PSP "Gensou Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki"
In the introduction to the tale, after the main character meets with the "Hundredth-Year Monster," he time-slips 100 years in the past, where he learns sword techniques from his ancestor. When he returns to the present, he repels the Hundredth-Year Monster, but...In addition, four characters are introduced.
I'll use the romaji, and everyone can come up with their own romanizations. The name in parenthesis is the voice actor.
Chiki Star - Toruwado Arubureku
(Daisuke Ono)
The main character's ancestor from 100 years ago.
Chimou Star - Rorufu Raugu
(Kōji Yusa)
Toruwado's close friend.
Tenju Star - Iria Barukai
(Mamiko Noto)
The village healer.
Tensui Star - Meamei
(Hisako Kanemoto)
A 亜人種 girl.
I've only seen 亜人 used once as a non-proper noun, and that was in a manga called "Blue Inferior," where it was translated as "sub-human." 種 is used to mean "material" or "variety," so my only guess is that she might be one of a class of people who are considered less than human.
I can probably squeeze out some legit-sounding names for some of these--"Rolph" for "Rorufu," for example--but "Meamei" sounds very odd to me. It would be pronounced "may-a-may-ee" or just "may-a-may," depending on how much emphasis you want to give each character. I have no idea how to romanize this.
