Summary:

Well worth the download! Definately worth the wait for the full pack, that will hopefully include all models, monster, items, ect.

Realy high quality modwork. Keep it coming!

Suggestions:

I would suggest you change the name of the pk4 file to something more individual, so you don't need to rename it!

Classic Colors Skin Pack (1.2)



Description:

This is an update to the Classic Colors Skin Pack which I didn't review and so am not totally sure what has changed in this one - the readme isn't clear on it!I like the idea here; bringing back some classic Doom can never hurt and they do look good, particularly the flying heads looking like skulls now. The pinky however I think has now took on the cute look which, while I thought that about him when I played it through originally, I'm definately at the "I want one" stage now.

Overall a good skin mod that will make the classic Doom veterans happy!

Description:

If you would like to make Doom 3 graphics look even more striking, then you will probably want to give a try to this mod.

By using modified height maps and specular maps, this graphical mod/tweak brings greater sharpness and detail to Doom3. The difference looks fantastic and does not seem to have an effect on performance.

Parallax Mapping Mod v1.0



Description:

Parallax Mapping Mod enhances Doom3's graphics engine by applying parallax mapping to all textures. Parallax mapping, also known as virtual displacement mapping, is a recent graphical technology that gives surfaces more depth and realism. Using a heavily modified

vertex and pixel shader and a mix of custom and simulated height maps, this mod makes surfaces look more three-dimensional by offsetting bumps depending on your view. Although you may not see an obvious difference right away, look closely at surfaces and you will see an improvement compared to original Doom3. Most bumps will look like they're actually sticking out. This mod also works in user-made levels that have custom textures, and a tutorial is included to describe how to add optional height maps to your level for a true parallax effect.

Plasmagun Radar (1.0)



Description:

This mod is pretty creative: it adds a radar to the plasma gun! It can detect any Doom 3 creatures that falls within its range and uses an effect "a la Alien" to manifest their presence. The readme file even includes a story outline for it.

Supporting the author will encourage him to develop new versions of this mod and I think it deserves it, so say your thoughts about it!

RealWounds for BattleReady (1.3 & Up)



Description:

These new wound decals have been taken DIRECTLY from real gunshot wounds.

I did this because of the number of people who wanted realistic REALISTIC wounds.

Several things should be noted however:

1. There is no code in the game to have different entry and exit wounds,

so I cannot mod both into the game. I need an SDK to do this.

2. Exit wounds are a lot bloodier and cool looking than entry wounds,

which is why I chose them in the first place.

This expansion pk4 IS NOT FINISHED. I simply want feedback as to if I am going in

the right direction or not. A big problem that is noticable right away is the resolution

the gunshot wounds. I am working on solving this. All the wound decals are the same

resolution as the default wounds textures for the game, so this problem does not seem to

have a reason.

It should also be noted that this is a side project kinda gig. These 'realistic' wounds

are totally second to the completion of the new hud and BattleReady v1.5. I do hope to

include the finished realistic wounds in BR 1.5. I just wana know what you dudes think.

Description:

This is a simple mod that makes the weapons' shells stay on the ground for a very long time (I'm not sure how long, I haven't waited long enough to watch them disappear).

I made this mod because there's one thing that's always disappointed me about first person shooters, the shells disappear. Sure, in old games like Half-Life, this helped to reduce the strain on the player's PC, but in modern games like Doom III, why is it necessary? My old ATI 9600SE can run Doom III fine, even with this mod on. Yes, there's other mods out there that increase the shell disappear time, but they often brought along a lot of extra things that personally, I didn't want (such as the super zombies in BattleReady). Thus, I present to you, ShellStay!

Enhanced Doom 3 (V0.1a) (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

When Doom 3 was released, many people were disappointed because weapons lack that oomph! sound, bodies gibbed, physics not being shown properly etc. This mod aims to change what id has failed to do so. However, bear in mind that there will not be any changes made to the original gameplay that id has intended for players. Remember, this game isn't for the faint hearted. If you're looking for mods that adds flashlights to weapons, or increases clip size or rate of fire, then this isn't the mod for you. This mod basically improves on the game's technicalities.

Unzip edoom01a.zip into the Doom 3 folder. For example, if during Setup, I chose to install Doom 3 in Coom3, then that would be my main Doom 3 folder. To check if it is successful, you should see a folder called Enhanced Doom 3 in your Doom 3 folder. To get it to work, start up Doom 3 and go to Mods at the bottom of the screen, then select Enhanced Doom 3.

When you save a game in Enhanced Doom 3 in the original Doom 3 itself. To fix this problem, simply move the files in the "savegames" folder in Enhanced Doom 3 into the basesavegames directory.

Description:

This mod adds a new weapon. And what a funky weapon: A can shooter! Hitting a rotting and poor zombie which can't even walk properly with hundreds of cans at an unimaginable strength and rate of fire is simply hilarious! The only negative thing about the mod is that there isn't any new textures or models, just the ones from the plasma rifle are used. Maybe in a new version. One of the funniest aspects of this mod is that whoever is hit by this mighty can shooter is kicked back real hard! "Beware, you hellish beings!" Recommended!

It basically gives the pistol a shining silver effect, which gives the game an extra stylish feel. If you like to please your eyes, then this mod is for you. It's fun to kill a zombie with a shining and stylish weapon! Too bad only the pistol is modified.

Damo Weapons Mod



Description:

This mod changes the behavior of some of the game's weapons.

- Pistol: damage to 40, bullet tracer, semi-automatic pistol, clip size to 7

- Shotgun: spread to 8, buttet projectile to 30, half the damage

To be honest I don't know how many people will actually notice the differences unless you look for them after you shoot something but the detail is there and it's certainly noticeable. One thing I did notice however was the sounds for the pistol, they're definately different and I think I prefer them.

Anyhow, weapon holes and a few weapon sounds if you want to try something new!

Description:

Under the crazy presumption that a roll of duct tape has to exist somewhere on the Mars facility, the Duct Tape mod sticks

flashlights to your machinegun and shotgun. In order to preserve the atmosphere, these new lights are much narrower (and a little brighter) than the standard flashlight, and are only available on the basic weapons. The pistol is not equipped with a flashlight, so as to not spoil the early sections of the game.

Description:

This SP mod modifies the machine gun so that it behaves like an automatic shotgun. Edogy has supplied new sounds as well as a new skin for it. The goal being to make the default machine gun more fun to use while keeping it balanced.

I have tested it and I admit that I prefer using this new machine gun: it sounds and looks great!

Fireball Fists



Description:

This is a mod that changes your fists to fireball launchers like the hellnight's, except much stronger. They can put down most baddies with one "orb." It kind of de-balances the game, and if you shoot more than one or two, you may experience some lag due to tyhe fact that it creates realtime lighting, (see screenshot) and the smoke trail makes it hard to see when you lob off mutliple shots. (not that you need to.) Origional and fun to play, I reccomend a download to people that have played the game at least once. Good work.

Flamethrower Addition (0.3)



Description:

This mod adds a new weapon: the mighty flamethrower! Although this may sound quite exciting, the excitment doesn't last. The mod still has many problems. The biggest of them is that you gotta have a high end video card, otherwise your FPS will decrease to an unplayable level when you fire the flamethrower (less than 5 FPS). But I believe that will be fixed or improved in newer versions. Another problem that comes to mind is the sound when you hit an enemy with the flames. It's very, very loud and distorted. I believe that will be fixed too. After all, this isn't a final version yet. One positive thing about this mod, is the flames. I was really impressed about the quality of the flame effects. Maybe that's one of the reasons why the FPS gets so low. All taken into account, this is a good mod (if you have a good videocard) and definitely one to keep an eye out for new versions. Just be sure to follow the detailed installation instructions provided with the mod. Thumbs up!

Description:

What is this Mod:

This mod adds a new weapon to your amory. It's a Gravity Gun like the one we all know from Half Life 2.

The weapon enables you to move objects, pick them up and throw them at enemies to harm them.

Mod qualitiy:

This is one HIGH quality weapon. It feels very realistic and it works very well. The model is of high quality and the effect is excelent.

Summary:

If this mod isnt worth your download time and bandwith, then go away, then no mod is. No offcourse not, it's entirely up to you to like or dislike it. But this is definately the best custom made weaponive ever seen for a game.

Version 2 makes loads of GOOD improvements, that just make the weapon feel more homely in Doom3!

If you liked version 1, you will love version2!

Description:

This mod adds laser sight to most of the weapons. It has 4 different shapes, depending on the weapon you're using. For example, the pistol has only a red dot, the machinegun has 3 dots in triangle, simulating a Predator laser (!), etc... It would be a great mod (and is), if not for some problems with the lightning. When you point at a dark area, the laser usually doesn't show up. Other from that, this is a very good mod, and it does really improve the aiming sometimes. Thumbs up and download recommended!

You will now have 150 bullets per clip, much higher damage, and a cool plasma effect. Also, it's now black instead of a puke green (to quote the author on that )

Plasma Shotgun



Description:

The plasma shotgun, pretty self explanitory. Lots of fun, deadly up close and can do alright in a ranged environment. The plasma gun emits a slight glow to light you up a little bit, and the plasma projectiles emit a slightly stronger than normal glow upon explosion.

To get the weapon you will need to do a "give weapon_plasmashotgun" in the console.

Installation:

Unzip the pk4 file to a folder "Plasma Shotgun" under Doom3/Data. Start doom3, launch the mod.

Do a "give weapon_plasmashotgun" in the console, scroll weapons till you get to the plasma shotgun.

This IS just another mod that changes how powerful your beloved shotgun is. But this mod ALSO changes the kickback, so enemies go sailing back with one blow. I have a nice skin from Xio included, and the shotgun no longer loads two ammo per shell you see going into the shottie. I also included my NOGIB mod so that you can play around with the bodies after they go flying 50 feet through the air. The nogib mod I made negates the burning affect from demons for around 40 mins.

Description:

This mod enhances greatly a few visual effects (e.g. monster vaporization delayed by 10", better explosions, molten metal effect added to bullet holes, better blood etc) and changes lots of weapons stats. The player and some monsters are not spared either.

Some game play tweakings are questionable though, such as making the fists and the flashlight a lot weaker, decreasing the player's walking speed, decreasing damage of most weapons while increasing their fire rate.

My only concern is about whether this mod does a good balance of its changes.

DC Grabber Gun (ROE)

Description:

This mod lets you pick up and store up to 12 items inside your gun. You can only pick up items when the "lock on" crosshair is activated. To pick up an item press the ATTACK button. For most items you can release the ATTACK button as soon as the object is targeted. For some items such as zombie corpses you must hold the ATTACK button until the gun overheats. Try to keep the crosshair centered on the targeted item while you hold the ATTACK button. To shoot an item press the RELOAD button.

This mod includes an updated version of the flashlight mod.

Golden Gun (1.0)



Description:

This is a modification of the pistol - it's a customized, 24K gold plated .50AE magnum with an enhanced muzzle velocity (along with enhanced fragmentation rounds). And, as an added visual bonus, it includes a unique tiger-stripe grip (inspired by one of the best FPS games created for the N64, "Perfect Dark"). The texture is a tad crude, but I think it is very high-quality (considering I used bitmaps to edit the texture).

This IS also a Golden Gun, so I also included a new def and script for this mod - I amplified the weapon's power to 5X the original amount, but reduced the clip size by half (so as not to make this a super-weapon per se). I also reduced the firing rate to even out the stakes, and it's accuracy is less-than-perfect (a downside to the enhanced firepower).

Anyway, as with my previous skin, this skin can be used by anyone who wants to use it in their mods, as long as you give me credit for it (to Faiakes: I'll give you exclusive rights to use this in your mods - if you need another skin, you know who to turn to).

This is a very simple, yet very visually stunning skin, and I hope to make more just like it. And I also hope you guys like it too.

Alice's DOOM Enhancements (0.2)

Description:

This mod is a compilation of a couple of different mods to make subtle changes to Doom 3 for single player.

I simply took bits and peices out of other mods and combined them together (mostly Project Brian V014).

The idea is to add little enhancements that basically should've been in the game to begin with but still keep the Doom3 experience that ID intended.

Both mods that I used gave permission in their respective notes files that their content can be used as long as they are credited. All changes are credited to the original mod they came from. Also see my notes at the end of the readme.

-Increased dynamic lighting for muzzleflashes for all weapons. (Lights up about 10 ft.) (Project Brian)

Shotgun:

-Increased the kickback of the shotgun by 5x. The enemies now fly back about 10ft when killed with it. (Project Brian)

-Increased the shotgun damage slightly. (Project Brian)

-Shotgun loads only one shell at a time as per the reload animation instead of seeing one shell loaded but having 2-at-a-time appear in the gun. Shotgun basically takes twice as long to reload. Done for realism. (Alice)

Machinegun:

-Added a small light on the gun. Cannot be turned off. I felt that a futuristic assault rifle would come with some kind of tactical light so I took this directly out of the DuctTape mod. The light has a small beam so it definitely does not replace the flashlight. It just helps you keep track of what you are shooting at. (Duct Tape mod)

Chaingun:

-Increased the clip size for the Chaingun from 60 to 200. (Project Brian) Quote: "60 just didn't seem to justify a "chain"."

Grenades:

-Halved the bounciness of the grenades so they don't act like a "superfunball." (Project Brian)

BFG:

-explosion now has dynamic lighting that would brighten up a warehouse as it should. (Before it didn't brighten at all.) (Project Brian).

Plasmagun:

-Added a blue aura eminating from the Plasma Rifle extending about 5ft. (Project Brian)

This mod tweaks several aspects of the game and the list of changes is fairly impressive. One of them you may especially like is the flashlight that is given a larger beam However, the author also states that the mod will make the game much more difficult: "I thought the original difficulty below nightmare was pie" -> Will you be up for the challenge?

Cam's Doom 3 Weapon Modification (V1.0) (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

This Mod is based on Brian Phillips' "Doom 3 - Project Brian Mod v0.14".

Modifications :

- The BFG-Explosion is a lot lighter, like it should be!

- The Chaingun can now save up to 200 bullets in each chain instead of only 60 now and it's also a lil' more powerful!

- The Granades don't bounce like balls anymore.

- The Machinegun's refire rate increased, it can now save up to 120 bullets per magazine and has a flashlight included!

- The Pistol's refire rate is also increased and it also has a light on it.

- The Shotgun can now blast enemies away a lot better now (like 15 feet or so)! It also has no gib so that the enemies really fly, and an included flashlight.

Chaingun Fix (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

The Doom 3 chaingun. 60 shots, very accurate, and 20 damage per shot. Exactly the way any real-life chaingun should act, right? No. This simple little .pk4 file fixes all that. The clip size has been changed from 60 shots to 300. Damage has been cut to one-fifth. Barrel acceleration and deacceleration raised slightly. 2 shots come out for each point of ammo. Spread (firing cone) raised from 5 to 14. And some other little fixesand tweaks (probably some wierd things I edited just to test out what they did). Also, this should be a bit more

balanced with other weapons than the regular chaingun. Although the clip size is much, much bigger, the decreased accuracy and damage make up for it.

Installation: Simple enough, all you do is copy the "pak005.pk4" file into the "base" folder of your Doom 3 directory, by default C:Program FilesDoom 3base. If you have another file of the same name there, just rename it "pak006.pk4".

Notes: If you decide to put this in a mod pack or part of a bigger modification, I have no objection. Just make sure everything is in working order before you release it (I haven't taken much time to crash test it).

ChainsawDM (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

This mod is very similar to NeoG's Chainsaw only but then again is slightly different form it

Here's what this mod by Annon Kaies Zi does:

- All players only spawn with a Flashlight and a Chainsaw

- All weapon and ammo pickups have been removed

- Running and walking speed has been increased by 30%

Installation:

Place the folder "ChainsawDM" in your Doom 3 folder (default is "C:Program FilesDoom 3).

How to Play:

Run Doom 3, press "Mods" on the bottom of the screen, select ChainsawDM and click "Load Mod."

Classic DOOM Shotgun (1.0) (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

This is a mod that makes the shotgun in Doom 3 act more like the shotgun in the original Doom, and less like the double-barreled shotgun from Doom 2.

The rate of fire of the shotgun is increased significantly, and the pellet spread is reduced from a 22(!) degree cone to a 7 degree cone. To help keep the weapon balanced, the number of pellets the shotgun fires is reduced to 7 from 13, and the reload time is doubled (one shell is loaded per reload animation instead of two). Zombies can readily be killed in one good hit, or 2-3 average hits (depending on zombie type), while it usually takes 2-3 solid body hits to take down an imp, though a good headshot will take them down in one.

Deagle Pistol (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

It's amazing how picky people can be about weapons isn't it? This mod is here to modify how the pistol works and how it sounds.

To sum up it'll greatly increase the damage to that of a CS type Deagle (going from 14 damage to 40) while at the same type reducing the clip count from 12 to 7 - something I admire the author for doing to make it less of a 'cheat' weapon as he calls it. Reload time does play a part in tactics and so this little change helps immensly.

Also included are new sounds which seem a bit louder and crisp. I think they work well and although the gun looks the same it sounds different; a bit of imagination will let you believe it is a Deagle if nothing else

This mod allows you to use the ROE Double Barrel Shotgun in Doom 3. Just place the "Double Barrel shotgun for Doom III.pk4" in your Doom 3 "base" directory.

However to get it you have to activate the console, the console can be accessed by pressing CTRL+ALT+x where 'x' is the key under ESC, tilde for many, ` hyphen for others, it all depends on your region. Now that you have the console up type in: "give weapon_shotgun_double" thats it now you can play the entire game with your favourite weapon.

You may use the file as you want, you dont need to ask me if you want to alter it or add it in another mod.

Grenade Toggle, V1.02

Description:

GToggle is a small mod for Doom 3, which allows grenades to be toggled on and

off like the flashlight.

Basically, I tend to use grenades very sparingly, and I didn't like having to

hunt for a weapon key after I threw a 'nade or two. In my opinion, the default

behavior of not toggling, with grenades, is a bug, one that I hope Id fixes;

either by just defaulting the setting to on, adding cvars so that players can

customize freely without a mod, or better yet, cvars and an ingame menu.

(Perhaps part of a weapon priority menu?)

In any case, there's nothing I'd like to see more than this mod being made

obsolete by Id.

This mod works with version 1.0.1262 (The version on the CDs) of Doom 3.

It may or may not work (properly) with later versions.

Robob's readme of his "Pistol Speed" mod says it all, I've just taken his critique a step further and modified the pistol to act like a semi-automatic pistol should do: one shot per click. Counter-Strike got this, so why not Doom 3 (yeah yeah, it doesn't stick with the DooM flair; nobody forces you to use this). Did I mention you can rapid-fire it?!

Description:

This is an intresting weapons mod, and I'm omly going to highlight the most intresting part, which is the fact that rocket and plasma shots bounce off of walls like grenades. I found that this changes the balance of the plasma gun primairly, reminding of the tetrion pulse disruptor from EF. He also modified the fist/flashlight th do oppsite damage. (Now fists do the old flashlight damage and vice versa.)

Good for those of you that like grenade launchers, a good reason to use your fists, or like plasma to bounce off of walls.

Real Guns Mod (V0.1) (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

This mod makes the guns in Doom 3 more realistic.

-Flashlight: it's now a more like a lantern.

-The Pistol: is now stronger, Rate of Fire Increased, a 15 shot clip, and a flashlight attached to it.

-Shotgun: somewhat stronger, more projectiles, spread decreased, rate of fire increased, it now holds 10 shells instead of 8, the reloading is faster and a flashlight attached to it as well, but i did not make it to strong it is balanced out perfectly.

-Machinegun: stronger, rate of fire increased, it no longer shoots in short bursts, but the clip was decreased to 30 shots instead of 60, i made it so the longer you hold down the trigger the worse the accurcy gets but it doesn't get real bad the spread on it was 2 normaly but i changed it to 3 but if you hold the trigger down longer than 3 secs it goes to 4.

-Chaingun: a little stronger VERY LITTLE but the Rate Of Fire was increased, it FIRES EXTREMLY FAST, it's just a little less accurate than before.

-Handgrenades: it doesn't bounce around every where when you throw it, it bounces once or twice and thats it, and the explosion radius is a little bigger, and the damage was increased a little.

-Plasmagun: No Changes yet

-Rocketlauncher: damage increased a little and explosion radius a little bigger.

-BFG: No Changes Yet

-Chainsaw: No Changes Yet

-SoulCube: NONE

The Shotgun. One of your most used weapons in Doom 3 (well for me anyway) but I always noticed how the marine magically loaded 2 shells into the gun when he only put one in. This mod fixes that and re-balences the reload time so its faster.

Installation: Extract the shotgun_mod.pk4 to your Doom 3 "base" folder. Then load up Doom 3 and enjoy.

Removal: Simply delete the shotgun_mod.pk4 file and your shotgun will be back to normal.

Notes: If you have a saved game halfway through the level you will automatically restart at the beginning, as it is with every mod you install. If you delete the .pk4 u will begin where you were.

UAC Plasma Gun - a.k.a. Lightbender (NESSUNA IMMAGINE)

Description:

This is a modification to the UAC prototype Plasma Rifle to make it a fearsome weapon, more in line with what a plasma weapon should be. This is not a mod just to make the Plasma Rifle the ultimate weapon.

The modification changes the firing rate and velocity of the plasma projectiles. Damage remains the same, clip size has been increased to 75. New sound effects have been enabled giving the gun a more vicious sound.

Unpack, copy the pak005.pk4 to your /base directory, and run Doom3. Note that previously saved games will be started at the beginning of the level they were saved in after adding this mod. To uninstall this mod just delete the pak005.pk4. If you already have a pak005.pk4,just rename it to pak006.pk4 or higher.

Description:

All none melee weapons have been modified so that the muzzleflashes now emit more light

than before. This basically lights up the room as long as you are firing your weapon.

Description:

The pistol in Doom3, lowly but effective. I always have a problem with game characters and their inability to shoot over 1 round a second with their pistols. This mod halves the fire rate of the pistol making it shoot realistically faster.

Installation: Extract the pak005.pk4 to your Doom 3 "base" folder. If there is a file named pak005.pk4 already rename the mod .pk4 to the next number (ex pak006.pk4). Then load up Doom 3 and enjoy.

Removal: Simply delete the pak005.pk4 file and your pistol will be back to normal.
