Patch di Shadow of the Tomb Raider:

  • su Xbox Series il gioco viene letto come titolo nativo current-gen (ma secondo DF in realtà il gioco non è stato ottimizzato sui nuovi dev-kit), mentre PS5 lo legge ancora come titolo PS4 in modalità retrocompatibilità;
  • risoluzione 2016p su Series X, 2160p con checkboard su PS5. Entrambe non mantengono i 60 fps fissi ma PS5 è più vicina al target (a scapito di una risoluzione nativa più bassa);
  • in modalità performance il gioco gira a 1080p e 60 fps fissi su entrambe le console;

Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut:

  • in modalità grafica la risoluzione raggiunge i 2160p con checkboard;
  • in modalità perfomance la risoluzione raggiunge i 1800p con checkboard;
  • entrambe le modalità mantengono i 60 fps con costanza, al punto che per DF la modalità perfomance è inutile;
  • oltre a risoluzione, frame rate e sporadici miglioramenti ad alcune texture, il gioco è tecnicamente identico alla versione per PS4 Pro;
  • tutte le cut scene sono renderizzate in real time a 30 fps, con lip-sync generato via IA anche per il doppiaggio giapponese;

Comunque Crysis e qualsiasi FPS a 30 FPS neanche gratis :sisi:

PS5 Ray-Tracing Mode: Dynamic 2160p at 30FPS with Ray-Traced shadows. (2160p ~ 1440p) 1800p Average
PS5 Performance Mode: Dynamic 2160p at 60FPS without Ray-Tracing. (2160p ~ 1368p) 1440p Average
PS5 Quality Mode: Dynamic 2160p at variable 60FPS without Ray-Tracing (2160p ~ 1800p) Average of 1800p
The PC version reduces its resolution by up to about 20% with AMD FSR with all settings in Ultra on an RTX 3080.
Click to shrink...
Both versions have the September 12 release patch installed.
PS5 uses temporal reconstruction rendering to scale the resolution. I don't know if it's AMD FSR, but I wouldn't rule it out.
Ray-tracing is applied in the shadows generated by natural lighting and part of the ambient occlusion. However, the main character does not cast a shadow.
PS5 features some noisy shadows in Ray-Tracing mode. Especially in small closed places.
In some areas, when ray-tracing is activated, the lighting direction is also modified to favor and get more out of this option. This results some scenarios with quite interesting differences.
Reflections on PC have higher resolution, however their overall quality leaves something to be desired on both platforms.
The overall textures are of the same quality on both platforms and modes. Some have a quality really worthy of the Nextgen.
The PS5 quality mode features superior anisotropic filtering over Performance / Ray-Tracing mode (similar to the PC version).
The PC version has a slightly higher draw distance.
Ray-tracing mode on PS5 has stuttering issues. The quality mode ranges from 60 ~ 40fps.
Definitely, the most recommended way to enjoy Deathloop on PS5 is Performance. 60FPS is non-negotiable in this game.

Arkane's Deathloop is an extremely impressive game on PS5 - but what's the score with PC? Alex Battaglia stacks up the PC version against the console game, generates optimised settings, talks about the so-called 'micro stutter' issues and essentially tells you everything you need to know.
summary forthcoming
  • at launch, stutter is from botched mouse movement
  • because of this, stutter is apparent with VRR
  • lock your framerate
  • at first launch, there's a consistent (actual) stutter, any new launch removes the stutter
  • beta patch "juliashotme" fixes the mouse stutter, does not work on non-60/120fps refreshes yet
  • to maintain a target framerate, you need a lot of headroom on your gpu, recommended to use dynamic resolution
  • performance dynamic res aggressively scales the image to maintain framerate
  • optimized settings is essentially ps5 settings
  • PS5 uses balanced ambient occlusion
  • ps5 model detail is at high
  • ps5 water detail uses very high setting
  • ps5 using medium motion blur
  • shadows should be high or ultra
  • very high terrain
  • ultra decals (affects bullet holes)
  • optimized increased 31% over ultra settings
  • visual quality mode ps5 has similar performance between a 2060S and 2070S / 10% higher than a 5700
  • PS5 RT is lower than the lowest PC setting
  • 2060S can produce locked 30fps and better, not blurry IQ than PS5's RT mode
  • 3080 and 6800XT has same performance, rasterized
  • RT adds 7.2ms of render time for 3080, 11.2ms for 6800
  • performance RTAO is the better option
  • PS5 uses High Textures
  • going over budget does not cause stuttering, just cause low res textures closer to the camera
  • performance scales with bandwidth
  • 4.5% performance loss v.high vs low on a 2070S
  • v.high textures are worth it
  • Ryzen 3600/2060S can do dynamic 4K/60 (raster only)
  • 3080 can do native 4K/~70 (raster only)
  • with RT, dynamic 1440/60
  • with RT, 3080 dynamic 4K/60
