Until Dawn - Release scheduled for summer 2013:

The last great hope for PlayStation Move on the PS3 is probably the horror adventure Until Dawn, during the Gamescom was unveiled last year.

In the game a small group of teenagers is terrorized by an unknown psychopath, while you can see through the eyes of the killer, like the young Michael Meyers from 'Halloween'. Until Dawn involves many inspirations from game classics such as Datura or Silent Hill, and the concept is based on the classic teen horror movies, so that you alone should allow the watching in excitement.

So far only recognized gross in 2013, Until Dawn will appear this summer.

Rumor: Until Dawn adds DualShock controller support

Fast forward to today and the reveal of the game’s official boxart on Amazon. The banner along the top states that the game is “PlayStation Move Compatible” instead of “PlayStation Move Required,” implying that DualShock support will ultimately be included in the game.

So we should all celebrate, right? Not so fast. Until Dawn’s profile page on PlayStation.com shows a “PlayStation Move Required” banner along the top, but it also features a tiny picture of the new boxart that includes the “PlayStation Move Compatible” wording. We’ve contacted Sony and will update this story with the official word once we hear it.

Last summer, Sony revealed an interesting game called Until Dawn. This PlayStation 3-exclusive title from Supermassive Games promised to bring all of the over-the-top, ridiculous elements of a teen horror movie to games, and when we saw it at New York Comic Con, we were impressed.
But since then, all has been quiet about Until Dawn. Folks have been speculating what the status of the game is, and some were even concerned that it may have been cancelled. But it’s not so.

A source confirmed to IGN that “Until Dawn is still very much in development,” following-up with news that folks at Supermassive “expect to be able to talk more about it quite soon.” Sony declined to comment on the game.

So there you go, PlayStation gamers. Until Dawn is thankfully not stuck in the same relentless development hell that, say, Warrior’s Lair is clearly stuck in. And hopefully, that ends up being good news when Until Dawn finally reaches the PlayStation 3.

Nuovo primo post. Hype!

Vedrete che si giocherà anche senza Move! :ivan:

Prima dell'E3 arriverà qualcosa penso //content.invisioncic.com/a283374/emoticons/sisi.gif
Daje!

Mi intriga troppo, ha un'atmosfera stupenda!

Thanks to some findings by superannuation, it looks as though Until Dawn is still happening, as they found a job listing posted by MPG that sounds awfully familiar to one available at developer Supermassive Games, while also describing something that sounds exactly like Until Dawn:

MPG Universal – Animation Programmer

Since their establishment several years ago, this independent developer have, through careful and sustained growth, grown to a team in excess of 100 and have worked on a number of widely respected cross platform titles. Currently they are working on several PlayStation projects all at varying stages of development. They are looking for an experienced animation programmer to join their programming team (circa 50-60) to work on a superb pre-adolescent horror adventure title whose inspiration is driven from timeless horror movie classics.

Supermassive Games – Animation Programmer

We have several PlayStation-exclusive titles at various stages of development and are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Animation Programmer to help us deliver on our ambitious plans.

We have built an energetic, creative studio where everyone can contribute to all aspects of games development. You’ll find us informal and flexible, but hard working and passionate about what we do. Our philosophy has been to foster a creative, supportive and fun environment whilst trusting people to get on with their jobs.

Looking at the latest update for the Until Dawn product page on their website, it still has a release date of “2013 exclusively to PlayStation 3,” with the opening of the description reading: “We’ve been working on this game for a while now, working with Hollywood writers and US TV talent, doing our best to bring the Teen Horror experience to PlayStation. Inspired by classic movies in the genre, we expect that Until Dawn will draw you in with its characters, killer dialogue and shocking, twisted story.”
