chi vivrà vedrà, se farà schifo almeno hanno fatto bene a non progettare mai un film di halo, ma visto come erano usciti bene i live action di halo fino adesso.

 
Niente World of Warcraft per Raimi:

Cosa farà Sam Raimi dopo Il grande e potente Oz? Un po' presto per dirlo dato che il film uscirà il prossimo marzo, ma prima ancora che accettasse la regia del kolossal Disney c'erano due progetti cui era legato: un nuovo adattamento di The Shadow (l'Uomo Ombra) e la trasposizione cinematografica del celebre MMORPG World of Warcraft, i cui diritti sono stati acquistati dalla Warner. Ebbene, Raimi li ha abbandonati entrambi. Al recente Comic-Con, il regista ha infatti dichiarato che per The Shadow non riusciva a trovare una sceneggiatura che lo soddisfacesse, mentre per World of Warcraft la produzione aveva bisogno della sua disponibilità a breve termine, impossibile da garantire in seguito all'impegno preso con la Disney.

Lo apprendiamo da Crave On-line tramite Collider.

In realtà la Warner non sembra essersi messa alla ricerca di altri registi: da tempo non ci sono novità legate a World of Warcraft, e il progetto è chiaramente in stallo.

Circa The Shadow, ricordiamo che Raimi tentò di portarlo al cinema già nei primi anni Novanta, ma non riuscì a ottenerne i diritti e così decise di creare un personaggio originale: il risultato fu quel gioiellino di Darkman.

Capcom has announced an official Street Fighter live action series to debut in 2013.

Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist will tell the origin story of Ryu and Ken as they are training in Japan. The pair are the last practitioners of the fighting style known as 'Ansatsuken' (Assassin's Fist). They learn about their master, Gouken, and the secret of the Ansatsuken style. Here's betting Akuma pops up at some point to ruin everyone's day.

It's being made by the people behind Street Fighter: Legacy, the fan film that has had over eight million views on YouTube.

Joey Ansah, who is heading the project, said: "Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist will be what fans have been waiting for. Legacy was a taster; a glimpse of what a live-action Street Fighter should be.

"This takes the story right back to the start - the origins and motivations of Ryu, Ken, Gouken and Akuma. This will become the definitive back-story from which further epic adventures will follow."

Christian Howard, who starred as Ken in Legacy, co-wrote the script. He added: "Our priority is to stay true to the appearance, fighting techniques and canon of the Street Fighter game. At the same time we've managed to make this an emotion and character driven story, which will surprise viewers who might just be expecting a super faithful fight fest!"

Ma qui nessuno se lo è mai visto Captain N, il cartone americano praticamente pubblicizzatore dei giochi Nintendo più celebri in passato, solo in inglese, poi seguito da un fumetto di qualità nettamente superiore? Quello è un vero e proprio piacere brutto da gustare.

We could get excited about a Dishonored movie if its trailer was as rousing as this fake.

Even Dishonored creative director Harvey Smith liked it. "This Dishonored movie trailer makes me [love] the internet," he tweeted.

This fake Dishonored movie trailer was made by the ominously-named YouTube user Bloodrunsclear.

It's a montage of clips plundered from various films. Was that a bit of V for Vendetta we saw? Did we spot Perfume: The Story of a Murderer?

The adroitly stitched together trailer convincingly captured the dark mood and period setting of Dishonored, as well as the story of revenge.

Dishonored, remember, follows the story of a supernatural assassin who is wrongly accused of the Empress' death.
