Not a joke anymore

In 2016, an American livestreamer discovered that the boss of the Forbidden Woods, Kalle Demos, could be killed in one hit by pouring a bottle of Forest Water (found in the Forest Haven) onto its exposed flower head, after a user in her chat jokingly suggested using the Forest Water to water the plant monster. While this trick was discovered while playing the Wii U remaster, the secret was also confirmed to exist in the original GameCube release.

Port

A Nintendo DS port was released, and the game was later remade as Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY! for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

New Features

Chrono Stone offers several new gameplay aspects. "Armourfying" turns an Fighting Spirit into wearable amour, which gives the player full control of the avatar's offensive and defensive power. Completely new to Chrono Stone is Mixi-Max, which allows two characters to transfer their auras between each other. When activated, Mixi-Max transforms the player into a "hybrid" of themselves and their Mixi-Max partner, allowing them to utilise their partner's power.

Puyo Puyo

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is a modified reskin of the Japan-exclusive Sega Mega Drive version of Puyo Puyo. The first training levels of Puyo Puyo were removed from Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, but they can be put back in through hacking. If this is done, the Puyo Puyo characters Skeleton T., Nasu Grave, and Mummy are replaced by a character that has the intro of Coconuts with the mugshot of Scratch.

Like its predecessor, the English version was re-branded as a Final Fantasy title due to the series' popularity in the Western territories.

Rigiocabilità

Depending on if you choose between Mickey, Donald, or both through 2-player co-op, the second section of each stage will be different. For example, in Stage 1, if you choose Mickey or Donald, the second section will be themed around giant flowers and beanstalks with a slightly different map design between the Mickey and Donald playthroughs, but if you choose co-op, you will instead be taken to an underground stage set in a mine.

Multiple early "black box" NES releases' cartridges produced during the console's US launch in Winter 1985 didn't use NES ROM chips, but rather Famicom ROM chips with a built-in converter. The 15 NES launch titles, and the only games known to have these chips, are:

Additional Content

Dark Cloud was first released in Japan on December 14, 2000. It was localized in English and released in North America and Europe the following year and was touted by Sony as being 30% larger than the original Japanese release. The additional content included an updated battle system, extra weapons and monsters, improved AI, additional Duel battles, and a 100-floor post-game dungeon exclusive to the English-language release called the "Demon Shaft".

In the Japanese Version of the game, once registered through the Pokemon Mobile System GB, players can purchase a service called the Trade Corner. This service allows them to link with other players via a mobile phone to trade Pokemon.

It was revealed that what looks like a Mega Man Starforce costume, seen from a picture taken by Game Informer, was only a placeholder costume for when Mega Man equipped Tundra Storm's weapon during development.

Tetris was the first video game to be played in space. The game (and the Game Boy it was played on) spent 196 days on board the Mir Space Station in 1993, and orbited the earth more than 3,000 times. The game and system were auctioned off in 1996 for $1,220.

This is the only Battle Network game that still has cursing in its localized translations. This includes words like damn, hell, and crap. There is also a scene early on in the game where Yai shamelessly remarks about Lan seeing her naked. Interestingly, the ESRB still gave the game an "E for everyone" rating, and they didn't even give it a "Mild Language" descriptor; it just has "Comic Mischief".

Tante piccole differenze

Star Force 2 has various regional differences. The Japanese version features a few lines of voice acting, and contains a "profile" section on the My Page screen, which allows the player to enter personal information, such as favorite food and favorite TV show. There is also an ability called "HumorWrd" which is similar to the Humor program from the Battle Network games. This was removed from international versions most likely because many of the jokes are related to the removed Profile section.

Completing all the stunts and passing through all the rings in a Stunt-mode run of Dolphin Park will cause some dolphin noises to play as the player crosses the finish line, and all the characters on the title screen will then be riding dolphins. This will also enable the player to ride a dolphin in Dolphin Park in the the Normal difficulty Championship mode, by holding Down on the D-Pad or Control Stick while selecting a rider.
