ATLUS sa come ci si comporta con gli spoileratori seriali :darth:

Before the release of Catherine in Japan, Atlus warned that "all gamers who share spoilers about Catherine will have nightmares and die".

Animal Friends, dove siete?

15249.png

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Within the game's data are early portraits depicting each of the game's protagonists and the Animal Friends, the latter of whom don't appear in the final release outside of cameos as Stone + Cutter Kirby's forms. Pre-release screenshots show these and similar portraits appearing in the game's HUD, not only corroborating earlier indications that Waddle Dee, King Dedede, Adeleine, and Ribbon were playable at an earlier point in development, but also indicating that the Animal Friends were planned to play a proper role at one point.

Cameo ben nascosto :sottosotto:

jlCN2ms.jpeg

If the Player backtracks at a certain point in level 4-3, The Amiss Abyss level, and waits a while they can see a one of the eponymous creatures of the Metroid Franchise floating in the background in silhouette. This is true in both the Wii U and Nintendo Switch versions of the game

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

In the opening cutscene of the game, the story tells that a "tiny Picori appeared from the sky, bringing the hero of men a sword and a golden light". According the the official Legend of Zelda timeline, The Minish Cap is the second game chronologically, taking place only after the events of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This might suggest that the Picori is the incarnation of Link from Skyward Sword, bringing the master sword down from Skyloft. In addition, the man brandishing the sword in the mural that is depicted as the text displays appears to be some incarnation of Link.

La parte delle differenze con la seguente release: Out of this World non la ricordavo. (dal minuto 7).
Guardate tutto il video dall'inizio però, che fa rivivere questo capolavoro senza tempo.

Bite on impact

XECd1bf.jpeg

According to Super Mario Bros. Wonder's art director Masanobu Sato, Shigeru Miyamoto reportedly explained during the development of the first Super Mario Bros. that the reason why Goombas damage Mario when walking into them is because they bite Mario on impact. Due to graphical and hardware limitations, this could not be shown at the time. However, while Super Mario Bros. Wonder is thought to be the first game in the mainline series that shows this detail in gameplay, it's not the first game in the overall franchise to show it, as Goombas had been seen biting in earlier spin-off games like Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

Yoshi e... Obelix:

3772.png

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

The enemy "Burt the Bashful" looks like Obelix from "Asterix". This was referenced in other language versions of the game. The boss's name in the French version of the game is 'Belixo', an anagram of Obelix. In the German version of the game the boss's name is Xilebo, Obelix spelled backwards.

Pink Floyd:

140.png

Donkey Kong Land

Within the game's coding is a string under the name "PFLOYD" that maintains the integrity of the game's save files. This string appears in the English and Japanese ROMS under the offset 6F7A and needs to be present at AA00, AA40, and AA80 in RAM (along with two checksums) in order for save files to remain functional; if the string is not present in one of these RAM files, the corresponding save file will be wiped, even if the two checksums are cleared.

The name of the string, "PFLOYD", appears to be a reference to the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd, who was active from 1965 to 1996, disbanding just a year after Donkey Kong Land's release.

Obiettivo raggiunto :gogogo:

In a developer interview, Shigeru Miyamoto stated that the game was meant to inspire the sense of adventure that Indiana Jones and adventure movies, which were popular at the time, inspired in their viewers.

Localization quirk :morty:

6MsaXwg.png

The English manual for Star Fox infamously states that the Lylat System is located "near the center of the Milky Way galaxy". However, this appears to be a localization quirk on Nintendo of America's part, as the original Japanese manual states that Lylat is located simply "near the center of a vast galaxy".

Leggasi "beware" :shrek:

vT7iuVT.png

Before the torture sequence, if the player had no saved often during play, Ocelot will comment on it by remarking that they would have to "travel down that long road again" and telling him to just "give up now" in order to avoid getting killed.

Leggasi "beware" :shrek:

1276.png

Bravely Default

The novelty of Defaulting and Braving came from idea that whenever bosses in Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy got to do two different attacks in the same turn. It had always annoyed director Kensuke Nakahara and the team was discussing something in the battles that would be simple yet provide a chance for deeper strategy, such as the 'charge' command in the Dragon Quest series.

Pochi attori, tanti personaggi :pokidance:
OFZ9pqO.jpeg

Barring Isha, the entire Japanese cast from the PS2 version voiced at least two characters each. Special mention goes to Hiroki Takahashi, as two of his roles, Geis and Ord, have a scene where they talk to one another.
