During a keynote at BitSummit in Kyoto, PlatinumGames Producer Atsushi Inaba
Inaba-san teased the existence of a “formless, shapeless IP” that he can’t talk about today. Interestingly, he also mentioned that on top of the new IP, it’s also going to involve a new director, and it’s going to be interesting to see how that new director will grow, and how he will help PlatinumGames grow as a company as well.
Inaba-san added that he doesn’t know if the studio will keep up the pace of one title per year, but they’re looking forward to make new games for the fans. He also teased new information coming between now and the next time he’ll have a similar talk, and he’d like the fans to look forward to it.
This actually isn’t the first time that Inaba-san talks about PlatinumGames creating its own IP. At Last year’s edition of BitSummit he actually talked at length abut the fact that the studio dreamt to own its own IP, and apparently that plan is now in motion.
Unfortunately, no further information was provided about the nature of this mysterious new IP, so we’ll have to wait for more news coming down the line.

Dissero di volerlo fare un giorno, chissà
Fa sempre piacere leggere una frase come l'ultima parteCEO of Level-5, Akihiro Hino, talked with Nikkei Trendy about his personal experiences with the Nintendo Switch and at the very end states that the company is working on games that support the Nintendo Switch. You can check out the excerpt below.
Hino:“I think Switch is good. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is extremely fun. It’s almost dangerous. (Laughs.) Actually, playing with Switch myself, my impression [of the system] has changed a lot from when it was still in development. I was hesitant about its ‘play both inside and outside’ style, but I feel like there is a considerable potential there.
“Anyway, Zelda is a lot of fun, so I personally carry it around and play it as much as I can, even on airplanes. The model that Nintendo gave me is the one with the red- and blue-colored controllers, so when I carried it around a lot, the looks I got made me self-conscious. I bought the black controller that they released myself and attached it. (Laughs.)
“I think the Style of Switch is a wonderful fit for competitive games. You can play if you’re gathered in real life, as well as online. For example, I think the fact that the game lovers within a company can get together and play Mario Kart is really fascinating and interesting. And while I can’t say the content quite yet, we’re working on game(s)* that support [switch].”
Ma non potevano rimanere nel dimenticatoio nel quale erano giustamente caduti?
Oh boy
