Kakegurui Anime's 2nd Season Video Reveals More Cast, Ending Song Info, January 8 Debut

The official website for Kakegurui××, the second anime season based on Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui manga, began streaming the anime's second promotional video on Thursday. The video previews the anime's opening theme song "Kono Yubi Tomare" by JUNNA, and also reveals the anime's January 8 premiere.

 


The video reveals Romi Park as the anime original character Rei "Batsubami."

The site and video also revealed that D-selections will perform the anime's ending theme song "AlegriA." TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND is composing and writing the lyrics for the song.

 
The anime will premiere on MBS on January 8 at 26:30 (effectively January 9), and will also premiere on TV Aichi on January 9; on Tokyo MX, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, and BS NTV on January 13; and will begin streaming on Netflix in Japan on January 10.

The official website for Kakegurui××, the second anime season based on Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui manga, revealed the show's new key visual on Thursday. The visual previews the anime's "The Tower of Doors" arc.

Avex is also streaming a lyric video for D-selections' ending theme song "AlegriA."



The anime will feature a returning cast and 11 new cast members. JUNNA will perform the opening theme song "Kono Yubi Tomare."

Live-Action Kakegurui Series' 2nd Season Reveals Visual, March Premiere

The official website for the live-action adaptations of Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler manga revealed a new visual and the premiere date for the show's second season on Monday. The series will premiere on MBS on March 31 at 12:50 a.m. (effectively April 1), and will also premiere on TBS on April 2 at 1:28 a.m. (effectively April 3). The new series will air on the "Dramaism" time slot of both channels.

The cast members will reprise their roles for the second season of the series. Sayuri Matsumura joins the cast Yumemi Yumemite and Elaiza Ikeda will play Kirari Momobari. Katsuhito Motegi and Shinya Nagano are directing the second season, with Minato Takano and Tsutomu Hanabusa penning the scripts. Hanabusa is also credited as overall director.

A new live-action film will open in May.

Live-Action Kakegurui Series' 2nd Season Reveals Theme Songs

The February issue of Square Enix's Gangan Jokermagazine revealed the theme song artists for the second live-action television season based on Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler manga on Tuesday. The rock band BIGMAMA returns from the first season to provide the new theme song "mummy mummy." The female idol group PassCode will perform the opening song "Ichi ka Bachi ka" (All or Nothing), which also serves as the opening song for the upcoming live-action film.

Live-Action Kakegurui Film Announces 4 Original Characters

The official website for the live-action adaptations of Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler manga announced on Thursday that four original characters will appear in the upcoming live-action film. The newly announced cast, pictured in costume, include:

 
Hio Miyazawa as Amane Murasame, the leader of a new influential group called "Village," which opposes both the student council and Yumeko

Former Nogizaka46 idol Marika Itō as Tomu Inuhachi, a school outlaw

Entertainment news website Cinema Today began streaming a new trailer on Friday for the live-action film adaptation of Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura's Kakegurui - Compulsive Gambler manga. The video previews Soraru's theme song "I Fake Me."

The film will open on May 3. Original creator Kawamoto is collaborating on the film's original story. A separate live-action television series will premiere on March 31.

Kakegurui's Homura Kawamoto, Read or Die Manga's Shutaro Yamada Launch New Manga

This year's 19th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine revealed on Wednesday that manga creators Homura Kawamoto (Kakegurui), Hikaru Muno, and Shutaro Yamada (Read or Die manga) will launch a new manga titled Greatest M - Ijin Mahjong Taisen (Greatest M - The Tournament for the Greatest Mahjong Player).in Shogakukan's Sunday Webry website on April 21. Kawamoto and Muno are credited with the original work, while Yamada is credited with the art. Mika Mizuguchi will supervise the manga. Yamada drew the below illustration to celebrate the manga's announcement.
