Splinter Cell: Blacklist game director now at Warner Bros. Montreal




Patrick Redding has left Ubisoft for Warner Bros. Montreal, where he’s working on an unannounced project.
As spotted by Superannuation, Redding has updated his LinkedIn profile to reflect his job change, which happened sometime this month.

Redding’s new role is as creative director on an unannounced project. Warner Bros. Montreal most recently produced Batman: Arkham Origins, and there’s been no hint as to what it’s got on its plate now.

Unannounced AAA Game for PS4 and Xbox One In Development at Batman: Arkham Origins’ Studio:

While the Batman: Arkham franchise has gone back to Rocksteady Studios, looks like the cogs are spinning at Batman: Arkham Origins developer Warner Bros. Games Montréal, in the form of a new game for PS4 and Xbox one, as explicitly revealed by the resume of Audio Designer Dustin Reid.

Mentions of an unannounced AAA game are also present in several profiles of other Warner Bros. Games Montréal developers, and Batman: Arkham Origins Lead Game Designer Pierre-Luc Foisy mentions:

Now working on a new AAA project that is just starting. Currently lead the Design team and help starting some prototypes.

If the Linkedin profiles are any indication, it seems that Warner Bros. Games Montréal has placed a large percentage of the staff of Batman: Arkham Origins at work on this new game, even if nothing else is known about it.

Batman: Arkham Origins Dev Hiring For New Open-World IP

Warner Bros. Montreal, the studio behind Batman: Arkham Origins, is hiring developers to work on an open-world game based on a new intellectual property. The studio's job page features listings for numerous roles, some of which make vague references to its next project.
The job description for a game designer states the studio is looking for someone "responsible for designing and driving development of specific features or systems for an open-world action game."

The technical director spec, meanwhile, states the successful candidate will join the development team "working on a new IP project for next generation platforms."

Digging deeper into the technical director role, using the "scripting languages and design tools of the Unreal Engine" is listed as one of the job responsibilities, suggesting the unannounced game will be powered by Epic's game engine.

Onestamente speravo in un Origins 2, ma anche un gioco su Superman non sarebbe male. Hype moderato ma pronto a scoppiare :morris82:

A me stava sulle balle Batman, ma con gli Arkham ho apprezzato tutto il suo universo e ho iniziato ad apprezzare molti personaggi DC in genere.
