Da quello che ci leggo io, se non gli fanno prendere ABK si fiondano su qualcun altro con presenza mobile. Tipo Sega che ha appena preso Rovio
 
Interessante che siamo passati da una notizia al giorno al silenzio assoluto da parte dei diretti interessati. Tanto fra 33 giorni sarà tutto finito e vedremo quale sarà la prossima acquisizione di MS, se non compra ATI.

Ci pensavo anche io. Siamo passati dal trend topic del gaming al... Boh...

Leggevo che l'UE dovrebbe dare di nuovo l'ok settimana prossima... Sostanizialmente una conferma che "il cambio di accordo non necessita nuove indagini" (e questo è bene).
Lo UK ha i suoi tempi e va be', si attende (mi pare che per Ottobre sia anche la loro deadline, ma dovrei ricontrollare).
L'FTC continua la sua battaglia in Appello (con risultati abbastanza risibili), mentre gli sono arrivate migliaia (o forse milioni) di notifiche da studi che si dicono favorevoli all'acquisizione.

Penso e spero che per Ottobre si possa finire, perché adesso sta diventando inutilmente prolissa la cosa.
Una soluzione si è trovata, e il Cloud ora è tutelato (pure troppo...).
 
Sembra che qualcosa si stia muovendo, per me già domani sentiremo di più o addirittura ci può essere LA svolta.
 


The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is expected to issue a preliminary decision on Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal next week, a source familiar with the situation tells The Verge. It follows Microsoft restructuring its deal — after the CMA blocked it over cloud gaming concerns — to transfer cloud gaming rights for current and new Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft.

This preliminary decision will then be followed by a final one, due by October 18th.

Linee Guida del Nuovo Accordo
  • Delivery of Activision Games - sublicensing the cloud streaming rights and tech material/documentation for those rights
  • Licences to MS - purchaser can't sell the rights back to MS exclusively
  • No Interference with Purchaser’s Cloud Streaming Rights - MS can't impact Ubisoft rights
  • Trademark License - purchaser gets a royalty and non-exclusive sublicensable trademark rights
  • Game Technical Support, Game Ports and Technical Work, and Platform Work - purchaser can request ports and ms can charge purchaser
  • Development and Release Date Parity - purchaser needs to have the ports/streaming versions ahead of commercial launch including dlc
  • Sale of Purchaser’s Cloud Streaming Rights for Activision Games and Related DLC by Purchaser
  • Audit Rights- purchaser can audit MS once a year to verify compliance
  • Marketing - parties should make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure license or rights cover the use of marketing materials from the purchaser
  • Terms and Termination - the party can't terminate the deal due to any breach by the purchaser
  • 5 days to propose a trustee on closes and MS will pay for it
  • MS can't buy % or all of Ubisoft for 10 years
  • CMA can extend the time periods in the undertakings ??? " The CMA may, in response to a written request from the Parties, or otherwise at its own discretion, grant an extension to any time period referred to in these undertakings."

Non ho più seguito, ma l'FTC con la corte d'appello? Perchè so che non avevano ritirato la causa, ma non mi pare di aver sentito date di eventuali processi...

Al momento tutto tace, la richiesta di appello presso il Nono Circuito è ancora aperta.
Vedremo se da Ottobre (post approvazione della CMA, e chiusura dell'accordo) la manterranno o desisteranno. Punterei sulla seconda.
 
Ci stavamo dimenticando della cosa più importante:

silverchariot da Ottobre (probabilmente) potrai giocare Diablo IV sul Pass.

Era ora cavolo! E secondo me fa pure bene al gioco, col casino che hanno fatto lo stanno mollando tt, magari sul pass si ripiglia
