Tipo ucciderlo?

Maledetti, io volevo solo Grace.

*Leon appears in the new trailer. Are there any other characters you can reveal anything about?

Nakanish (director) - First of all, I want to make it clear that the only playable characters in this game are Leon and Grace. As for the other characters, you'll have to wait and see.

*Does this game have "dual protagonists, Grace and Leon?" When Leon appeared in the trailer, I felt a strong sense of security, and I wondered if Grace would be overshadowed by Leon's presence.

Nakanishi - Yes. With two main characters, the gameplay is split roughly evenly between the two characters.

The story unfolds as the two intertwine. Fans who started playing the game because they liked Grace will be able to fully enjoy Grace's story, and of course, there are plenty of Leon fans, so they'll also be able to enjoy Leon's.

I caused quite a stir a while back when I said, "Leon isn't really suited to horror." (laughs) Scenes like the one shown at TGS the other day, where Grace is terrified by monsters, are more suited to that character, so we wanted to create a distinctly different experience. Combining two completely different gameplay experiences was a challenge for us.

We were a little nervous, but the contrast in intensity and the emotional tossing around are a new experience. It feels great to go into a hot sauna, endure it, and then jump into a cold bath...it's a sort of "balance" in a way. (laughs) In that sense, it 's a gameplay experience unlike anything in the Resident Evil series before, so I hope you'll give it a try.

In terms of the series, you can think of it as being similar in structure to the first Resident Evil: Revelations . It's structured to bring out the best in the contrasting characters of Leon and Grace.

*You previously said that "Leon wouldn't be a hardcore horror film" and "I had always wanted to make Leon the main character," but does that mean that Grace came about later?

Nakanishi - That's true before the project was solidified. When the project started, we already decided to go with two main characters.

If we had made the whole thing just about Grace, it would be incredibly scary. But since we use Leon's part as a "relaxation" between tension and relaxation, I think players will feel a sense of security, thinking, "This is Leon's part, I can manage this!"

We consciously use each experience as part of the horror structure.

We've structured it so that the overall feeling of satisfaction is "scary, but also exhilarating."

One last thing I'd like to say is that Leon is in his strongest state, but in this film he will be pushed to the limit more than ever before. I think the important thing is that this will be a battle that challenges his limits.

Look forward to it being released on SHOWCASE in January 2026.

*You said that Leon's battles are based on "RE:4," but this game has a first-person perspective in addition to the third-person perspective, so what is the feel like in that?

Nakanishi - That was also a challenge for us.

Of course, we've made efforts to make it possible to play from either perspective.

We hope to be able to show you a gameplay video of Leon at the Capcom SHOWCASE scheduled for January 2026.

Cmq quando c'è Leon, c'è Ada... Dusk che dice? :sard:
