Nevertheless, the posts have become so repetitive and, in some cases, toxic that we are putting our Sonic-style block feet down and no longer allowing new posts on the subject. Several comment threads have also been locked.

For the brigaders from r/Genshin_Impact wishing to cause drama: stop. You will be permanently banned if it's clear, based on your profile history, that you're only here to troll Sonic fans.

For fellow Sonic enjoyers who are spreading toxic lies about Genshin fans: stop. What would Sonic say if he saw you calling them every insult in the book?

Now because of people on the r/Sonicthehedgehog subreddit and here being sore winners (a mild understatement on what was happening), now there are Genshin Fans voting just to spite Sonic, which combined with the select few that were absolutely using bots (be honest Genshin fans, you know for a fact there can and will be people who believe in the freemogems and will use bots to get them, it’s just plausible deniability that they haven’t outed themselves), is just destroying Sonic’s lead. We wouldn’t be in this mess if people had just kept their freaking mouths shut and just enjoyed the lead silently. Of course, then the GoW or Elden Ring fanbases would’ve still been toxic enough to try and get the Genshin fanbase riled up anyways, using whatever they can to ensure it happens (because both fanbases have proven themselves to be spiteful as hell, considering the awful treatment of they did to each other just because they were both in the running for the real Game of the Year award). But that doesn’t change the fact that the fact they didn’t need to do anything was because of a ton of people here being annoying and rude shits. Do I believe Genshin deserves said win? Honestly, no because ongoing games already have an award that exclusively exists as a general Game of the Year award for ongoing games, and I personally think both it and Minecraft didn’t deserve to be on the Player’s Choice awards much like how they aren’t in Game of the Year. Does that mean I’ll be a spiteful shithead? No, no it does not.

I mean the problem is the fans are harassing and slandering other communities while doing so. It's doesn't give a good outlook for the Sonic community and simply attracting bad publicity towards the franchise.

Sonic Frontiers might actually have a solid chance of winning the award if they didn't decided to slander and harass the genshin community and now the whole community is triggered all the way to China.

You'd think the developers see all this shit happening and would be proud of what the community had done?

Yeah, at this point I feel sonic community is far more toxic community then any game I know. I know it's big W for them as they got good game after long time.

It's ok if you want to win, but harassing another community is never Ok. It's just show how desperate the community is. Even genshin community isn't that desperate even if they might get rewards which likely won't as genshin has never given awards for fan voted awards and they are aware of that, but's it's TGA so can't be 100% sure.
