South Park, Metro: Last Light, Company of Heroes 2 delayed:

South Park: The Stick of Truth, THQ’s Obsidian-developed RPG based on the hit Comedy Central TV series, has been delayed to fiscal 2014, the publisher has announced. It was previously slated for March 5, 2013.

“I believe South Park’s market opportunity is significant,” said THQ president Jason Rubin. “It is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated titles of calendar 2013. It is also an expansive title, encompassing multiple television seasons’ worth of content.

“We have been working closely with the co-creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, to make sure all of the game’s content performs to the high standards of the TV show, and this takes time. THQ is committed to giving gamers no less than the rich South Park game they have been waiting for and deserve.”

Metro: Last Light and Company of Heroes 2, both initially set for March, will also ship later than planned.

“We are also inspired by the potential for Metro: Last Light and Company of Heroes 2,” said Rubin. “I believe Metro: Last Light is a title that should set standards for visuals with its stunning atmosphere, unique location and cutting-edge style.

“Company of Heroes was one of the highest rated RTS titles in history, and Relic insists that the sequel live up to its pedigree. Giving both of these titles time to reach their full potential is the right thing to do for the products.”

Rubin continued, “THQ is excited about our position and pipeline of games beyond fiscal 2013, including the sequel for Saints Row: The Third, Homefront 2 and the as-yet-unannounced game from Turtle Rock Studios.

L'avvistamento di giochi non ancora annunciati, o dei quali si sono perse le tracce, sui registri di Steam è una prassi ricorrente che spesso svela notizie inattese. E' questo il secondo caso: i profili di Prey 2 e Homefront 2 sono stati aggiornati su Steam in data 4 maggio. I due titoli, accomunati in parte dal genere d'appartenenza comune (FPS) e da un destino sin qui incerto, sono quindi apparsi in via ufficiale tra le pieghe di codice della piattaforma digital delivery di Valve.

A me sembra fake, comunque personalmente un Homefront 2 lo aspetto con molta curiosità, tecnicamente il primo era osceno, la campagna faceva schifo però online aveva degli spunti molto interessanti: la mappe erano ampie e offrivano diverse possibilità al giocatore su come conquistare gli obiettivi. Homefront curato meglio poteva essere una valida alternativa a Cod e BF perchè era un gioco con della personalità, ma sfruttata molto poco.

A me sembra fake, comunque personalmente un Homefront 2 lo aspetto con molta curiosità, tecnicamente il primo era osceno, la campagna faceva schifo però online aveva degli spunti molto interessanti: la mappe erano ampie e offrivano diverse possibilità al giocatore su come conquistare gli obiettivi. Homefront curato meglio poteva essere una valida alternativa a Cod e BF perchè era un gioco con della personalità, ma sfruttata molto poco.

Anche nella Campagna aveva degli spunti enormi non sfruttati, dalla trama all'ambientazione e tutto ciò che da esso deriva diciamo :sasa:

In un'intervista recentemente rilasciata il general manager di Crytek Nick Button-Brown ha dichiarato che il team con sede a Nottingham noto come Crytek UK sta facendo grandi passi avanti nello sviluppo del nuovo Homefront 2. Questo team, che in precedenza si era occupato della gestione delle modalità multiplayer di Crysis 2 e Crysis 3, punta a reinventare e innovare profondamente questo frnchise con la creazione di questo nuovo titolo in cui un gruppo di combattenti per la libertà affronterà l'esercito coreano che ha occupato il Nord America.

Molto curioso, purtroppo la campagna del primo Homefront era abbastanza scandalosa mentre il multyplayer era davvero interessante: mappe grandi, edifici scalabili dall'interno, veicoli e velivoli. Secondo me fatto come si deve non dico che potrà dettare legge, ma potrebbe diventare una nuova sorpresa nel competitive online.
