Rockstar won't be in a position to show more GTA 5 footage 'for a while yet':

Rockstar may have brightened up this afternoon with two new Grand Theft Auto 5 screens, but don't expect to be seeing a new trailer any time soon.

As part of a newly published Q&A on its official site, the studio explained the lack of news about the game and the asset blackout that has followed GTA 5's reveal trailer last November.

"We are very busy working on the game! Everything is going well, but the game is a huge project. We should have more information and some new assets for you soon.

"As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don't do this because we 'don't care about our fans' 'don't respect our fans' 'hate GTA fans etc' - precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it.

"The only things we care about are that you enjoy the experience of actually playing the game and that we release accurate information. We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet.

"We will try and get some more screens for you soon and then another trailer when we are ready."

Rockstar Strongly Hint That Planes Will Bee In And Flyable In GTA IV:

You’ll have seen the two new screenshots of GTA V, and whilst one of them showed a helicopter, it’s in the text of Rockstar’s Newswire article that planes have been all but confirmed.

“The city was simply too small for effective and enjoyable flying,” says the publisher when asked why planes weren’t in GTA IV.

“It was the first time we made a high definition open world, and it was a massive amount of work to make something on that scale – we simply could not make an environment big enough for planes to work properly.”

“Fear not, they are returning in what is our biggest open world game to date.”

That ‘biggest open world game’ has to be GTA V.

They also comment on all the fakes and rumours. ”All the way up until game launch (and probably beyond) there is going to be no shortage of non-stop hoaxes, faked footage and screens, rampant rumors and speculation,” said Rockstar.

“As a rule, we are not going to get into the game of confirming or denying each of these as they happen as there is simply too much of it. Half of them we don’t even understand.”

“One thing we’ll say definitively though is – there is absolutely no ‘beta’ test for the game. If you see ads or solicitations to join a beta program, beware as this could be a dodgy online phishing scam.”

La Liberty City di GTA 3 è ispirata ad una serie di città della East Coast e del mid-west come New York, Filadelfia, Detroit, Baltimora, ecc. - ma senza rappresentarne una in particolare. Con Vice City abbiamo iniziato a sperimentare riguardo città che rappresentasserò più in modo diretto parodie o riferimenti a luoghi. Per quanto riguarda la Liberty City di GTA IV, abbiamo voluto realizzare una visione digitale in alta definizione e incredibilmente dettagliata di New York (ma sempre dando quel "tocco" Rockstar), un qualcosa di nuovo che non avevamo mai realizzato prima e che pensavamo potesse rivelarsi interessante.

Come detto prima, spesso abbiamo lasciato lunghi intervalli tra il rilascio di informazioni e materiale durante i precedenti titoli e continueremo a farlo in futuro. Siamo spiacenti se considerate tutto ciò frustrante, ma siate comprensivi, non lo facciamo perchè "non ci importa dei nostri fans", "non rispettiamo i nostri fans", "odiamo i fans di GTA" eccetera, ma precisamente l'opposto! Lo facciamo perchè vogliamo essere sicuri di rilasciare informazioni corrette al 100% e perchè vogliamo mantenere riserbo su determinate cose relative al gioco, in modo che vi siano molte sorprese quando lo giocherete. Le uniche cose a cui teniamo riguardano il fatto che possiate godere dell'esperienza di gioco e il rilascio di informazioni accurate.

Non siamo stati nella posizione di mostrarvi di più riguardo al gioco rispetto al trailer e non lo saremo ancora per un po'. Siamo riusciti comunque ad anticiparvi due screenshots.. non è molto, ma abbiamo pensato che sarebbe stato divertente.

Cercheremo di rilasciare altre immagini, quindi un altro trailer quando saremo pronti.

Dal momento in cui abbiamo annunciato GTA V sino all'uscita del gioco (e probabilmente anche oltre) vi saranno falsi allarmi, materiale fake, rumours e speculazioni. Come sempre, non entreremo nel gioco di confermare o smentire a riguardo. Invece, lasceremo ai fans come vuoi la decisione di cosa sia legittimo e di cosa sia falso. Ricordate che se non lo sentite qui, si tratta molto probabilmente di fakes o comunque di notizie che potrebbero non essere completamente vere. Una cosa che possiamo definitivamente smentire è che non vi è assolutamente una "beta test" per GTA 5. Se notate pubblicità o sollecitazioni a partecipare ad un programma di beta version, fate attenzione in quanto potrebbe rivelarsi un tentativo di phishing. La cosa migliore da fare è di considerare un'informazione come ufficiale se la vedete annunciata qui sul Rockstar Newswire.

La città era semplicemente troppo piccola per un volo effettivo e piacevole. E' stata la prima volta che abbiamo realizzato un open world in alta definizione, con una quantità di lavoro davvero enorme per rendere il tutto della giusta scala - semplicemente non abbiamo potuto realizzare un ambiente grande abbastaza per far sì che gli aerei potessero funzionare correttamente. Non abbiate paura, ritorneranno in quello che sinora è il nostro più grande gioco open world.

per la grandezza della mappa sono contento, il fatto e che gta 4 era il loro esperimento e primo passo verso i giochi next (attuale) gen, infatti la qualità e la grandezza della mappa è aumentata con RDR, figurati il prossimo GTA5
