Previsioni di vendita JAP 5-11 Novembre 2007 (da VGC)
Wii Software – Super Mario Galaxy is the only Wii game to make the preliminary top twenty this week. Using the same extrapolation as last week (which ended up slightly high), Super Mario Galaxy sold 34,000 to 40,000 units this week. It is possible that the retailer providing this data simply sold out of the game, as there seems to be no other explanation for a drop in sales from 40k per day (in four days of release SMG sold 130,000 day one, and ended up with ~250/260k for the week) to sales of 6k per day (which is why this data is likely at least partly in error at the moment). Wii hardware should be 10-20% lower than last week, at 30,000 to 34,000 units.
PS3 Software – In the wake of the new model of PS3, four PS3 titles were in the preliminary top twenty this week. Mikuni Makoto Unrivaled 5 sold 190,000 to 230,000 units this week. A special edition of the same game sold 11,000 to 15,000 units. Ratchet and Clank sold 13,000 to 17,000 units it its debut. Lastly, a new Tom Clancy game sold 8,000 to 12,000 units. With the new hardware model (and resulting cheaper pricing) and given the software volume, PS3 hardware should be up significantly this week – to 25,000 to 40,000 units – although this is assuming the software sales are not in error for the week.
Xbox 360 Software – Two Xbox 360 titles were in the preliminary top twenty this week. The Xbox 360 version of Mikuni Makoto Unrivaled 5 sold 25,000 to 30,000 units this week. Ace Combat 6 sold an additional 6,000 to 10,000 units. Xbox 360 hardware should remain at an elevated level – 13,000 to 17,000 units for the week.
PS2 Software – Five PS2 titles were in the preliminary top twenty this week. NBA Live 08 led the way with sales of 9,000 to 12,000 units. Volleyball Worldcup sold 4,000 to 7,000 units. Super Robot Wars Commander the 2nd sold nearly the same amount as the previous title. Dragon Ball Z: Sparkling Meteor sold 3,000 to 5,000 units, while Ar Tonelico sold roughly the same number of units. PS2 hardware should remain flat at around 10,000 units.
PSP Software – Four PSP titles were in the preliminary top twenty this week. Dracula X Chronicles debuted with sales 18,000 to 22,000 in its debut. Gundam Battle Chronicle sold 7,000 to 10,000 this week. Older titles such as Monster Hunter Portable 2 and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops each sold 6,000 to 10,000 units each week. PSP hardware sales should remain at around 60,000 units this week.
DS Software – Four DS titles were in the preliminary top twenty this week. Mario Party DS debuted to sales of 160,000 to 200,000 units in the preliminary data this week. The DS version of Final Fantasy Tactics sold 25,000 to 35,000 units this week. The Trap of Murderous Intent sold 10,000 to 14,000 units, while a new Tamagotchi title sold 7,000 to 11,000 units this week. DS hardware sales should remain at around 80,000 units.
