The English release of the newly announced Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment will have a new English translation, Bandai Namco confirmed.
The game is an updated port of PS Vita’s Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, which launched last year. The western release used the Asian release’s English translation of the game, which, well, was bad.

“We’ve heard your feedback!” Bandai Namco said in a Facebook post. “Sword Art Online: Lost Song will come out physically with Japanese voices and English, German, Italian, Spanish & French subtitles! And the digital version of Re: Hollow Fragment on PS4 will have its English translation redone!”

Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment is due out for PlayStation 4 via PlayStation Network this summer.

“Before, I’d said that if Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment reached over 200,000 sales, I wanted to put out a sequel. But I’ve yet to talk about the details. We’re going to make the sequel, so please wait in anticipation.”

Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment save data import elements detailed

Dengeki Online has detailed what players can import from the PS Vita version of Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment into the summer-due PlayStation 4 version, Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment.

The following elements can be imported:

Your level (up to 199)

Your money (up to 99,999,999 Col)

Your equipment, possessions, items, etc.

Avatar data

Heroine level and other player levels

Clear flags, downloadable content items, event items, and such cannot be imported. You’ll also have to start the game from the beginning. As previously announced, downloadable content from the PS Vita version will be unlockable in the PlayStation 4 version at a later date.

The Dengeki article also has a look at some of the changes in the PlayStation 4 version. This includes online multiplayer support (versus the PS Vita version’s ad-hoc multuplayer; pictured above), which was confirmed yesterday, as well as partial changes to the bosses. There are more changes besides the two Dengeki lists, such as the ability to edit female characters (rather than just Kirito), but they’re not mentioned in the article.

Dengeki also has a look at the PlayStation 4 version of Sword Art Online: Lost Song, highlighting the PlayStation 4 version’s nicer graphics (look, grass!), livelier Sky City Line, and more on-screen enemies.

Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment is due out for PlayStation 4 via PlayStation Network in North America and Europe this summer.
