Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora | Hands-on previews

Breathtaking visuals. A true "next gen blockbuster" with lush flora and dense wildlife.

Very authentic to the source material; some scenes could have been ripped "straight out of the films"

It sounds like Far Cry: Avatar is an apt comparison

Big focus on jungle parkour; "a cousin of the freerunning in Mirror's Edge"

You will fight humans and mechs. Use stealth with your Na'vi bow or go in guns blazing (sounds like AI is a problem)

Mechs have weak points that can be highlighted with your Na'vi vision

There is a gathering system; you will have to continously eat to restore your health bar by picking fruits or hunting wildlife "honorably"

There are platforming puzzles and flying littered throughout the map

The Hometree will be your home base with NPCs, minigames and more

There are no dots on your HUD to guide you. You will have to rely on your Na'vi vision as well as the clues in your environment to find your way.

Many found this lack of objective markers a problem; wanted a little more "yellow paint" so to speak
