The game mixes stealth with free running using similar mechanics found in Amnesia and Mirror’s Edge. There are no weapons to be found in the game, so running and hiding are really your only options for evading the monsters that are found in the asylum.

Quindi non troveremo nessuna arma durante il gioco, bisognerà solo correre e nascondersi, ottimo

How long is it?


According to Red Barrels and the most recent set of playtesters for the game, it will last about 5 hours. The development team told us, “Our most recent playtests show that the fastest players can get through the game in about 5 hours, but the time varies a lot based on how stealthy you are trying to be, how long you have to hide if an enemy is looking for you, other things like that.” With how scary the game is supposed to be, we’d guess that 5 hours is surely long enough. Considering that Outlast in an indie developed title with a price point that we assume will be in the $15-20 range, 5 hours is actually pretty good.

Outlast is coming to PC later this year and in 2014 for the PlayStation 4. Given the fact that Sony have been really pushing for indies on their next generation console, we asked why the game is not coming on the Xbox One.


‘Sony was the one to reach out to us. They were very proactive. They sent us a dev kit and invited us to E3,” said Philippe.

 


“The PS4 version of Outlast will come out early 2014, so we will focus on it after we launch on PC this summer. The PS4 has exciting features, but at this point we can’t commit for sure about anything specific,” he said.


One of the strongest parts of the PS4 is its super fast 8GB of GDDR5 RAM and Outlast developers will surely be taking advantage of the same.


“Development on the PS4 is still early, but I’m sure we’ll be taking advantage of the RAM available,” he added.

Purtroppo non digerisco la prospettiva da telecamera...se fosse stato in prima persona e basta per me sarebbe stato meglio visto che mi sembra un po' da ritardati fuggire dai mostri con una mano occupata a riprenderli.

Fatto questo appunto l'atmosfera mi sembra da 10 così come la tensione e l'ansia che si toccano con le dita come non mi succedeva da tempo. Posso solo che gioire di fronte a titoli del genere
