Ninja Gaiden II

In Chapter 4: A Captive Goddess, there is a room with some boards on one of the walls. If you slash at the boards, they will fall to reveal a DirectXbox, which is the original design for the Xbox.

Genesi del titolo.

Originariamente doveva intitolarsi Blade Gunner, in omaggio a Blade Runner, o Lunatic Gunstar, ma dietro richiesta di SEGA venne rimosso l'aggettivo lunatic considerato negativo, in favore del termine positivo heroes.

"Reasons"
DUgUi7n.jpeg

The reason why the PlayStation 3 version wasn't released outside Japan until 2019 was because of how difficult it was to release the Xbox 360 version in all major territories simultaneously. In Hideo Baba's own words:

"Tales of Vesperia was the first title in the series which was planned to be released simultaneously in Japan, North America and Europe. This was very difficult, and it was such a heavy burden for the team. So for the PS3 version, it was decided to reduce this burden and to develop it just for Japan."

Un simpatico glitch:

Crash Team Racing

A glitch in the PAL version of the game allows the player to back out of the language selection screen using the triangle button, causing no language to be selected. This turns most text into a series of slashes and hyphens.

This glitch, for some reason, also causes a number of the bosses heads (except for Ripper Roo), to be switched.

• Komodo Joe will have Oxide's head.
• Papu Papu will have Pinstripe's head.
• Pinstripe will have Komodo Joe's head.
• Oxide has will have Papu's head.

Livelli riciclati ma ampliati, più extra

Battlemaniacs uses many of the same stage themes as the NES game, though with obvious improvements in audio and visual effects. There are only six levels, but their size and length are increased to help compensate. There are also two bonus levels and a final stage against the Dark Queen.

Ys SEVEN is the first game to feature party members, attack attribute and EXTRA gauge system. The game's title may be a reference to it featuring seven main playable characters.

Le ragioni del salto automatico:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

While Link being able to manually jump either on his own like in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link or through the use of an item like the Roc's Feather from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a recurring ability in the series, several 3D installments forgo this in favor of having Link jump automatically at the edge of a platform. There are conflicting claims by series producer Eiji Aounuma and series co-creator Shigeru Miyamoto as to who thought of the automatic jump during the development of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and why. Aonuma claimed the autojump was directly inspired by the Roc's Feather and he had it implemented due to his own poor ability at playing platform games, wishing that the game could do the jumping for him. Miyamoto on the other hand claimed that he had thought of the autojump one morning and sprung it on the development team, who were planning to add a manual jump and were previously used to making Mario games, as an intentional limitation to see if they could "do all kinds of things." Manual jumping would be incorporated into a 3D Zelda game for the first time with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The game contains unused hidden abilities for certain Pokemon. They include a Zapdos with Lighting Rod, the Snivy family with the ability Contrary, and a Chandelure with Shadow Tag.

Secret of Mana

Hitting the totem poles placed throughout the Upperland forest with the sword will cause them to stick their tongues out. Hitting them again will make them put their tongues away again.

According to early background information Archives 03 and Liminality Easter Eggs, Innis was a program designed to collect data on human reactions to deceit.

Background diverso

The boss battle background from Fight Night with Flibby is different between the PlayStation and Saturn versions. In the PlayStation version the background is the same as the rest of the level. In the Saturn version, the castle background from the later levels can be seen.

American Bug:

Pandora's Tower

In the North American version of Pandora's Tower, there is a bug that freezes the game if you try to access the 11th and 12th towers once the 13th tower opens. Strangely, this bug is only found in the North American version of the game, and hasn't been found in the European, Japanese or Australian versions.

Paradosso temporale:

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

The Goron Vase in Oracle of Ages is an anomaly in time. It's given to Link by the Goron guard in the present after Link gives him the Rock Brisket. Link then gives the vase to the Goron guard's ancestor in the past, in exchange for a Goronade, for it to become a Family heirloom, which appears to create a paradox.

Controller dedicato

NrgWLnE.jpeg

In Japan there was a special controller designed specifically for this game that was meant to look more like the "real thing", with two joysticks with buttons for that extra special "construction worker feeling". This special edition of the game was called "Power Shovel: Genba Set".

Dragon Warrior III

In the Game Boy Color version of the game, the game's files contain Monster Medal graphics for all the monsters of Dragon Warrior IV. These cannot be seen normally, and why they're in the data is not known.

Only scrapped

The only known concept art from the original scrapped version of the game is of "Plant Thing", a green deformed zombie-like creature. The sentence "Mother of 'kids'" is written next to it.

Super Mario Bros 5:

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

The game was originally intended to be the fifth installment of the Super Mario Bros. series, with two leaked prototypes from December 1994 featuring a title screen with the logo Super Mario Bros. 5: Yoshi's Island. Come the final release, and the prefix would be shortened to Super Mario. This explains why the international release was titled Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, as the original Super Mario World was subtitled Super Mario Bros. 4 in Japan.

Additionally, the later of the two prototypes features a radically different design for the logo, using a much sleeker and blockier font. The final release would revert to the earlier logo, barring the aforementioned truncated prefix.
