Saga of Tanya the Evil Anime Film Reveals New Key Visual, Character Visuals

The official website for the anime adaptation of Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki's Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yōjo Senki) novel series revealed a third visual on Friday for the upcoming anime film.

The site also revealed character visuals for the film. The characters from left to right include Tanya, Visha, Rerugen, Rudersdorf, Zettour, Drake, and Mary.

The film will open in Japan on February 8, 2019. MYTH&ROID will return to perform the film's theme song.

The official website for the anime adaptation of Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki's Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yōjo Senki) novel series unveiled a trailer for the upcoming anime film on Tuesday.


The website also announced the cast for new characters that will appear in the film:

Saga of Tanya the Evil Anime Film's Clip Shows Tanya Attacking Enemy HQ

The official website for the anime adaptation of Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki's Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yōjo Senki) novel series began streaming a 200-second clip from the franchise's anime film on Friday. The clip shows Tanya and her unit being fooled by an enemy stratagem, but turning the tables and assaulting the enemy headquarters.

The film opened in Japan on February 8. Kadokawa reported to the Bunka Tsushin news website on Thursday that the film has earned 100 million yen (about US$906,285) in its first five days.

Saga of Tanya the Evil TV Anime Gets 2nd Season

A live-streamed special for The Saga of Tanya the Evil (Yōjo Senki) television anime announced on Saturday that production on a second season has been green-lit. The Saga of Tanya the Evil II season will feature the returning cast and staff. The special unveiled a preview video and key visual for the new season.

In addition, the original novel's illustrator Shinobu Shinotsuki, the anime's character designer and chief animation director Yuji Hosogoe, and the manga artist Chika Tōjō drew the following illustrations to celebrate the news:
