- A-1 Pictures Animates Blend S Manga for Fall Broadcast
The July issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine is revealing on Sunday that A-1 Pictures (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend, Ace Attorney, Oreimo 2) is animating the television anime adaptation of Miyuki Nakayama's Blend S four-panel manga. The anime is slated to premiere in October.
The manga's story centers on a girl named Maika who gets a job at a cafe where all the waitresses are given certain attributes — such as "tsundere" or "little sister" — to embody while serving customers. The manager asks Maika to be the "Do S" (extreme sadist) waitress, so she will have to adopt a dominant and aggressive persona.

The July issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine revealed more cast members for the television anime of Meguru Ueno's Hajimete no Gal (First-Time Gal) manga on Friday. The new cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Shinpei Sakamoto, Kenji Akabane as Keigo Ishida, and Minoru Shiraishi as Minoru Kobayakawa .
The anime will premiere in July, and will have 10 episodes and one OVA.
- Takuya Satō, Yōko Hikasa Join Cast of Altair: A Record of Battles Anime
The July issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine revealed on Thursday character designs and two new cast members for this summer's television anime of Kotono Katō's historical fantasy manga Altair: A Record of Battles (Shōkoku no Altair). Takuya Satō will play Ibrahim, and Yōko Hikasa will play Shara.

The official website for the television anime of Naru Narumi's Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san (Ms. Koizumi loves ramen noodles) manga revealed the show's key visual and main staff on Friday.
Kenji Seto (both seasons of The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water) is directing the series at Studio Gokumi (Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn, Kinmoza! Kiniro + Mosaic). Tatsuya Takahashi (Eromanga Sensei, And you thought there is never a girl online?) is handling the series composition, and Takuya Tani (Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn) is designing the characters.
The gourmet comedy follows the daily life of Koizumi, a high school girl who looks like a cool beauty at first glance, but actually has an unexpected side of her that loves ramen.
