New Tiger & Bunny Anime Project Revealed as Double Decker! Doug & Kirill Original Anime Series

Sunrise opened a website on Friday to announce that the previously announced new anime project in the Tiger & Bunny franchise is titled Double Decker! Doug & Kirill. The anime will premiere this year.
The official website also revealed that this "buddy series" anime is "one part" of the new Tiger & Bunny anime series project. The series will follow a two-man detective team: one who is a veteran and one who is a rookie.

The anime will star Satoshi Mikami (Durarara!!×2's Sloan, Record of Grancrest War's Aubest Meletes) as Doug Billingam (pictured left above), and Kōhei Amasaki (Mob Psycho 100's Takeshi Hoshino, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans' Takaki Uno) as Kirill Vlueberry (pictured right). (Note: the spelling of the last names of both characters isn't yet confirmed.)

Takeshi Furuta (Utano☆Princesama Legend Star, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments director, episode director and storyboarder on original Tiger & Bunny series) is directing the series at Sunrise. Ryo Ando (Interviews with Monster Girls) is in charge of series production, and Tomohiro Suzuki (Tiger & Bunny, One-Punch Man, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept.) is returning to oversee the series scripts. Manga creator Masakazu Katsura (Zetman) is returning to design the main characters, and Tokuhiro Itagaki is returning from the Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- and Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning films to handle the animation character design. Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!, Death Parade) is composing the music.

Hollywood's Tiger & Bunny Film Moves Forward With Global Road, Akiva Goldsman

Bandai Namco Pictures announced on Tuesday that Global Road Entertainment and Weed Road Pictures are new partners in the proposed live-action Hollywood film adaptation of Sunrise's Tiger & Bunny anime. Ellen Shanman (Everything Nice, Liv) is continuing to write the screenplay. Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and President Erica Huggins of Imagine Entertainment are still producing the project with Bandai Namco Pictures' Masayuki Ozaki. Joining them are Global Road Entertainment's President of Worldwide Production Lynn Harris (Warner's Gravity, Man of Steel) and Weed Road Pictures' Akiva Goldsman.

Su Crunchyroll.it è appena iniziato "Double Decker! Doug & Kirill" spinoff di "Tiger e Bunny"! 

Non l'ho ancora visto, ma lo farò presto perchè sono una fan della serie.

Intanto ricordo che la Planet Manga ha pubblicato in Italia il manga, ben disegnato ma purtroppo che non copre tutta la serie animata (uscito dopo l'anime), ma comunque l'ho trovato ben fatto, anche se rivolto a chi già conosceva la serie.

 
Double Decker! Doug & Kirill Anime Gets Manga by Tiger & Bunny's Mizuki Sakakibara

The official blog for the Tonari no Young Jump editorial department announced on Friday that Sunrise's Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, an anime series that is "one part" of the "new Tiger & Bunny animation project," will get a manga adaptation that will run on both Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website and the YanJan! app. The first chapter will debut at midnight on October 1, only a few hours after the anime's debut. Tiger & Bunny manga artist Mizuki Sakakibara is returning to draw the series.

Ho visto il primo episodio di "Double Decker! Doug & Kirill" e la risposta è... ni. L'universo di Tiger e Bunny (una delle mie serie preferite) c'è, e anche dei personaggi interessanti, come tutta la storia del traffico di droga. Ma non mi ha colpito molto. Vedremo i prossimi episodi!

 
Onestamente mi sembra il classico spinoff approssimativo che esiste per mantenere/spremere la fanbase in mancanza della serie vera.

 
Mmmmh.. domani vedo le prime due, aspettative zero. Ridatemi Tiger & Bunny quelli veri.

The official website for Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, the anime series that is "one part" of Sunrise "new Tiger & Bunny animation project," announced on Friday that a new three-episode Double Decker! Doug & Kirill Extra Story anime has been green-lit for streaming and home video release. The Extra Story anime will be available for streaming on pay-per-view and subscription services, as well as on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.

Doug & Kirill Extra Story anime. The episodes will stream on Bandai Channel in the following months:

  • February: EX episode 1, "Nana-nin no Keiji no Nichijō!" (The Daily Lives of 7 Detectives)
  • March: EX episode 2, "Infernal Unfair!"
  • April: EX episode 3, "Keiji Kariage Yukemuri Satsujin Jikenbo!" (Detective Buzz-Cut: The Case of the Steam Murderer
The episodes will also be available on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.

Doug & Kirill Extra Story anime on Wednesday. The premiere dates are:

  • February 10: EX episode 1, "Nana-nin no Keiji no Nichijō!" (The Daily Lives of 7 Detectives, set between episodes 4 and 5)
  • March 10: EX episode 2, "Infernal Unfair!" (set between episodes 8 and 9)
  • April 10: EX episode 3, "Keiji Kariage Yukemuri Satsujin Jikenbo!" (Detective Buzz-Cut: The Case of the Steam Murderer, set after episode 13)

Non sono felice. nononononono.

Mi raccomando oltre alla serie tv va visto assolutamente il 2 film, che continua la trama e ha pure un bel colpo di scena (che penso riprenderanno nella 2° stagione).
