“I’m thinking about whether something like a demo, for example, would be good to give users a chance to get their hands on the game,” Saito said. “Rather than have users experience it within a short 10 or 20 minutes, I want users to properly experience NieR: Automata with a demo of a 30-to-40 minute, sit-down-and-play kind of volume.”
Asked about NieR: Automata‘s plans for the Tokyo Game Show in September, Saito says that, “While we’ve focused on showing the action up until now, I think we’ll be able to debut a trailer that gives off an ‘RPG’-like impression, so please look forward to it.”

At Gamescom 2016 in Cologne, Square Enix announcedd that NieR: Automata, that was previously announced only for PS4, will also be released for PC on Steam early next year. Due to this, it’s quite normal to wonder whether Square Enix plans to expand the game to even more platforms like Xbox One and the upcoming Nintendo NX.

DualShockers asked Producer Yosuke Saito to clarify that point, and he explained that right now there are no plans to port the game to Xbox One and NX, but if Nier: Automata is successful worldwide, it could happen. The possibility is not zero.

Saito-san also clarified that the team has been considering a Steam release from the very start of the project. The PC version will be developed by PlatinumGames as well, so fans shouldn’t worry about the quality of the port.

At Gamescom 2016 in Cologne, DualShockers spoke with NieR: Automata Producer Yosuke Saito, who shared more information about the duration of the game and the side-quest content it will come packed with.
Saito-san mentioned that during previous interviews at Gamescom he answered that the game would last about 25 hours, but when he told that to the staff back in Japan they said “no, it probably takes a lot longer than that.”

He also explained that you don’t need to do the side quests to clear the game and reach the ending, but there are multiple endings, so if you want to see the true one, you’ll “probably have to do the side quests as well.”

There are short side-quests with stand-alone objective that ask you to find an item or similar simple objectives, but there are also longer side quests that might have several chapters telling a longer story.

Saito-san also teased that the resistance camp that has been showcased so far isn’t the only settlement in the game, but more will be revealed about this in the future.
Più di 25 ore e per vedere il true ending bisogna fare le side quest.:mah:

Impressioni sulla demo by un utente di neogaf

During gamescom last week Square Enix allowed journalists who attended a presentation and Interview with Yosuke Saito and Keiichi Okabe play Nier: Automata for what I believe is the first time - please correct me if I'm wrong. So I figured some of you guys might be interested in how it actually feels playing the game //content.invisioncic.com/a283374/emoticons/smile.png
Now, it wasn't a long play session by any means. Each person got to play exactly three minutes. You got dropped into an arena (it was inside this industrial room from the gameplay reveal:

Square Enix launched a short video featuring Nier: Automata composer Keiichi Okabe and producer Yosuke Saito, coming to PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam early 2017.
During the video Okabe-san expresses his excitement for the music in the game. He adds that he hopes the game does well so he could one day turn the music into a live concert.

Towards the end of the video, Saito-san playfully interrupts and says, “A concert is clearly important, but Toro Yoko went out of his way to make that crappy video to announce the Steam version, I want you all to be excited about that too, and look forward to seeing us on Steam.”

Furthermore, he concluded the conversation by saying their next big announcement for the game will take place at Tokyo Game Show 2016.
