A portion of an RPGLand interview with producer Tomoya Asano...

RPGLand: Is there anything you’d like to say to our readers, in closing?

Mr. Asano: I know that we don’t have plans to bring the game over to America yet, but thank you for your interest in the game. Keep talking about it on Facebook and Twitter, and keep watching for new info from us!

Full interview here (thanks Chaos_Warchild!)

Dettagli ultima demo

- gather five beast livers for one of the townspeople

- earn these by defeating Panthers and White Caits

- all of the jobs start off at level one, but level up really fast

- the first townsfolk quest takes fifteen minutes

- others take a couple of hours

- restoring the town makes the sell better items

- the wanderer is an adventurer who acts as a save point and mid-dungeon item store

- another villager asks you to bring back seven devil tails

- defeat Imps to get these

- Imps only appear at night

- Imps are more vicious than other enemies since they use drain magic to steal HP and cast fear

- some Imps are paired with Venom Snakes, which can inflict poison

- features Ninja, Venus/Valkyrie, and Sword Master classes

- Valkyrie/Venus looks like Bravely Default’s Dragoon

- this class starts off with the Jump ability

- after you level him up you get Crescent Moon, an attack that hits all of the enemies on screen

- Jump and Crescent Moon consume BP (brave points) instead of magic points

- can't double jump, but you can use Crescent Moon twice

- this drops your Brave to –3, which means you have to wait *three* turns until you can attack again

- using Crescent Moon twice usually kills all of the enemies

- this will win the battle with a bonus for finishing within one turn

- Valkyrie/Venus also get an attack boost if a character dies in battle

- Ninja is an evasive class

- Ninjas start off with an ability that gives you a 100% chance to evade one physical attack

- next two skills: one grants a counterattack after evading and the other gives your character an attack boost if you evade

- Sword Master has an innate ability to counterattack

- first battle skill boosts the amount of damage a counterattack deals

- also get an ability to cleave an enemy’s BP which can prevent them from attacking

Un potenziale seguito di Bravely Default probabilmente sarebbe sviluppato su 3DS

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy literally just came out in Japan. As usual though, fans already are interested in a sequel!
One fan asked the game’s official Twitter if a follow-up would also land on the 3DS, after purchasing the system just to play Square Enix’s RPG

The reply was as follows:

“Depending on the circumstances, I don’t think it would change. Because I think a lot of people bought a 3DS for Bravely Default.”

Bravely Default non trasporta i DLC in una nuova partita

There’s something a bit concerning with Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. It appears that the game won’t transfer over any DLC when starting a new game.

A note from Square Enix reads:

“If you start your game from ‘New Game’, the acquired reward items will be deleted along with your play data.

Furthermore, the items you have received once cannot be resent, so items you acquired in the past will not be usable. Please keep that in mind if you play a game from ‘New Game’.”

Players can acquire Bravely Default items in a few ways, as long as they belong to the Square Enix Members program.

One code is provided with the game itself and provides a new outfit. Another comes with the official soundtrack, which also offers a unique outfit. Famitsu had a code for an axe while Dengeki hosted an online survey that handed out a spear once completed.

This isn’t traditional DLC –
you’re not really buying it from the eShop – but it is still bewildering. I really have no idea why Square Enix couldn’t make it so players could transfer these items over to a new game, honestly.
