""Looking through these trainer movesets, the regular trainers got nerfed as we were expecting with a lot of them only using singles and maybe a double. It looks like each route has an expert trainer thought now, maybe like Sun and Moon did? One trainer that's just stronger than everyone else on it. Most of the Gym Leaders come out on par with their RB counterparts (I am bothered they aren't using the Yellow teams) but with some level nerfs, movesets are generally dull though 3 moves each and weaker attack moves that often don't cover weaknesses, why does blaine have so many pokemon with quick attack.Elite 4 are underwhelming, they have better movesets then RB attrocious ones, but again lower leveled, only 3 moves per Elite 4 member and often it's just their STAB moves, types matchups alone will often see you through. Post game matches seem alright, gym leaders have teams slightly better than Elite 4 round 1, same goes for the Champion and the Champions bizarre love for Quick Attack. Elite 4 round 2 adds one Alolan Form and a 4th move to all their pokemon along with 10 more levels. Bonus boss movesets seem fine for the most part.Alot of a the Master Trainers are really underwhelming though. Again, only 3 moves per master trainer in most instances. A lot of the lower evolved master trainer pokemon have weak movesets (Oddish and Gloom literally only have Sludge Bomb, that's it) and some of the fully evolved ones aren't that much better (Fearow Master Trainer has Lv80 Fearow : Sky Attack / Focus Energy / Drill Run, beccause Drill Run is going to be hitting other Fearows, right?) Kangaskhan Master is just sad (Rage and Headbutt, that's it). Some really only need the one move (Gyrados probably can win with thunderbolt, but did the other move really need to be Earthquake?) A number are just "Use the 1HKO Move" so basically overlevel them to win that one. I wasn't hot on the whole Master Trainers to begin with because a lot of it feels like a grind.
And I guess that grind is going to be the big issue. With Cerulean Cave wild pokemon capping at 56, and Elite Four capping around Level 67, that grind to Level 75 and Level 80 for some of these is going to be fairly lengthy, With Level 85 for the bonus boss as well just seeming like it's going to take a really really long time to get to.""
