Ho visto altri due film al ToHorror Film Festival per cui sposto Climax di là e lo appiccico una patetica classifica di tre film. Magari poi rimescolo tutto insieme.

Portentoso esercizio di stile quello di Cattet e Forzani, che finalmente si spostano su un genere che riesco ad apprezzare; mi tengo basso col voto ma vedrò se aggiungere un punto in un secondo momento. Un po' miserello invece quello della López, nonostante qualche spunto apprezzabile, ma almeno per il momento non mi sento di darle l'insufficienza.

Anche secondo me è stato un anno fiacco, ed ho preferito di gran lunga l'anno scorso.
Comunque deve ancora uscire un po' di roba, soprattutto gli oscar bait, che in America escono adesso, mentre in Italia escono a febbraio marzo.

Per quel che ho visto io decisamente sì, ha tutto un altro respiro. Spreme bene i propri personaggi e riesce a far coesistere coerentemente una miriade di archi e toni narrativi differenti, da questo punto di vista hanno fatto un lavoro abbastanza impressionante. E in tutto questo fila pure dritto senza perdere un colpo, si segue che è un gran piacere dall'inizio alla fine.

In realtà anche Bohemian rhapsody è quasi un senza-voto, è stata una visione falsata per diversi motivi, ha più o meno tutti i difetti che ci si sarebbe potuti aspettare ma nonostante tutto non mi sento di bocciarlo totalmente. Sarà che le aspettative erano basse basse, sarà che dopotutto la musica è bella, sinceramente non lo so. Still recording semplicemente non valutabile per quanto mi riguarda, si potrebbe arrivare a dire che non è Cinema ma il fatto è che non gli interessa esserlo, non è da lì che trae la propria forza. L'ho messo in fondo in maniera arbitraria ma tecnicamente non sarebbe proprio classificato.
Insomma una buona annata a mio modo di vedere, tanti buoni/ottimi film ma soprattutto tante piacevoli sorprese (Ducournau, Ueda, Dumont, Burger, Strickland, gli stessi Russo, Baker anche se tecnicamente l'avevo visto l'anno scorso, Corbet nonostante le forti riserve). Alcuni grandi nomi forse non mi hanno entusiasmato quanto avrei potuto sperare (i due Anderson, Kechiche, Garrone, Wiseman, Cattet/Forzani, Noè) ma fortunatamente non ci sono state vere e proprie delusioni, e anzi conservo buoni ricordi di tutti. Peccato per una Mostra di Venezia relativamente deludente ma è un discorso a parte. Insomma non ci si può lamentare dai, ora chissà cosa ci porterà l'anno nuovo.
