  • 60fps with faster movement
  • jump and sprint added to Link's moveset; rolling makes an overdue return and should be celebrated (I love rolling around Hyrule)
  • much faster enemies, including bosses, affecting all combat encounters (check out how quickly Volvagia flies now)
  • day/night cycle in all locations rather than just field areas
  • terrain changes, including elevation, layout and enemy placement - these cumulatively could feel significant as outlined in points below
  • new enemies in Hyrule Field somewhere (blue Tektites can only be found in one underground area in the field in the original; the trailer shows them out in the wild)
  • visual changes to signify Big Poe presence (potentially signified by a purple haze in the field)
  • building interiors are potentially seamless; this is definitely the case in Kokiri Village as we saw in Aonuma's gameplay demo, though not confirmed elsewhere
  • while loading screens remain, including for leaving one area for another or going into dungeons, others are removed: Castle Town is now one combined area, where previously it was split into an entrance area, gatehouse interior, market square, alleway, and Temple of Time exterior. It's not clear how this might apply to other areas, because Castle Town was probably the single most segmented location in the game.
  • Kakariko Village layout has changed, and building aesthetics appear to have altered to a more East Asian design in keeping with the BotW/TotK depiction of the Sheikah. My guess right now is that the more elaborate building with the blue roof might be a new design for Impa's House, and that it's in a new position, but it could be the House of Skultula. The building site for the new village shop has definitely changed places. Whether this affects the transition to the graveyard area remains to be seen, but it might now be a seamless area rather than something which loads separately.
  • EDIT: should also be said! the very first shot of the trailer shows a much more natural and realistic transition from Hyrule Field into Kakariko Village, which strengthens the idea the field layout is different in some ways despite sharing the same broad shape as the original game. I'm also going to hazard a guess that some of the new additions to Hyrule Field, like ruined structures and certain eye-catching trees (the curvy ones) might indicate where collectibles like gold skulltulas, as well as secret caves for Heart Pieces and bugs, can be found.
  • 2nd EDIT: Lon Lon Ranch used to occupy an elevated position in the original, being atop of a small hill in the centre of the field. It looks as if this either is no longer the case, or if the Ranch is elevated, it's on a plateau. It's possible the ranch now has a seamless transition, direct from Hyrule Field; or they've simply altered its position because the ranch being a large flat space on top of a small hill makes very little sense in the original, but was possible due to the ranch loading separately from Hyrule Field.
  • the logic guiding dungeon puzzles appears to be intact, even if the 'dressing' has altered: the slingshot room in the Deku Tree functions in the same way, but small details are different: there's a collapsing branch or bridge rather than a floating platform, and there's an eye switch to lower the ladder rather than shooting the ladder itself. I can't recall similarly abstracted puzzles in the original currently, but it stands to reason more little things like this have changed.
  • this last one won't affect gameplay, but it was an aesthetic change I wanted: Link's Goron and Zora tunic designs are different to his Kokiri tunic and, from what I can tell, different from one another. The Zora tunic definitely has a scale like texture to the fabric, as well as a different design on the hat, while the Goron tunic looks like it has some armour embellishments on it, and has a noticeably different design again, with lighter material hems on the sleeves and tunic bottom.

Molto 1:1 :unsisi:
