Korean version of Samurai Shodown II has several differences compared to the other versions: • Attract mode is completely silent. There are no music or sound effects regardless of the settings in the options menu. • All blood is recolored to white. • There are no in-game fatalities, though the referees still take away the opponent's corpse after the match ends. • The background on the title screen is completely different.

Q*bert's cube pyramid gameplay came from an "Escher Pattern", which looked like a screen full of cubes. Warren Davis saw it as a pyramid of cubes and as a programing exercise. Once Davis had a game design in mind, he asked Jeff Lee if he could use a few characters, which Lee was planning to use for another, unrelated game. According to Davis, Lee's idea for Q*bert's design was for him to shoot things out of his nose, which is why he has a long nose.

Mudokon Pop was originally a severed Mudokon head on a stick. Due to an incident in Japan in which someone was murdered at a school and their head placed on a post in front of the school, the Mudokon Pop was changed to a regular ice cream shape, with cartoonish Mudokon eyes and stitches on it in the Japanese release of Abe's Oddysee, as well as Abe's Exodus in all regions, as the original appearance was deemed too similar in nature. This new logo design was also used in the "New 'N' Tasty" remake.

The logo on the side of the game's early box art shows that it was intended to have online functionality, but no such feature is present in the final game.

There was a weapon that was supposed to be used in the game called the "Revolverator", but it was cut off from the game. According to game designer "Corey Stockton", when you find a colorless Revolverator in the "Insomniac Museum" from "Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando", he said: "You may recognize this drill from Ratchet and Clank 1. It was held by a "large construction worker (The Miner from Hoven)" who gives you a lump of Raritanium. This was originally a weapon called the Revolverator. Ratchet would strike enemies with it and then spin them over his head with the drill bit. Unfortunately, this ended up leaving Ratchet open for attack, and also required a lot of resources to pull off, so it was cut."

In "Chapter 3: Lair of the Leviathan", if you actually give Coronado De Cava 100,000 grubs, he will say "Excellent! That's all the grubs we need! We'll be out of here faster than you can say dusky leaf monkey!", and then raise the sunken ship to the surface.
