The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will launch for PlayStation 4 on September 28 in Japan for 7,800 yen, the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation reveals.The magazine also confirms that characters Agate Crosner, Sara Valestein, Toval Randonneur, Tita Russell, and G. Schmidt will appear in the game. Systems such as “Direct Command,” “Brave Order,” “Craft,” and “Style Change” will also appear.

A first-print limited box will include:

Original DLC: “An Invitation from Thors Main School”

Here are details on two of the new characters:

Agate Crosner – After the “Liberl Accident,” he accomplished various things both inside and outside of the country, and was promoted to A-Class. Four years have passed since Trails in the Sky, and he has grown mentally.

Tita Russell – Tita is now 16 years old, but her love for Agate and for fiddling with machines has not changed.

Here are details on some of the systems:

Direct Command – The “Ring Command” from the previous games has been changed to a “Direct Command” method in which you can input an action with a single button. Each command corresponds to the buttons and d-pad on the controller, allowing you to intuitively input actions.

Brave Order – A new system in which each character can invoke an “Order” (tactical instruction) during their turn, without using up their turn. When activated, the effect is granted to the entire party during that turn. Brave Order can be triggered by consuming the BP that builds up during battle.

Craft – A character’s unique technique that can be activated using the CP that builds up during battle.

Style Change – A special characteristic of Juna Crawford, who can change between two styles during battle. Juna uses a “Gun Breaker” weapon that possesses the functions of both a gun and a baton. Each time it’s Juna’s turn, she can switch between “Striker Mode” and “Gunner Mode.”

Cold Steel 3 nella primavera del 2018 sarebbe una gran cosa. L'importante è che non si faccia attendere troppo.

28 years old. Fights with a heavy sword. An A-rank Bracer from the Liberl Kingdom, he upped his status by accomplishing various things after the Liberl Disaster. With the Imperial guild “nearly destroyed” by the pressure of the Intelligence Agency, Agate entered the Empire as an assistant to Prince Olivert. He is trying to discover the truth behind what started the “Hundred Days War” that broke out between the Liberl Kingdom and the Empire 14 years ago. Sara and Toval are also introduced as Bracers of the Imperial branch, but it does not seem that they have been established to be appearing in the game.

According to Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo, four years have passed since Trails in the Sky, and Agate has grown both mentally and into the personality of an A-rank Bracer. While he is not a staff member of the Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School, one of the big mysteries from Trails in the Sky will be revealed among them. Agate will participate in battle in an unexpected way.

Ieri ho iniziato il capitolo 4 di The 3rd:

ho pochi dubbi sui pg che saranno sbloccati nell'area , per ora sono nel labirinto di lava (che odio per via dei vermoni e delle animazioni delle leve da tirare...estremamente lente).

Sul flashback visibile alla fine del capitolo 3 e dedicato a Kloe: interessante ma l'ho trovato abbastanza prolisso e pesante, spero che più avanti venga ripresa la storiella del nostro amico dai capelli rossi altrimenti non si capisce il motivo della sua apparizione.

ita Russell – A 16 year old girl who is a genius Orbal scholar and enjoys working on machinery. After working for the Bracers for four years during the “Liberl Disaster”, she joins Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School as a member of Class IX: Accounting Division.
During the campaign, Tita will assist the members of the academy by offering her skills in Orbal technology.

Agate Crosner – A 28 year old who is an A-rank Bracer that fights with a heavy sword. He works closely with Prince Olivert in the Empire after the Imperial Guird was almost destroyed by the Intelligence Agency.

In The Legend of Heroes timeline, four years have passed since Trails in the Sky. He is currently not on staff at Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School, but there are some mysteries that were presented in Trails in the Sky that might be revealed throughout the story.

G. Schmidt – A 72 year old Orbal engineer who is one of three disciples next to Dr. Hamiliton and Dr. Russel. He is now a special advisor to Thors Military Academy Reaves II Branch School and leading the research of new technology on the academy’s grounds.

Additionally, battles in Trails of Cold Steel III will differ some from the previous entries in the series. Now, the game has seamless battles, meaning that the battles begin right from the field map without change.

A new system called “Brave Order” allows a character to use an extra action that grants an effect on the party. To use this action, players will need to consume “Brave Points” which can be seen on the battle screens HUD.

Also, characters like Juna Crawford will be able to change their style mid battle, for example: switching out her baton for a gun.
