Secrets

  1. Upon reaching the central nukage pool (with the soul sphere on the pillar), go east through a corridor leading to a pair of seemingly uncrossable nukage pits to the north and south. Fall into the southern pit and flip the switch to lower the ledge you fell from. This reveals a secret passage leading to an earlier part of the level.
  2. At the far north end of the map is a narrow raised walkway shaped like an "m". Drop into the nukage pit north of the walkway, turn around, and press the grey stone wall of the walkway to lower it. Ahead is a lion-head switch. Flip it to open up a wall back to the north. Jump into the hole from the east side of the walkway. It leads to a BFG 9000.
  3. After pressing the switch in the room with the caged Arch-Vile, a door opens on the east side of the room just south of the aforementioned "m" walkway (across from the door you entered this room from). After lowering the lift in this new room, step on and immediately start pushing on the south wall (to the right of the blue torch). You will fall through a hole in the wall. A secret megasphere lurks behind. Open the wall to the right of the megasphere to escape.

Walkthrough

To get out of the first room, you must shoot the door. Out of the door, shoot the imps and zombies to proceed. You will see a pillar and you will tempted to grab all the goodies and go but a mancubus will come out of its hiding place to investigate the noise. You can go on to the Secrets now.

Secrets

  1. In the northwest corner of the courtyard is a triangular area of grass between a couple buildings. Walk into the northern corner of the triangle to be teleported an otherwise unreachable ledge in the maze area.
  2. Inside the maze area are two blue-walled skull switches. The one in the southeast corner of the maze has a secret alcove containing a Chaingun behind it.
  3. After passing through the northeast trail of armor/health bonuses radiating from the central pillar in the courtyard, a door opens on the west side of the yard. Behind it is a spiraling hallway leading to a BFG 9000.
  4. After passing through the northwest trail of armor/health bonuses radiating from the central pillar in the courtyard, an alcove opens in the northeast corner of the yard. Close to this alcove is a "+"-shaped structure. Press the switch on the back side of this structure to lower a teleporter back in the alcove you just opened. Go through to be taken to a new secret area.

Secrets

  1. After entering the citadel, climb the stairs and enter the lion-faced door on the right. Flip the switch in the next room to raise a staircase. Proceed up them and open the grey brick wall between the two satyr faces on the left wall. Go up the stairs in the next room and walk up to the switch on the wall to your left (not the one in the adjacent alcove). Pressing this switch causes a platform in the pit ahead to rise gradually. Flip this switch 2-7 times and jump onto the platform. Straight ahead will be a glowing triangular platform in the corner of the pit. Drop down onto this platform and go through the teleporter. On the other side is a soul sphere.
  2. Upon retrieving the soul sphere in secret #1, walk towards the door in front of you, but instead of going through, start walking backwards. You will be teleported onto a platform surrounded by an inescapable pit. There are two nooks in the wall containing enemies. Shoot the back wall of the smaller of the two nooks to raise a platform leading to the red skull key.
  3. Return to the first room in the citadel. Instead of going through the lion-faced door on the right, go through the left one. Flip the switch in the center of the next room to open two doors in the same room. Go through the southern one and continue along the hall until you hear the noise of a door opening behind. Quickly run back through the door you came through before it shuts and go through the newly opened wall before it closes too. Follow the spiraling stairway upward to the yellow skull key.
  4. Return to the room with the switch in the center and press it again. This time, go through the northern door. There will be a three-way fork in the path almost immediately. Go left and through the door at the end to get a not-so-secret blur sphere.
  5. Go back to the previous fork in the path and go straight. Follow the corridor until you reach a branch in the path that leads outside to the left. Do not drop outside yet. Instead, open the grey brick wall (the one that isn't tinted green) between the two silver strips on the wall that is immediately left of this pathway. This reveals a secret area with a security armor vest inside.
  6. Press the use key on the back wall of secret #4 to lower a lift. Ride it up to another secret area leading outside.
  7. In secret #5, face the hole leading outside and run out as fast as you can. You should land on the "fence" lining the moat. Drop into the moat to gain access to the otherwise unreachable red brick building.
  8. There are two doorways leading into the red brick building from secret #6. Take the doorway on the left. Flip the switch at the end of the hall and go through the door. Pick up the ammo in this next room and then return outside. A new area will have opened, releasing some enemies. Pick up the computer map inside.
  9. Now take the doorway on the right side of the red brick building. Once inside, go up into the small wooden watchtower in the corner and flip the switch there. This opens another secret passage at the north end of this room, revealing a set of five teleporters which take you to corresponding parts of the citadel. Take the northeast teleport to reach an otherwise unreachable secret area in the northeast "turret" of the fortress.

Secrets

  1. At the very beginning of the level, turn around and face the structure behind you. Walk of the ledge you're on to cause a walkway to rise below you. Follow this walkway around to the back of the structure to access its inside. Once you're done exploring, drop into the pit of blood between the walkway and the structure. At either end of the semicircular pit are alcoves. The western alcove contains a rad suit and a bulk cell and is considered a secret. The east alcove teleports you back to the starting point.
  2. In the northeast corner of the level is a large structure. Walk around the far side and you'll see a narrow "alley" with a glowing skull decoration at its end. Enter this alley to find a passageway leading up to a teleporter. Go through to be taken to a circular structure in the west of the map. After raising the floor in this building, flip the switch to lower a teleport, but do not go through it yet. The walls immediately to the left and right of the teleporter can be opened as well. Both count as individual secrets.
  3. See secret #3.
  4. At the end of either secret #4 or #5, open the wall leading to the area behind the teleporter (the right wall in the left alcove; the left wall in the right alcove. This, too, counts as a secret and contains a soul sphere.
  5. On the east side of the map is a square building in a sunken pit of lava. Enter this building via the lift in the southwest corner and follow the winding path all the way to the teleporter at the top, but do not go through it. Instead, open the wall immediately to its left to reveal a secret path leading to another teleporter.
  6. Take the demon-faced teleporter in the area with the circular walkway (after the room with the battling Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind). Follow the white walkway in front of you and run through the dark hole in the wall. Hug the left wall in this dark area and you'll go through a narrow tunnel with a teleport at the end. Go through to be taken to a tall pillar with a megasphere.
  7. Return to the dark area containing the passage to secret #6, but take the non-secret teleporter on the opposite end of the room. Once the floor lowers, drop off the ledge straight ahead to lower the wall in front of you. go through the newly opened hallway until you reach the dark room with a lit staircase in the center. The wall with the lightning symbol on the south end of this room can be opened, and contains a soul sphere.

Walkthrough

Pick up the health bonuses and medikits in the starting area and kill the imps in front of you. Take the teleporter on the right. On the other side, continue along the path either way, killing spectres and shotgun guys along the way. Once you approach the teleporter at the end, the wall will open, releasing two pairs of revenants. Flip the switch to lower the wall, then step through the second teleporter.

In the next area, flip all four switches on the triangular platform. This raises a staircase in front of you. The nearest step actually acts as a lift, so lower it and step on. Once it has risen again, you can jump onto the triangular platform to retrieve the rocket launcher. Afterwards, climb the stairs and continue down towards a horde of imps and mancubi as well as two teleporters. Take the one on the right.

In the next area, press the use key on any of the four walls to lower them, unleashing an ambush of imps around you. Crossing into their territory causes the next four walls two lower, revealing a further two pain elementals. After all the enemies are dead, pick up the yellow skull key and go through the teleporter. To get the megasphere in the room you just came from, flip the switch closest to the teleporter and go through again. Run into the megasphere's corner before it rises again. Once you've obtained the megasphere, flip the other switch to open a shortcut back to the starting area. This time take the teleporter on the left.

Open the yellow walls in the next area. From here, follow the ledge around to the end, then drop down onto the imps' platform and flip the switch. This lowers the chaingunners' platform across the way, where you can pick up the red key. Grab the nearby radiation suit and head back out into the main slime pit with the brown platforms. The blue key rests on the northwestern-most platform. Lower the platform just southeast of this as you would a lift, ride it up and drop onto the blue key platform. once you've obtained all 3 keys, head back to the southeast corner of the pit and lower the platform there. Ride it back up to the ledge, make your way through the red and blue barriers, then exit.

Walkthrough

Right off the bat, secrets #1 and #2 are accessible if you wish to go that route. If not, simply lower the lift in front of you and ride it up to the central area. Kill the chaingunners on the "compass" platform and drop into the slime pit, killing any spectres that get in your way. Lower the green lion-faced block in the northwest corner of the pit and ride it up. In this next area, flip the switch in the corner and pick up the berserk pack. Continue up the stairs and along the path, killing monsters along the way. When you reach the upside-down-"T"-shaped structure, go through the door on the south side, kill the imp, and go through the teleporter.

From here, pick up the blue keycard and run along the walkway back onto the compass platform. Walk along the bridge to the west and pick up the rocket launcher. Drop back into the slime and lower the baron-faced block in the northeast corner. Drop down the shaft, kill the demons, and raise the bars using the blue key. Walk through the arched tunnel and drop into the next area. Flip the switch to lower a wall, releasing a Baron of Hell. Kill him, and flip the switch to lower the lift to the red key. Pick it up (Secret #3 is here) and follow the passage back out to the bars. Go around the arched tunnel this time and flip the switch at the end. Be wary of the chaingunners that a released upon doing this. Quickly make your way back through the now-open bars before they close again. Lower the green pillar in the corner to get back to the central area. Drop into the slime one last time, and lower the gargoyle-faced block. Open the red door, killing chaingunners along the way. Flip the switch behind the last door to exit the level.

Secrets

  1. In the northwest corner of the starting room, there is a slightly recessed dark green wall. Open it to reveal a soul sphere, security armor, and a box of rockets.
  2. On the southern wall of the starting room, there are five torches. Press the use key on the green torch to lower a floor to your right that leads to a plasma rifle and a teleporter to the main area.
  3. Immediately after picking up the red skull key, open the Baron-of-Hell-faced wall to your right. Behind it is a teleporter to secret #2.

Walkthrough

From the start, turn around and run as fast as you can to the door at the opposite end of the hallway before the mancubus causes a chain reaction of explosions. Go through the teleporter behind the door to be taken to another area. Again, run to the end of the hall before the chaingunners cause all the barrels to explode. Once all the barrels have been detonated, you can go back and pick up all the goodies you left behind. When ready, go through the second teleporter. In the next area, quickly kill the pain elementals before you're swamped with lost souls, and flip the switch at the end of the room. This raises a platform across the starting hall (if for some reason the wall in this room does not rise when the switch is pressed, shoot it and it will open). Run across the platform to the other newly revealed room across the way and follow it to the opposite end, where you'll find two passages (see secret #1).

After dropping from either passageway, you'll find yourself on a platform floating in a pool of blood. First, kill the enemies overlooking the platform to make things easier. Once they've been disposed of, drop into the blood and go through the teleporter in the southeast corner of the blood pool. This takes you to an area with two wide tunnels. Go through either (they lead into each other) and into the smaller rocky tunnels at the far end. Here you'll find to caches of rockets as well as secret #2. Entering these tunnels releases several arachnotrons and a Spider Mastermind back outside, however, so make sure you're prepared for a big fight. Once they've been dealt with, pick up the yellow skull key in the newly opened cave outside and go through the nearby teleporter.

On the other side, turn around and follow the cavernous tunnel to its end, where you'll find a BFG9000 and an army of pinky demons. Take the teleporter on the left and immediately start running again before the chaingunners cause the barrels around you to explode. Head through the exit door at the end of the hall and open the yellow door to the right. Shoot the barrels you can see to clear the way to the exit teleport.

Secrets

  1. After raising the triangular platform allowing you to cross the long corridor you started in, you will be able to access a raised corridor in the east side at this area. At the north end of this hall are two passageways that lead outside. Take either one and continue to the end, but do not drop outside yet. Outside, between the two passages, is a long raised platform. If you took the right (lower) passage, you can simply walk onto it, and if you took the left (upper) passage, you'll need to drop onto it from above. Once on the platform, turn around and you'll be able to access a thin secret passage with a megasphere at its end.
  2. Once in the outdoor area, drop into the pit of blood and take the teleporter in the southeast corner. It takes you to a raised area with a wide, circular tunnel. At the far end of the tunnel is a pair of smaller tunnels that each lead to a cache of rocket boxes. The southern of the two tunnels has a satyr face on the wall. Open it to reveal a soul sphere.

Walkthrough

Carefully walk across the winding walkway sprawling in front of you at the beginning of the level. Enter the building at the end. Inside, explore the maze-like interior, killing enemies along the way to clear your path. Once you pick up the blue keycard in the northwest corner of the building, return to the starting point.

Continue to follow the ledge around to the west, towards the blue door. Behind it are a series of extremely thin ledges. Walk straight ahead through the intersection and around to the plasma rifle. Upon picking it up, the floor inside the square will rise. After killing the cacodemons, continue along the narrow ledge and take the next right. Walk around the next square walkway to the left, picking up the items on the central platform. This causes the floor to raise again. Once the cacodemon has been killed, head north towards the platform with the hanging corpse dangling above it, and you'll be teleported to a new area.

Proceed along the path and take a left at the branch. You'll arrive at two teleporters. Take the right (silver) one to be transported to a pulsating blue room. In this next room, kill the demons lurking about. Drop down into the center of this room and flip the skull switch to the east. This causes a platform in the west to lower, so run over, ride it back up, and flip the second skull switch. This one lowers a platform in the north, so once again run onto it before it raises and flip the skull switch. This will lower the red keycard directly in front of you. Pick it up and exit this area by flipping the switch in the south and walking through the teleporter.

Once you're back in the previous area, walk along the ledge towards the red door. Be careful, as there's no way to escape the slime pit here. Go through the red door and the door directly behind it, through the exit door and into the exit teleport.

Secrets

  1. From the start, continue right along the ledge until you reach the far side of the building. At the very end, there is a very thin, circular walkway that eventually leads to a shotgun. Upon picking up the shotgun, a hole in the wall behind you opens up, unleashing some Cacodemons. You can fall into this hole from the platform you're on (which will gradually rise) and get the secret items there.
  2. Drop into the slime in the main area and take any of the teleporters down there. You will be taken to the top of a tall red pillar, with several more beneath you. Run along down the pillars until you reach a platform with a teleporter on it. Go through to be taken to an otherwise unreachable area. Follow the hall to the right around a bend and flip the switch there. Return the way you came and take the first right at the end of the hall. Follow the path to another switch and press that one. Follow the remaining hall to a third switch. Press it to open a teleporter taking you back to the main area. Drop back down into the slime and take the teleporter back up to the first red pillar. This time, run across the next three and back onto the ledge you started the level on. The switches you pushed in the hidden area have caused a set of stairs to raise, allowing you to enter the previously unaccessible central building.
  3. Inside the central building (secret #2), there is a raised computer on the right wall near the entrance. Press the use key against it to lower an elevator behind you that will take you to a secret ammo stash.
  4. After passing through the blue door, you'll be faced with a series of extremely thin walkways across a slime pit. From the blue door, go straight, take a right at the intersection, and after turning left continue straight until you reach the area where the walkway forms a square. Inside this square is a raised platform with an invulnerability sphere. Drop onto this platform. To escape safely, stand at one of the edges of the platform and press the use key. This causes the platform to raise a little. You can do this as many times as you need to get out. If you fall into the area between the platform and the thin walkway, you can press the use key against the outer walls to raise that floor as well.

Walkthrough

From the starting area, walk forward, dropping into the shaft ahead of you. Continue forward out into the large round courtyard. Walk around the blood "fountain" the revenant is perched on and lower the grey wall (actually an elevator), proceeding into the cave behind it. Continue to the end of the cave and go through the teleport.

In the next area, pick up the blue skull key in front of you and snipe at the enemies below to clear your path. When you're done, drop into the blood and climb the stairs from the top platform. From here, You can run along the platforms to the north to get a megasphere if you wish. Either way, go through the door to the south, down the stairs, and into the teleporter.

Back in the starting area, drop down the shaft ahead of you once again. Lower the grey wall in the courtyard again, but ride it back up this time. Continue along the ledge to the blue door in the south. Kill all the enemies in the next room, then continue down the stairs to the lift. Ride it up and proceed along the path to the next lift. Once inside the green marble area, get the items in the watery alcoves to the left and right if you wish, then lower the wall ahead (another lift). You'll now find yourself in a dark outdoor area with seven columns surrounding a square structure. Find the switch on one of these columns to lower the wall of the square structure. Step into the teleporter beneath the floating cube of water inside to exit the level.

Secrets

  1. After getting the blue skull key, drop down into the pit of blood and walk up the stairs and through the door at the top. About halfway down the stairs behind this door is a green-paneled wall on the left. Behind it is some secret ammo.
  2. After riding the lift behind the blue door, turn left and continue to hug the left wall until you reach a solid grey wall (no green skulls on it). Open it to get a BFG9000 in skills 1-3. In skills 4 and 5, it's empty, but still counts as a secret.

Secrets

  1. At the level start, immediately turn around and open the wall behind you to reveal a secret area.
  2. Return to the starting room and press the switch. Once the floor lowers, open the vented wall to the right (still in the starting room) to access another fairly extensive secret area.
  3. The wall behind the blue skull key opens, revealing a switch.
  4. Press the switch in secret #3, and return to the previous, lava-floored room. Two timed lifts have been lowered on the north and south walls. Ride the northern lift up into an alcove containing a combat armor vest. One of the walls in this alcove is differently textured from the rest. Open it and follow the tunnel to a soul sphere.

Secrets

  1. The first secret can only be accessed for the first 30 seconds of the level, so time is of the essence. First, make your way around the right side of the slime pit ahead of you at the start. Cross the tiny walkway alongside the wall to get to the other side (or jump down from the walkway leading up to the rocket launcher in the center of the pit). At the far left of the wall in front of you is a door; go through and turn left. The brightly lit corner of this large room is the timed secret.
  2. After picking up the yellow skull key in the library, wait until the bookcase you entered from lowers. press the switch on the south side of the bookcase to open a secret alcove behind you. The switch inside is the only way to re-open the bookcase, letting you out.
  3. Just north of the library is a corridor leading east. Step into the circle of light at the end of this corridor to open the wall in front of you, unleashing some Arachnotrons. The area inside counts as a secret.
  4. North of the corridor from secret #3 is another just like it. Step into the circle of light around the glowing skull decoration to lower the wall between them. In the second corridor, step into the light surrounding the glowing eye decoration to open another monster closet that counts as a secret area. Inside are a blur sphere and light amps.
  5. Return to the second large area (where secret #1 was) and go through the door to the right. Inside the next room are two blue skull switches. Press the one on the right to lower the floor in the opposite corner, revealing a secret tunnel leading to a teleporter.
  6. The teleporter pad in secret #5 counts as a separate secret (Note: due to an editing error, the secret area will not be triggered unless the player walks on the teleport pad using no clipping. Otherwise, the player will go through the teleporter without causing the secret to register)
  7. After picking up the blue skull key, a wall opens up, revealing several Mancubi. The alcove they were hiding in — which contains a berserk pack, a soul sphere and a computer map — counts as secret.
  8. Step into the raised square in the center of the room containing the blue skull key to be teleported to a room identical to it. The alcove analogous to secret #7, which contains the same items, is also secret.

Secrets

  1. In the room with five pillars at the northern end of the level, there are three alcoves that open. The east wall of the northern alcove (containing a mancubus) opens, revealing a secret alcove containing another mancubus and a berserk pack...
  2. The north wall of the eastern alcove (containing some revenants and imps) opens, revealing a secret alcove containing a revenant and several backpacks...
  3. And the east wall of the southern alcove (containing several lost souls) opens, revealing a soul sphere.
  4. In the "throne room" at the south end of the map, step onto the "throne" to lower the circular platform in the center of the room.
  5. While on the circular platform from secret #4, hit the skull switch on the north wall to lower a wall behind the throne (as well as the four pillars). Take the teleporter behind the throne to reach the powerups at the far side of the room.
  6. In the "ribbed" hall containing the yellow skull key, there are a pair of "fake" walls. The first is in the corner of the L-shaped hall. The arachnotron inside should give it away (it's also visible on the automap). Walk through the wall to get a plasma rifle.
  7. The second fake wall is about halfway through the north-south running leg of the corridor, on the eastern wall. Inside are several zombies and commandos.

Walkthrough

Start by walking forward between the two torches. A platform should lower down to a larger ledge. Turn right, and press a switch on the wall. Now turn around. A walkway should be rising up, giving access to another ledge. Walk across to this. Go past the round structure in the middle of this platform into the corner at the end. Turn around. A door will have opened in the round structure, revealing a skull switch. Press it. The wall at the end of the platform will lower. Go into this area, and then turn right. You will now be on a walkway that leads to a teleporter.

At the other end of the teleporter, you will be in a small room with an open front. Walk out. You will now be on a very narrow ledge. Walk up it, being very careful not to fall off. Once at the top, go around the corner. Walk up to the square block on the precipice. Turn around. A door will have opened in the corner of the room. Walk into this new room. Go around the central wall and press the switch in the back. Now go back outside. The block will now have lowered. Make a run out onto the tower. Press the switch. A walkway will slowly rise. Also be aware that two doors containing cacodemons will open in the other two towers around you.

Once the ledge has risen fully, go to the middle door. You will now be looking across a pit of acid. Walk across the pit of acid to a skull switch. Hit the switch, then run backwards a bit. If done right, you will be on a new walkway. Go across the walkway and into a new acid pit. Go around the corner to your right and press the skull switch there. It will raise a narrow walkway across a third acid pit. Then go back to your left and press the other skull switch. Run back a little. You will now be on a new walkway. Go to the end of it, then walk across the narrow walk to a room with a switch. Hit the switch.

Now go back out to the walkway in the main room. Go to the door closest to the tower with the switch. Staying on the same floor, walk to the end of the room. Turn around. There will be a skull switch on the wall. Press it. Now turn around again. A platform will be rising. Now you may either go around the corner and take the stairs up into the room above, or simply lower the raised platform by pressing on it. It is a lift. In any case, you can now press the switch inside. Go halfway down the stairs, then turn left. Go across the new walkway into a small chamber. Press the switch in there.

Go out to the walkway in the main room again. Walk to the third door at the end of the walkway. Once inside, open another door. There will be a round wooden structure in the middle. Go left. There will be one side of this structure with scratches on it. This is a door. Go in and take the teleporter. You will now be in a relatively large room with a set of wide, shallow steps in front of you. Go up. There are three ledges on a pool of lava. Run onto the one farthest to your right. Rather than going down it, turn right. You will see another platform with a skull switch. Run onto it and press the switch. Now turn right. There is a lift. Go up to the next floor. Run back into the room with the platforms.

This next routine works for both the far left and the middle platform, and the order does not matter here. Run onto the end of the platform, being careful not to miss. Go to the other end. Press the switch that is there. Now go back to the start of the platform. Drop into the lava, and quickly go take the lift at the right corner (ie the corner away from the main room).

Once both platforms have been done, go back onto the one on the far right. Run across the gap near the end, and take the teleporter. You will now be at the base of a winding stairway. Go up, being careful not to fall off into the blood lake. Once at the top, run quickly past the pit at the center of a platform. It will rise, revealing a monster. (It may be a mancubus or a cyberdemon, depending on your difficulty level.) Instead of killing it, run to a square pit at the far end of the platform, exiting the level.

Walkthrough

Pick up the weapons and powerups and go through the teleporter. You will find yourself on some large "steps". Each step acts as an elevator which can be activated by pressing on the Demon face on its side. Get to the top step and press the button. A small platform in the blood pool at the bottom of the steps will rise up.

When the platform has finished raising, press on its side. The platform will lower down to the floor (an elevator). Stand on the platform and select the rocket launcher. Turn to face the large Demon-face wall (which is known as the Icon of Sin and gives the level its name). The platform will raise; slightly before the elevator reaches the top, launch a rocket toward the exposed brain. If timed correctly, the rocket will enter the brain and an echoing pain sound will be heard. This takes practice to time correctly. Several direct hits are necessary to defeat the Demon. When defeated, the Demon face will explode and the level will exit.

Secrets

There are no official secrets in this level. Using the idclip cheat code to pass into the Icon of Sin reveals the violently severed head of John Romero, impaled on a spike. This is unreachable by normal means and does not register as a secret.

Walkthrough:

At the start, grab the berserker pack and enter the door. Cross the hallway until you arrived at a dead-end with a raised platform. Hit the switch and climb the new stairs towards the walkway. Go to the exit door and return back near the top of the stairs. Go outside, eliminate the Imps and flip the switch. Go back inside, down the stairs towards the entrance room and grab the blue key. Retrace your steps towards the exit blue door and flip the switch. You will slowly descend in a room. Flip another switch to remove the barrier and hit the exit switch.

Secrets:

There is only one secret in this map: in the western room the two pillars, the south button opens for the blue armor, the north one opens a door which leads to an outside area around the tower containing the green armor. There are several imps and a shotgun here.

Secrets:

  1. This one is just on the left of the yellow key, where the monster jumps out when you go on the small ledge. There is here the automap powerup.
  2. The second one is near, when you grab the blue key (that you need for this secret), there is a ledge in front of you; here is the secret elevator. A teleporter goes in another room with the super shotgun and a soul sphere. Watch out for the enemies.
  3. The third one is just on the left before the exit room (you may need to straferun). The secret is in small room behind a door. There is here a blue armor.
  4. The last one needs to hit the switch just before the last secret; it’s the platform with the soul sphere. You teleport here from the alcove with the chainsaw.

Walkthrough:

The first point is at the southwest corner of the map.

Secrets:

(1) The first one is near the first room you teleport to. Look at the automap, the door is symmetric to your teleport place. Behind the door, you teleport to the center of the eastern area, near the blue key.

(2) The second one is to the south of the southwest teleporter that goes to the circular central-upper place. Behind the wall there is health and an energy cell pack (but no cell weapon).

(3) The last one is in the room to the west of the yellow key. There, you get the rocket launcher and a box of shells. Don't be fooled, the three "secret" places that you see with the iddt cheat are reserved for deathmatch.

Walkthrough:

There are 2 areas: the basic area and the mirrored area.

Secrets:

  1. Straight in front of you at the start of the level is a raised platform with a rocket launcher on it. You can lower it like a lift to get the weapon.
  2. After passing the first main area, you arrive in a narrow brown stairway. There are two candles off to the right side. Open the wall behind the candle closest to the door you came in from. Ride the lifts behind it up to a rather extensive secret area.
  3. At the very top of secret 2, there are three computer banks. Each one can lower like a lift, revealing hidden goodies. The longest of them counts as a secret.
  4. Just west of secret 3 is a brown alcove. Step into it to be taken down to a path leading back to the narrow brown stairway from earlier.
  5. Further down the steps, the path splits into three - take the middle one. About halfway through, the floor will lower and you'll be able to go left or right into two new rooms. Go right, and step through the glowing red/blue bars. You'll be teleported to a near mirror-image of the first half of the level (this secret is necessary to complete the level).
  6. Once you've entered the second, mirrored half of the level, proceed up the stairs and the south end of the triangle-shaped triple hallways. Although the candles from the previous half of the level (from secret 2) are missing, the secret doors remain. Open the east wall at the top of the stairs to open it.
  7. Taking the hidden door a bit further down the stairs (mirroring secret 4) also counts as a secret.
  8. At the top of secret 6/7, there is a very steep stairway leading down into a cave that was not present in the previous half of the level. Follow the tunnel to the end, where you'll see a red torch. Open the slightly different-textured wall to reveal a hidden path leading back to the triangle hall.

Walkthrough:

To get out of the starting area, try going toward the exit. a door will open,and unleash a Sergeant on "I'm to young to die!". Kill it, than enter the passage he came from. Repeat four times. the fourth time, the way into the main area will open.

Secrets:

  1. In the main area (the first large room you come to), take the brown door between the gas lamps at the north end of the room. Go down the stairs, and at the bottom make a U-turn left and you'll see a second set. About halfway up, there is a differently-textured wall on the left. Open it to get a security armor and some shells.
  2. Directly across from secret 1 is a small room with a sergeant. The far wall of this room has the same texture as the door in secret 1, and also happens to be a secret door. It leads to a chaingun.
  3. Return to the bottom of the first set of stairs from secret 1, but go down a second set of stairs just to the right. In the room behind the green door with blue triangles is a wall with dark gray hexagonal tiles. Open it to get a backpack.
