The March issue of Shueisha's Saikyō Jump magazine revealed on Friday that Kunikazu Toda (Ryūji) will launch the Captain Tsubasa: Kids Dream manga in the next issue on April 6. Captain Tsubasa manga creator Yōichi Takahashi is credited with the original work.

The official website for the upcoming new Captain Tsubasa anime announced additional cast members on Monday:
Sayuri Hara as Sanae "Anego" Nakazawa, who falls in love with Tsubasa at first sight, after he transfers into her school and she sees him play soccer

Mutsuki Iwanaka as Mamoru Izawa, one of the "Shutetsu Quartetto" and a player known for his jumping ability

Kōdai Sakai as Teppei Kisugi, one of the "Shutetsu Quartetto" and a player known for his ability to find a way to a goal

Hiroyuki Yoshino as Hajime Taki, one of the "Shutetsu Quartetto" and the "Assist King" known for his agile footwork

Tarō Kiuchi as Shingo Takasugi, one of the "Shutetsu Quartetto" and a giant player known for his power plays

The new anime also has the following cast:

Yuko Sanpei as Tsubasa Ōzora, a soccer prodigy

Kenichi Suzumura as Genzō Wakabayashi, a genius goalkeeper

Ayaka Fukuhara as Tarō Misaki, the "golden partner"

Mutsumi Tamura as Ryō Ishisaki, known for his face block

Takuya Satō as Kojirō Hyūga, a key rival

Captain Tsubasa Manga Gets New Elementary School Spinoff

The March issue of Shueisha's Grand Jump Premium magazine revealed on Tuesday that Yōichi Takahashi will launch a new spinoff of his Captain Tsubasa manga titled Captain Tsubasa Shōnen-hen (Captain Tsubasa Boyhood Arc). The manga will launch in the magazine's May issue on April 25. The spinoff will focus on Tsubasa's elementary school years.
