VGC has heard from multiple sources that Ape Escape isn't the only PlayStation franchise Sony is looking to revive via licensing to smaller third-party studios.

Se ogni GoW e IG fai un Helldivers2 e un FF14 (primo nome third che mi è venuto in mente) nessuno ha da ridire. Se tieni ND per 3.5 anni su Factions che manco esce, e nel mentre la tua vetrina pubblica è Dollaro e Flopcord allora sì c'è un problema.

La strategia di cercare un gaas di successo non è sbagliata e non comprensibile alla base, il punto sta tutto nel fatto che Sony l’ha attuata in maniera immonda.
 
 
Si ma allora tanto vale spendere 500 milioni per Destiny 3 che fare 2-3 gaas che arrivano a sta cifra e vederli floppare.
 
da un lato posso capire la difficoltà che hanno tra prezzi dei componenti ecc ma spero almeno sta cosa dei gaas sia più moderata.Cioè se su 10 giochi 2 sono gaas ancora posso capire ma se continuano come han fatto gli ultimi anni allora ciaone eh :asd:
 
Io coi soldi dei gaas investirei sulle console, perdessero mezzo miliardo per farcele pagare meno e rientrano coi giochi dopo pochi anni. Basterebbe la versione PS6 di GTA ed è fatta lol

Io comunque resto curioso di capire che vogliono fare con Bungie.
Se puntarci un'ultima volta(ma ciò significa sganciare altri milioni) oppure farla finita.

Quest'anno non c'è stato il Business Segment Meeting pubblico che di norma si tiene a Giugno ma hanno fatto uno Small Meeting dedicato alla divisione Gaming a quanto pare.

Letto tutto.

In breve (è comunque un'insalata di parole per azionisti, quindi prendetela come tale):
  • Stanno vendendo in linea con le previsioni.
  • Non vogliono vendere troppo in perita, da qui gli aumenti.
  • I Live Service continuano a fornire un flusso di cassa "stabile".
  • Continuano ad impegnarsi ad "almeno un tentpole single player" all'anno per la Holiday Season.
  • Vogliono stupire con titoli First inattesi (cita UD2).
  • Continua la strategia mista dei First interni ed esterni.
  • Portal è un grosso successo, la richiesta è alta in EU, USA e JP. Picchi dei server durante il Natale.
  • 125M di MAU tra PS4 e PS5 e prevedono che continueranno a monetizzarlo anche durante la transizione a PS6.
  • Il MAU non verrà più notificato, il focus ora è sulla profittabilità non sul numero di utenti attivi (rimane un dato rilevante internamente).
  • Vogliono espandere l'esperienza Cloud ma senza pregiudicare la qualità.
  • Sanno di non essere più l'unica "esperienza da salotto" (la domanda verteva sulla perdita di utenti col PC): vogliono che PS6 non offra solo un'evoluzione lato tech, ma una espansione degli usi permettendo una esperienza seamless godibile al di fuori del salotto.
  • L'IA la usano per la gestione aziendale e il controllo delle transazioni (aiuto!), e per "potenziare" il lato creativo senza sacrificare i creativi (aiuto!). Non è per ottimizzare i tempi, ma per potenziare la qualità (aiuto!).
  • Per i prossimi 5 anni il focus sarà sulla base installata Console (da cui traggono il grosso delle revenue grazie alla monetizzazione dei third), continuano a valutare l'espansione fuori Console (PC e Mobile), e c'è una concertazione fra gli Studi e la divisione Hardware su cosa fare (i live service, ribadisce, ha senso siano su più piattaforme). Non vogliono restare per forza vincolati all'hardware in futuro, ma vogliono procedere con cautela nei prossimi 5 anni.
  • Il lancio della next gen non dipende dal Competitor ma da prezzo, marketing, tecnologia e situazioni regionali.
  • Il 40% degli abbonati Plus è sui tier più alti.
  • Focus sulla monetizzazione dell'utenza.
  • Espandere i metodi di fruizione, e offrire porte di ingresso più accessibili alla piattaforma.
  • Il Focus di Bungie ora è su Marathon.
