A: No, Gina does not want this

Q: Do the sound designers voice NPC characters?

A: No, cannot due to SAG rules, but can do sound effects for monsters.

Q: (paraphrased) Can the falling sounds be scaled according to how far the character falls?

Combat Update with Eric Wrobel

Will be split across two shows, due to number of things that need to be said. Item stuff too much to talk about today.

Veteran System.

Removing Veteran Ranks is still happening, but more long term. Short term changes are needed, so the next update will add Veteran Ranks 15 & 16.

Eric: "We have talked about, on occasion, removing [Veteran Ranks]"

Jessica: "That is still happening"

Eric: "That is still a goal for us, but it's a little bit more of a long term goal."

ZOS knows that it is painful to get VR. The next update will add four changes to XP values, globally

Veteran XP to get through to 16 is reduced by 15%.

All veteran quest XP rewards increased 50%.

Public dungeons XP for Veterans doubled.

Craglorn XP increased 20% across the board.

Q: Why increase to Veteran Rank 16 if they are being removed?

A: (paraphrased quote) Item power and Veteran Ranks are really tightly coupled right now. When we remove the veteran ranks, we want to do a more system wide approach and have the rest of the game work well with not having the veteran ranks. If we just take them out and have more levels and those levels take like 20 hours to to achieve, that's not really changing anything. We have a longer term goal to take them out, but we want to make it not a crazy long grind. The current plan is that you could keep the progress up to Veteran Rank 16 when Veteran Ranks are removed. There will be other systems that are changed to support that.
modifiche al PvP

Read below for an explanation of the changes you can expect to see coming to Cyrodiil in our next major update.
Jump-to-Friend: Social jumping into Cyrodiil or any PVP space is being disabled. This has long been the way to get around the Guest/Home campaign assignment. With this change, we’re closing that loophole as it’s detrimental to the overall PVP experience and integrity of the campaign system.

PVP Bonuses: Keep, Elder Scroll, and the Emperorship bonuses (passive buffs) will apply only in PVP spaces. This change will effectively do away with the concept of “buff servers.” Originally, we wanted these bonuses to provide a game-wide benefit, but we’ve seen this design become detrimental to the PVP experience due to alliances having “buff servers.”

Emperor Buffs/Skill Line: The “Former Emperor” buffs are being removed from the game. With this new system, you will only get Emperor buffs while your character is actively Emperor. Also, you will be granted the Emperor skill line and abilities upon earning Emperorship, without the need to spend ability points. All players that have spent points in the Emperor skill line will be refunded those skill points.

Low Population Campaigns/Underscoring Alliances: Players participating in a low-population campaign or as part of an underscoring alliance will now gain 20% more AP within the campaign they’re earning that bonus for, instead of 10%. Population polling has also been sped up to apply the underdog/low-population bonuses more often; however, this also means they have the opportunity to expire faster.

Guest Campaign Reassignment: The cooldown on Guest Campaign reassignment will be increased to 4 days from 3.

Home Campaign Reassignment: The cooldown on Home Campaign reassignment has been changed to 12 hours from 3 days, but the cost to switch will be 150,000 AP instead of 15,000. Also, switching home campaigns at the end of a campaign period will now cost 100 AP instead of 5,000 AP.

Battle Leveling: The Battle Leveling system has been updated to include Veteran Ranks. Players that opt into Battle Leveling will be roughly equivalent in power to a VR14 player in moderate-quality gear.

Elder Scrolls & Gates: A fix is in the works that will prevent enemy player characters from getting through the Elder Scroll Gates while the gates are closed. (Gate jumpers beware. Your days are numbered.) Also, a new protective barrier will now surround the Elder Scrolls while in their temples, if the Elder Scroll Gates are closed. This barrier will drop if the gate opens.

That’s not all—the combat team has been hard at work tweaking numbers on abilities and items, too. Expect to see more details about those changes in future patch notes…considering these aren’t patch notes. =)

Last but certainly not least, we have some changes coming for each of the campaigns. We will be making some scoring adjustments to the campaigns in order to provide 4 different campaign styles, each with with different scoring parameters. In all cases the keep transit system, keep bonuses, scroll bonuses,

emperorship crowning/deposing, and leaderboards will remain the same except for the scoring and duration changes noted below:

Azura: Ownership of keeps, resources, Elder Scrolls, and outposts will generate 1 point each per scoring cycle and last 30 days.

Blackwater Blade: Ownership of keeps, resources, Elder Scrolls, and outposts will generate 1 point each per scoring cycle and last 5 days. (Non-Veterans only.)

Chillrend: Keeps, outposts, and resources will generate zero points. Ownership of Elder Scrolls will generate 1 point per scoring cycle and last 7 days.

Haderus: Keeps, outposts, and Elder Scrolls will generate zero points. Ownership of resources will generate 1 point per scoring cycle and last 7 days.

Thornblade: Resources, outposts, and Elder Scrolls will generate zero points. Ownership of keeps will generate 1 point per scoring cycle and last 7 days.

Versidue-Shae (Console Only): Ownership of keeps, resources, Elder Scrolls, and outposts will generate 1 point each per scoring cycle and last 5 days. (Non-Veterans only.)

All campaigns noted above will be ended when the patch with these changes is live, and start at a score of 0. We have not yet determined if we will reset all objectives to their starting alliances. We will communicate this in the associated patch notes.

Hi, on ESO Live today they talked a bit about Tel Var Stones and how they work. This is up on ESO Academy.

Tel Var Stones

I'll put it here so you can read it as well. I'm newish to Reddit formatting, so I'll edit if necessary to make it readable. Also let me know if I missed anything, thanks!

Tel Var Stones are a new currency used in the Imperial City. Tel Var Stones are found exclusively in the Imperial City by killing daedra, bosses and even players. If you die in the Imperial City with some Tel Var Stones in your inventory you will drop them and your attacked can pick them up. You can also kill enemy players and take their Tel Var Stones.

Tel Var Stones don’t take up any space in your inventory so you don’t have to worry that you will run out of space. You can’t mail or trade Tel Var Stones but you can store them for safe keeping in your bank. You won’t loose any Stones from your bank if you die.

ZOS have stated on ESO Live that Tel Var Stones won’t be available in the Crown Store.

GET AND LOSE TEL VAR STONES

You can get Tel Var Stones from killing monsters, daedra and enemy players. The difficulty of the monsters will effect the amount of Stones that you will receive. On ESO Live it was suggested that a minor mob might only give you 4 Stones and a boss might give as much as 100 to 400 Stones for major group bosses. If you are in a group the amount of Stones will be divided evenly between all contributing members of the group.

You will also loot 100% of the Stones carried by enemy players! This means that if you are killed by an enemy player you will lose all of your Stones. If you are killed by an enemy monster or daedra you will only lose 10% of your Stones.

For a kill to count as a “player kill” the player must perform the killing blow and not a monster or other enemy.

CHESTS / BOXES

You can earn boxes of Tel Var Stones from completing the main story quests in the Imperial City. There are also daily quests which reward boxes of Tel Var Stones.

The good thing about these boxes is that they are safe from enemy players until you open them. The boxes are aslo effected by your Tel Var Stone multiplier – so you will get more Stones from a box with a higher multiplier (see below). Once you open the box the Stones are lootable again.

TEL VAR STONE MULTIPLIER

As you collect Stones you will increase your multiplier which, as it increases, gives you more Tel Var Stones from all sources.

If you have 100 Stones you will have a multiplier of 2x.

If you have 1000 Stones you will have a multiplier of 3x.

If you have 10,000 Stones you will have the highest multiplier of 4x.

CRAZY SCAMPS

In the Imperial City Sewers there is a chance to come across wandering Scamps which can drop a lot of Tel Var Stones. The chance is random and you may get a lot of Tel Var Stones or just a few. The scamps will run around and attempt to flee from you, often drawing in other enemies (or players) to fight you. In the end if you can’t slay the scamp it will portal away.

SPEND TEL VAR STONES

You can spend your Tel Var Stones at merchants in the safe area of the Imperial City on numerous items and crafting materials.

Some known items and below, this will be updated in the future. This sneak peak was seen on ESO Live.

Sigil of Imperial Retreat Teleports you back to the safe area of the Imperial City Sewers. 500 Stones.

Charcoal of Remorse - For the Xivkyn Motif. 25 Stones?

Colossus Ingot - Crafting material. ?

Daedric Skin - Crafting material. ?

Harvester Silk - Crafting material. ?

New Rune Stones - Maybe for the new Enchant?

New Item Sets (20) We don't know the details yet.
