The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has first details on Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation, the newly announced, Sega-developed smartphone game.
The scenario is being done by Makoto Fukami. Character design is being handled by Tatsuro Iwamoto.

The protagonist, whose gender can be chosen by the player, has the ability to summon demons through their smartphone using the “Devil Downloader” (Dx2) application.

Players will become members of the “Liberators,” a secret organization that protects the world, and get caught up in a conflict between Dx2 users.

The Liberators’ hideout is a shared house in Akihabara. It is complete with facilities for demon fusion and strengthening, an item shop, and so on.

There are “Aura Gates” in which players will explore 3D dungeons, and challenge how far in they can go.

Demons are represented in high-quality 3D graphics. The series’ traditional demon negotiation and skill inheriting will return, and growth elements original to this game are being added.

Players battle commanding four demons, and the protagonist himself or herself never fights. Combat uses the series’ familiar Press Turn battle system. If you hit the enemy’s weakness, the number of actions you can use will increase. But if you hit their resistance, the number of actions you can use will decrease.

Standing poses of characters in dialogue scenes are animated and fully voiced.

Sega will announce more details about Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation at Tokyo Game Show 2017, which runs from September 21 to 24.

“You,” guided by a mysterious man and given his power, become a member of the “Liberators,” a secret organization that protects the world, and together with popular video makers like Megakin, get caught up in a conflict between fellow Dx2 users.

The enemy’s name is “Acolytes.” It is another Dx2 group that acts based on their own philosophy. Those with high “empathy quotients” are obstacles to their objective, and they secretly eliminate them.

On the other side of a society that is seen as peaceful, the malice of its people is quietly spreading, and the battle of the Devil Downloaders is gradually intensifying.

The leader of Liberators’ Tokyo division. He is a popular video maker on “Megatube,” but he was originally a rapper with no base. His video studio is set up at the share house, Liberators’ hideout.

A cool beauty and gun maniac. She moves at her own pace and often speaks without picking up the mood of the conversation. She will investigate a certain case together with the protagonist, who just joined the Liberators.

Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation is fully equipped with systems unique to the Shin Megami Tensei series, including:

Demon Negotiation – Converse and negotiate with demons to “befriend” them.

Demon Fusion – Combine fellow demons to create a new demon through.

“Press Turn Battle” System – A battle system in which the number of actions you can take increases if you hit the enemy’s weakness.

There are also new systems, such as the original content “Aura Gate,” through which you’ll explore 3D dungeons.

In P3 c'è un bad ending. Durante il mese di Dicembre ti verrà chiesto di fare una scelta importante: un'opzione ti porta subito al bad ending mentre l'altra sblocca il percorso verso il true ending. Avendo giocato P4 conosci già la struttura di gioco. Ricorda solo che all'inizio dovrai gestire la stanchezza dei personaggi nel dungeon, ma dopo un po' non sarà più un problema.

Che mostra del gameplay che... nel gioco non c'è. C'è una parte stile metroidvania con un bollino sul video che dice che è uno scherzo. :moia:

A parte quello spezzone, il resto è il gioco vero.
